Chapter 287: Bravely Entering the Shadow Realm

Immediately, more soul-searchers emerged like ghosts. Suddenly, countless laser beams intertwined, forming an impenetrable net that enveloped Su Yan and Nali. This vast laser net resembled the gaping maw of a ferocious beast, emitting a chilling aura.

Faced with such a terrifying attack, Nali couldn't help but scream, "Ah! Run!" Her voice was filled with fear and anxiety. At the same time, she and the others desperately ran forward, trying to escape the Soul Hunter's pursuit.

"Why don't you shoot them down!" Nali asked anxiously as she galloped.

"Don't panic! I need to test their true strength first!" Su Yan responded loudly. He clutched the Ten Directions Sword tightly in his hand, his aura radiating like a rainbow. In the blink of an eye, he leaped into the air.

At this moment, the Ten Directions Sword in Su Yan's hand blazed with dazzling light, its sword energy crisscrossing and whistling as it charged towards the relentless Soul Hunters. Thus began a thrilling battle...

"Ah!" With a furious cry, Shalltear gripped the gleaming weapon tightly in both hands and slashed wildly at the Soul Seeker before her like a torrential downpour. Each of her strikes contained boundless power and fury, as if she were determined to completely crush the enemy before her.

At this moment, Su Yan, standing by, didn't dare to slack off. He gripped the Ten Directions Sword tightly, and in a flash, he was in front of Shalltear, swiftly brandishing his longsword. In an instant, piercing sword beams crisscrossed and flickered in the air, forming an impenetrable sword net that firmly protected Shalltear behind him.

"Hurry up! Don't be so stubborn. This place is more than you can handle!" Su Yan shouted at Shalltear with gritted teeth while fending off the Soul Searcher's attacks. However, Shalltear shook her head firmly, her eyes showing no sign of retreat.

At that moment, Nali, who was standing nearby, suddenly spoke up, "Okay, don't worry. These soul-hunters aren't that hard to deal with!" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, exquisite boomerang that shone with a mysterious light. Then, with a flick of her arm, the boomerang flew out like lightning, striking one of the soul-hunters squarely in the eye.

The soul-searcher who was hit immediately let out a shrill scream, lost his balance and fell straight back. Seeing this scene, Su Yan's heart moved, and he instantly realized the key to defeating the soul-searcher.

"I understand!" Su Yan shouted, and immediately adjusted the direction of his sword energy, focusing all his attacks on the soul-searchers' eyes. Although these soul-searchers were extremely agile and nimble, they gradually found it difficult to withstand Su Yan's overwhelming and intensive attacks.

Before long, more and more soul searchers were hit, and they fell from the sky like kites with broken strings, hitting the ground hard and raising a cloud of dust.

"Is it finally over?" Su Yan breathed a sigh of relief as he gazed at the devastated scene. He then began to survey his surroundings cautiously. After a careful observation, he found no trace of other soul-searchers. Just when he thought the battle was over, Nali suddenly shook her head and pointed in a direction...

Su Yan slowly raised his head and gazed forward, soon catching sight of an immensely large monster. The monster was clad in a thick, hard armor, resembling a fully armed warrior, yet its form resembled an upright Soul Devourer. However, this monster was much more massive and sturdy, like a moving hillock.

"This is the Scorch Beast!" Nali, standing nearby, shouted its name without hesitation the moment she saw the monster. Su Yan narrowed his eyes slightly, carefully examining the behemoth before him. He knew full well that such a massive and powerful creature must possess terrifying power.

At that moment, the scorched beast suddenly opened its bloody maw and let out a deep, deafening roar, then pounced straight at them like a cannonball. Facing this sudden attack, Su Yan remained remarkably calm, narrowing his eyes slightly without betraying any fear.

With a resounding "boom," the mountain-like mass of the scorched beast slammed fiercely into Su Yan. Dust flew up, and the surrounding ground trembled slightly from the violent collision. Surprisingly, Su Yan withstood the impact with remarkable force, quickly stabilizing himself after being knocked back a step. The scorched beast also took a step backward.

On the surface, the two seemed evenly matched in strength, but in reality, only Su Yan knew that he hadn't used his full strength just now. If he really wanted to engage in a pure hand-to-hand fight, he was absolutely confident that he could defeat the ferocious scorched beast before him.

"Be careful, these are herd animals!" Nali, who was watching the battle from the side, hurriedly warned. Hearing this, Su Yan narrowed his eyes again, thinking to himself: This means that there may be more than one such massive scorch beast...

"Ouch!" A deafening, deep roar rolled in from the front. Su Yan subconsciously narrowed his eyes, his sharp, hawk-like gaze fixed on the front. He saw a massive beast, its body covered in charred marks, swooping down on them with the force of a thunderbolt.
