Chapter 99 Welcoming the Goblin Cub
The morning light shines through the light mist into the vibrant fairy forest. The towering sacred trees are dyed golden by the gorgeous sunset glow.
Thousands of fairies got up early, flapped their wings, and flew to the breeding room.
The gestation room is hundreds of meters away from the sacred tree and covers a large area. It is a small inner garden of considerable size, planted with many rare plants and flower buds for nurturing little fairies.
Today is the day when the fairy cubs leave the nursery, and all the fairies in the forest go out to greet them happily.
Shu Li dressed herself up neatly. The small flower crown was changed into a silver forehead ring inlaid with emeralds, her golden hair was tied into a high ponytail, she wore a white pleated dress, ribbon-tied shoes, a gold-woven belt around her waist, and a cloak embroidered with tender grass patterns hung on her shoulders.
"Good morning, Sperian." Angel flew over and hugged him affectionately.
"Good morning." Shu Li hugged back.
Ten-year-old Angel's facial features have grown. He is half an inch taller than him. His shoulder-length silver hair hangs down softly. There is an aqua blue gem in the middle of the golden forehead ring. He has heroic eyebrows, amber eyes, delicate features and handsomeness. He wears a light blue robe and looks full of vitality.
"Where's Desio?" Shu Li looked around. "Budno isn't here either?"
"They're behind!" Angel pointed.
Shu Li looked in the direction he pointed, and saw Disio and Budno flying towards them listlessly, like brothers in distress.
What's going on?
Budno is notoriously difficult to get up, so it is normal for him to be late. Discio is usually energetic and full of vitality, but today he is just as listless as Budno.
"Desio, Budno, this way--" Shu Li waved and shouted at them.
When Discio heard the boss's voice, he regained a bit of energy, flapped his cicada-wing-like wings, increased his speed, and his red hair flew like a bright flame.
When Budno saw that he had left him behind, he immediately cheered up and chased after him.
"Sperian--" Disio put his arm around Shu Li's shoulders and rubbed them aggrievedly.
Shu Li was confused by his appearance. She patted him on the back and asked, "What's wrong? Who bullied you?"
He looked at Budno, who spread his hands innocently: "It has nothing to do with me."
Because he loves to stay in bed, he is always the last one out of the house. Who would have thought that Disio, who used to get up early, not only got up late today, but also had black eyes and looked pitiful because he didn't get enough sleep.
Budno laughed loudly and without hesitation.
As a result, the other party did not fight back for the first time. He glanced at him lifelessly and flew past him like a ghost.
Budno was stunned, thinking that he was sick, and followed him, wanting to say something but stopping himself.
They flew all the way like this and finally arrived at the door of the gestation room. When they heard Sperian's cry, the "ghost" beside them instantly came to life.
Look, he's even shamelessly hugging Sperian.
Too much!
Shu Li couldn't get any clearer answers, so he could only pat Dixio on the back again. "If you have any worries, tell me, I'll help you solve them."
Disio sighed with a stern air, let go of Shu Li, and said in a depressed mood, "I dreamed of the fire spirit."
"Why?"
Shu Li, Angel, and Budno all looked at him in surprise.
"Then what?"
"Then..." Dizio puffed out his cheeks and whispered, "He said I was too young to be recognized by him yet, and asked me to come back to him in a hundred years."
Shu Li was speechless for a moment, then sympathetically comforted him, "It's okay, it's just a dream. Dreams and reality are opposites, don't take it seriously."
"Yes, yes!" Angel nodded. "Desio is so outstanding. The Fire Spirit will definitely like you when he sees you."
Budno grinned and said, "A hundred years from now, you will be a great wizard and won't need the Fire Spirit's approval."
Dizio glared at him.
Budno stepped forward and gently pounded his chest. "Good brother, why don't you level up with us?"
Disio hummed twice and raised his chin. "Okay, I'll agree to it with all my reluctance."
When Shu Li saw that he and Budno were arguing with each other, he knew that the storm was over.
"Come on, let's go to the front door of the gestational room. The cubs are about to come out."
The four young goblins scrambled to fly down from the branches, passed through the dense group of goblins, and tried hard to squeeze forward, trying to find a position near the front.
Seeing this, the adult goblin considerately gave up his seat.
"Thank you~"
The four young fairies smiled cutely and expressed their gratitude along the way.
When they squeezed to the front row, the door of the gestation room was slowly opening. All the fairies were alerted and looked over in unison.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, eight little cubs as big as dumplings, led by two enlightenment teachers, flew out of the door of the breeding room in a daze.
Each of the little cubs was carrying a large bag filled with things. It was probably too heavy, so they had to fly extremely hard. They had to flap their little wings hard to avoid being dragged to the ground by the weight of the bag.
Shu Li stared at the eight little cubs that looked like Fuwa, her eyes wide open.
So cute and pink!
Each one is white and plump, and the flesh on their arms and legs is like lotus roots, in sections, which is very cute.
They looked around curiously with innocent eyes. The little blond cub in the lead held his head high and chest puffed out, looking proud and confident, like a proud little peacock.
The adult goblin was amused by his appearance and laughed good-naturedly.
