Chapter 87 Being Considered a Liar
The next day, it was another early shift. She got up early, went out to have breakfast, and then leisurely went to the factory to take over.
Today is another busy day.
I got home from get off work and had just taken a shower when I heard a knock on the door.
Dai Qing opened the door with wet hair and saw Mrs. Wang standing at the door. She was a little curious.
"Xiao Qing, you were right. Your uncle Wang is in the hospital."
"Auntie Wang, come in first, don't be anxious."
Dai Qing looked at the worry in her face, comforted her, invited the person in, and poured her a glass of water.
"What did the doctor say? Is it serious?"
"Thanks to your reminder, I have been keeping an eye on his condition. I saw something was wrong and I called the emergency number immediately. Fortunately, he was sent to the hospital in time. They said it was a mild stroke and he has woken up. But half of his body is still numb and he needs to stay in the hospital for a while."
Old Lady Wang said this while wiping her eyes with a handkerchief.
"Giving birth to a wicked child is fate."
"Now that things have come to this, you should be more open-minded. Once Uncle Wang is discharged from the hospital, this disaster will be over. After working hard for most of your life, it would be nice to live a peaceful and simple life in old age."
Although the money is not that much, it is still enough for the elderly to take care of themselves.
"You're right. Your uncle Wang and I also planned this. We've done our best and we don't owe him anything. That's it."
Old Lady Wang looked at Dai Qing and shook her head helplessly.
"Originally, I was discussing with the old man whether we should raise our grandson alone. The old man said that he was old and didn't have the energy to keep up. Who knew that the evil man and his wife happened to hear it, and they yelled at us like crazy, as if we were enemies..."
As Mrs. Wang spoke, she couldn't stop crying. She had never thought that her own son would speak ill of them.
"You're right. Even if we want to support our grandson, we will end up with nothing in return. Forget it. Let our children and grandchildren have their own blessings. Let's just leave it at that."
"It's okay as long as Aunt Wang can understand it." How can blood ties be severed so easily?
They couldn't bear it, but their son and daughter-in-law were not good enough. They were kind-hearted and had peaceful faces. Although they were lonely in their old age, they were safe. If their son and daughter-in-law were always around, it would only add to their troubles.
Old Mrs. Wang looked at Dai Qing gratefully and took out another red envelope from her bag and handed it to her.
"Thanks to Xiaoqing for reminding me. This is our intention. Please help me and my wife take a look at it."
"Auntie Wang, I already gave it to you last time. I can't accept it again."
Dai Qing looked at her face and knew that this family had begun to go downhill and had no more luck. There was no need to have her face read anymore and it was no longer within her range to charge money.
"This? You'd better accept it, otherwise I'll feel uneasy." Old Mrs. Wang was also a person who traveled around when she was young and had a lot of experience. Seeing that Dai Qing didn't accept the money, she looked uneasy.
It is a big taboo for a fortune teller not to charge money.
"Don't worry, Auntie Wang. I appreciate your thanks, but I really won't accept the money."
Mrs. Wang put the red envelope into her purse with regret. Just as she stood up to leave, the door was pushed open.
"Okay, I was wondering why my parents suddenly became unreasonable. It turns out it's you, the little liar, who's to blame."
A couple in their thirties rushed into the yard and stared at Dai Qing aggressively, especially the woman, who raised her hand and slapped Dai Qing in the face.
"I'll beat you to death, you little liar, you conscienceless girl. We're going to report you and put you in jail."
This sudden change frightened Old Lady Wang so much that her face turned pale and her mouth trembled. She wanted to move forward but was held down by the man.
