Chapter 269 Blood Red Cross Legion

Su Yan looked at Shalltear with a sharp gaze, his eyes full of confusion and curiosity: "Is there no limit to your blood-sucking ability? Can you absorb it without restraint?" Shalltear shook her head gently, the corners of her mouth slightly raised, revealing a mysterious smile: "That's of course impossible, but it's actually not too far off!" Then, she paused for a moment, as if thinking about how to explain it more clearly.

"As long as I'm willing, theoretically I can continue to absorb it. However, there's always a saturation limit. Once it exceeds this limit, I won't be able to absorb it anymore. Also, if I encounter an opponent with extremely powerful blood energy, I might only be able to absorb a few mouthfuls. Any more than that won't be enough." Shalltear said as she gestured with her hands, trying to make Su Yan better understand the logic.

Afterwards, Su Yan followed Shalltear outside the tribe. Not long after, they spotted Whitemane leading a mighty group of Red Crusaders. Whitemane's sharp gaze, like a hawk's, locked onto Su Yan and Shalltear before him. He couldn't help but let out a soft exclamation, "Oh? That's quite interesting! I didn't expect to see goblins and humans among this orc tribe."

After hearing this, Shalltear simply glanced at Whitemane with a look of disdain on her face, and sneered, "Hmph! They're just a bunch of guys seeking death, yet you have the guts to stand here and speak nonsense." However, before she could finish her words, Whitemane's eyes suddenly widened, and he stared at Shalltear viciously.

Suddenly, a blazing whip appeared in his hand. Like a swift, fiery dragon, it lashed out at Shalltear with lightning speed. At the same time, Whitemane roared, "Damn it! What I hate most is someone talking nonsense in my presence!"

Shalltear snorted coldly, holding the umbrella in front of her, and quickly took a step back, easily blocking Whitemane's attack.

Whitemane's expression turned cold, and he snorted coldly. The whip in his grip was instantly infused with immense power. The whip danced rapidly through the air, creating a series of sharp crackling sounds. It seemed to transform into an incredibly agile fire snake, swooping down towards Shalltear with its fangs and claws bared.

Yet, facing such a fierce attack, Shalltear showed no sign of panic. With a fleeting movement, she spun around like a fluttering butterfly, easily dodging the whip's attack. Her steps were graceful and relaxed, as if she were leisurely strolling through her own garden.

When Su Yan first saw this scene, he couldn't help but feel a surge of worry, fearing Shalltear wouldn't be able to withstand Whitemane's ferocious attack. But a moment later, he realized his worry was completely unnecessary. From Shalltear's effortless movements and demeanor, it was clear she wasn't using her full strength. It could even be said she was deliberately teasing Whitemane.

Since that was the case, Su Yan felt relieved and simply stood quietly to the side, watching the battle with Garona beside him. Garona was staring intently at Shalltear in the air, her eyes full of admiration: "This sister is really amazing!" Hearing this, Su Yan turned to look at Garona curiously and asked, "Oh? Why do you think so?"

Garona pointed at Shalltear who was twisting and turning in mid-air and explained, "Although she seems a little passive now and has been avoiding Whitemane's attacks, she is actually just behaving more casually. I dare say that she hasn't started fighting seriously yet!" After listening to Garona's analysis, Su Yan's mouth corners slightly raised, revealing a faint smile.

I have to admit that what Garona said does make sense. It seems that Shalltear really treats this battle as a game and is simply teasing Whitemane.

Whitemane stared wide-eyed, his every strike falling flat on his face, completely unable to reach the ghostly, elusive Shalltear. Shalltear's movements were light and graceful, as if she were strolling through the woods, not amidst the raging heat of battle.

This frustrating scene made Whitemane feel a deep sense of powerlessness and speechless. She gritted her teeth and swung the flaming whip in her hand again, but this time she cleverly changed her strategy and turned her attack target to the orc tribe gate in front.

With a crisp "crack," the incredibly solid gate of the orcish tribe shattered instantly under the fierce lash of the fire whip, turning into countless wood chips that flew everywhere. Seeing this, Whitemane shouted without hesitation, "Kill them!" As her command was issued, the imposing Crimson Cross army behind her immediately launched a fierce charge towards the orcish tribe ahead like a surging tide.

At the same time, Su Yan tightly grasped the gleaming Ten Directions Sword with both hands. With a flash of his body, he leaped into the air. His gaze, sharp as a hawk, locked onto the battle below. He shouted, "Shalltear! You'll handle these attackers. I'll handle this woman!" Before he even finished his words, he launched himself like an arrow, charging straight at Whitemane.

Facing such a brave and fearless Su Yan, Whitemane did not show any fear on his face. Instead, he revealed an extremely strong look of disdain.