The little blond cub wiggled his ears and lifted his little chin even higher.
Shu Li covered her mouth and smiled, finally understanding why the adult goblins always looked for opportunities to RUA them when they were little.
The little cubs in their ignorant period are so adorable!
The eight little cubs were watched all the way to the sacred tree. Their enlightenment teacher first took them to their new home and settled them in before they went on a half-day tour of the sacred tree.
The fairies in front of the gestation room watched the cubs fly away, then gradually dispersed and went about their own business.
The student fairies returned to school one after another.
Shu Li fell behind in academic subjects. Even though he copied notes yesterday afternoon and evening, there were still many things he didn't understand, and he had a hard time attending class.
After finally making it to noon, the little goblins flew to the school cafeteria to eat.
In order to study longer, Shu Li was the last one to leave the classroom. With a notebook in hand, he memorized words as he flew, studying every minute.
"Sperian, are you Sperian?"
Suddenly, a childish voice sounded. Shu Li stopped in a hurry, lowered his head in confusion, and looked at several fair faces.
Huh? Huh? Huh?
Standing in front of him were eight cubs that were just a hundred days old.
It was the blond cub in the lead who asked him if he was from Sperian.
Being stared at by eight pairs of bright eyes, Shu Li felt a little flattered. She bent down slightly and smiled warmly. "Yes, I'm Sperian. What's your name?"
The blond cub patted his chest and said, "I'm Misina."
The other goblin pups followed suit and introduced themselves.
"My name is Ruth."
"My name is Timya."
"I'm Lan Luoer!"
"I am……"
Shu Li was confused by the string of names and quickly raised his hand to pause. "Wait a moment, I'll write it down."
He took out a quill and turned the notebook to a blank page. Based on the appearance of each cub, he quickly drew eight stick figures and labeled each one with the corresponding name.
Misina had a look of understanding on her face, and muttered to the other cubs, "He's really a Sperian. He can't remember our names all of a sudden."
"Yes, yes! Sperian is the worst at remembering names."
"He also often calls people by the wrong names."
"Is he taking notes in a notebook?"
"Danya said taking notes is a good habit."
"Yeah, so we bought a lot of little notebooks."
The goblin cubs were discussing among themselves. When Shu Li heard what they were saying, a few vertical lines slid down his forehead. He barely finished writing the last name and pretended to be calm as he put the notebook and quill pen into the storage ring.
"Aren't you going to the cafeteria for lunch?" he asked.
"We're done eating!" Misia touched her round belly.
The cubs were the first to enter the cafeteria, and they all ate with gusto. When other fairy students came in, none of them looked like Sperian, so they asked a red-haired fairy boy and learned that Sperian had not arrived yet, so they waited for him at the cafeteria door.
Shu Li couldn't understand the little cubs' train of thought, so she patiently asked, "Aren't you going home for a nap?"
Children's bodies are growing, and adequate sleep helps their growth, development and learning ability.
"We're waiting for you." Misia's blue eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Was it true that you were captured by a Secken bird named Deklet when you were a child?"
Shu Li was stunned and hadn't answered yet when the other cubs rushed to ask.
"And the Secken Bird found you and abandoned you on the edge of the Goblin Forest, didn't it?"
"You encountered the demonic snake Bazin Burgareth..."
"No, no, first I met a squirrel. I had to take out a dagger, point it at it and shout—"
“Back, back, back—”
The eight goblin cubs unison drew the daggers hanging from their waists and sang with full energy: "Brave Sperion, fearless of danger, determined to cross the forest and return to the sacred tree..."
Shu Li... Shu Li was petrified, cracked, shattered into pieces, and scattered all over the ground!
What he worried about finally happened!
The enlightenment fairy teacher will sing nursery rhymes to the newborn cubs.
Children's songs are humorous, interesting, inspiring, uplifting and catchy.
The fairy cubs love to sing nursery rhymes.
Ten years ago, his song "Brave Sperian" was widely circulated and every little elf could sing it. As they grew up, they gradually stopped singing nursery rhymes and sang complex poems instead.
However, he never expected that the enlightenment fairy teacher would tell his story to the newborn cubs as a course.
The tender singing of the eight little cubs attracted other goblins, and soon a group of goblins gathered at the entrance of the cafeteria.
Shu Li wanted to run away, but he hadn't eaten yet and his stomach was growling with hunger.
After waiting painfully for the cubs to finish singing, he took a deep breath, put on the airs of a "senior", gently stroked the round head of each cub, pinched their chubby cheeks, gritted his teeth... oh, but smiled warmly and said, "You sang very well."
Don't sing it next time! Seriously!
"Hehehe~"
Being praised, the little cub grinned with an innocent smile.
“Pah pah pah——”
The surrounding fairies applauded enthusiastically, but Shu Li alone looked up and asked the heavens in silence.
Under the adoring gazes of a group of cubs, Shu Li gracefully flew into the cafeteria, smiling. She spotted Jingjing, the top student, and rushed over. She shook his hand recklessly, saying tearfully, "Kumandi! Please! Please let the new poems lie quietly in your notebook!"
Kumandi: ...
