Chapter 298 The Opportunity to Become a God

Su Yan cautiously approached and examined it carefully. He discovered that in the center of the altar, there was a platform slightly elevated from the ground. While its surface was smooth, the strange patterns carved into it were intricate and winding, as if they held some profound mystery. These patterns intertwined to form a bizarre pattern, its secrets elusive.

Su Yan stared at these lines, thinking to himself: "This place is so strange, and these lines are even more unusual. I believe they must have special uses and meanings. I just don't know where they lead to..." Thinking of this, Su Yan frowned slightly, and a hint of doubt and worry appeared in his eyes.

Azshara walked slowly over, her slender white hand gently placed on the mysterious platform, and whispered: "We rely on this platform to communicate with N'Zoth!" As soon as the words fell, Su Yan keenly noticed that the entire platform began to tremble and shake violently, as if a powerful and invisible force was surging out from the depths.

Not long after, a blurry image gradually emerged not far ahead. Su Yan quickly raised his head and looked intently at the image. He saw that it was an enormous octopus, its tentacles waving like a mad demon! Its body was so huge that it almost took up the entire field of vision, which was terrifying.

Su Yan stared up at the phantom of N'Zoth, a figure made of illusory light and shadow. His eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of vigilance and determination in his gaze. He knew he had to quickly find any traces of N'Zoth left in this area and eradicate them completely. Only then could he completely sever N'Zoth's control over this area.

N'Zoth, now in the void, also noticed Su Yan below. He spoke with a tone filled with mockery and disdain, "Oh? Azshara, why would you bring such a petty goblin as a sacrifice to me? Are you deliberately trying to harm me?" Clearly, a strong sense of dissatisfaction surged from N'Zoth's words.

Before Azshara could even begin to speak, Su Yan swung his arm, his sword emitting a sharp ray of light as it slashed directly at the seemingly formidable N'Zoth before him. Instantly, a gentle "puff" sound echoed, and N'Zoth's massive form dissipated like smoke, vanishing in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, Su Yan snorted coldly, "Hmph, a mere shadowy figure dares to act so arrogantly here!" He turned his head sharply, his gaze piercing, and swung his sword again. This time, the tip of the sword pointed at the mysterious and eerie altar. Su Yan knew that since N'Zoth had emerged from this place, he must have some inextricable connection to this altar.

Azshara, standing by, clearly hadn't anticipated Su Yan's decisiveness. He didn't even give her time to think or react. While she was still stunned, the altar crumbled beneath Su Yan's sword, turning into a pile of rubble. However, Azshara keenly sensed that with the altar's destruction, the powerful aura surrounding it was fading at an alarming rate.

She couldn't help but secretly exclaim in her heart: "He is worthy of being the Lord Goblin. His every move is so powerful and unstoppable! With just two simple swords, he easily broke N'Zoth's control over this place." Thinking of this, Azshara looked at Su Yan with eyes full of admiration and respect.

At this time, Su Yan showed a faint smile on his face. He turned to look at Azshara and said softly: "Okay, the matter here is over, let's go back!" Then he added: "In my opinion, N'Zoth's control ability is now quite weak and there is nothing to be afraid of." After speaking, Su Yan's mouth corners rose slightly, then he turned around and prepared to leave.

Upon hearing this, Azshara nodded slightly in agreement, but then her expression suddenly changed, and she exclaimed, "Not good!" It turned out that at this moment, Su Yan had also noticed something unusual—a large, dense swarm of octopuses suddenly appeared on the sea surface in the distance. These octopuses were a terrifying yellow-brown color, and they were approaching them quickly, their claws and fangs bared. From a distance, they looked like a surging yellow wave, a terrifying scene.

"It's actually a Gumind! And a descendant of N'Zoth!" someone cried out in horror. Everyone's faces changed, and they secretly groaned inwardly. Guminds are extremely terrifying beings, possessing incredibly powerful bewitching methods. They can easily manipulate others' minds and even completely control their opponents physically.

Su Yan stood in the crowd, his face sullen. He gripped the Ten Directions Sword tightly, a chilling murderous aura emanating from his body. Clearly, he was fully prepared for the fierce battle to come. At this moment, he had only one thought in mind: since these guys had come to me, no matter how many came, I would take them all in and slay them all! While N'Zoth himself couldn't be attacked for the time being, using his offspring as a training ground was a good option.

Azshara, standing by, was also on high alert. Her delicate face was now frosted, and she gripped her weapon tightly, waiting for the right moment to strike. However, just as she was getting ready, the Ten Directions Sword in Su Yan's hand flew out like lightning.

In an instant, piercing sword energies whizzed through the water, unhindered by the current. These sword energies intertwined and crisscrossed like a dense, vast net, sweeping forward in an overwhelming manner. The sheer might of the force was jaw-dropping, as if even the surrounding waters were stunned by this terrifying power, becoming silent and still.
