Aether's attacks came like a torrential downpour, but once again vanished without a trace, like a stone sinking into the sea. This left him feeling frustrated and angry. However, Su Yan, standing across from him, had a faint sneer on his face, as if mocking Aether's incompetence.
"Is this the extent of your attack? It's really laughable!" Su Yan said contemptuously, and the disdain in his words was evident.
Hearing these words, Aether gnashed his teeth in anger, his expression instantly becoming ferocious and terrifying. He had never imagined that the attack he was so proud of would be so easily neutralized, and his opponent had acted so effortlessly.
At that moment, Su Yan before him seemed to have transformed into an unbreakable, rock-hard wall of steel, standing firm. No matter how hard he tried to launch a fierce attack, the seemingly impenetrable defense remained unshaken and unbroken.
Even the sharp feather that he held tightly in his hand, when it pierced Su Yan's body with thunderous force, was bounced back as if it had hit an invisible and intangible mysterious barrier.
"How despicable! Who are you? Where did you come from?" Etel's eyes widened, nearly popping out of their sockets. He roared at Su Yan with a face full of rage, "Why are you forcing me so hard?"
However, facing Aether's exasperated questioning, Su Yan merely raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a cold smile. He then responded calmly and leisurely, "Didn't I make it clear to you before? I'm a goblin. But now I'm completely different because I've been successfully deified!"
When he said this, Su Yan suddenly raised his voice, and the originally low and steady tone suddenly rose by eight scales.
His words were filled with boundless majesty and chilling murderous intent, and every word struck like a heavy hammer on people's hearts.
You hypocrites who keep talking about morality all day long! Today is the day you will face your final judgment and destruction! Hahahahaha..."
After a burst of wild laughter, a powerful and terrifying aura emanated from Su Yan, as if the entire world was shaking.
"Hmph! Just a mere goblin like you? That's pure wishful thinking!" Aether roared, his voice weak and timid. Though he tried his best to appear calm and composed, his slightly trembling voice betrayed him. At that moment, his heart was filled with panic and anxiety, like a small boat in a storm, ready to be swallowed by the surging waves at any moment.
Though Aether remained tough on the surface, his mouth glued shut, he refused to give in. Deep within his heart, a deep fear spread like a plague. Facing this mysterious and suffocatingly powerful enemy, he truly experienced for the first time what it meant to feel powerless.
"Haha, whether I'm wishful thinking or not, you'll probably find out soon." Su Yan's lips curled up slightly, a dismissive sneer playing across his face. At the same time, he casually swung his right hand, and in an instant, a sharp, lightning-like sword energy shot out.
Aether's eyes widened in horror, his once handsome face now contorted with utter terror. He stared intently at the sword energy hurtling toward him at astonishing speed, his body trembling violently. He could clearly sense the terrifying power contained within it. That force was like the demonic roar from the depths of hell, threatening to rip the entire world apart.
Driven by instinct for survival, Aether twisted his body with all his might, attempting to dodge the fatal blow. His movements were clumsy and panic-stricken, completely devoid of his previous arrogance. Time seemed to freeze at this moment, each second passing with an unusually slow pace, while the sword energy followed him like a shadow, carrying the breath of death with every step...
But the speed of the sword energy was beyond imagination. It flashed through the air like lightning and hit one of his wings accurately in the blink of an eye.
There was a crisp sound of "crack", and Aether's wing broke.
At that moment, it felt as if thousands of steel needles were piercing his body simultaneously, and a heart-wrenching pain surged through his body like a tidal wave. The pain was so intense that he could no longer suppress the fear and pain deep within him, and he couldn't help but let out a shrill, piercing scream that resounded through the sky and sent blood-curdling waves through his body.
Having suddenly lost the support of one wing, Aether's entire body instantly lost its balance. Like a bird with a broken wing, he completely lost control of his direction and speed, plummeting straight down towards the hard, cold ground below.
"Damn it! I absolutely cannot fall down so easily!" Watching himself getting closer and closer to the ground, Ether's once handsome face had now turned bloodless and pale as paper due to extreme fear; beads of sweat the size of beans continued to flow from his forehead, rolling down his cheeks like pearls with broken strings, soaking his clothes in the blink of an eye.
"If I really fall to the ground like this, the consequences will be unimaginable!" Faced with this imminent crisis, Aether's heart was filled with despair and helplessness. However, his instinct for survival drove him to desperately flap his only remaining wing, hoping to regain the stability needed for flight. But no matter how hard he struggled, all his attempts were ultimately in vain.
