Chapter 44: The Thousand-Gold Swordsman

Gray trembled and turned his head quickly to look.

He saw a girl with twin ponytails walking in from outside.

"Norah, you came really quickly! I just sent the message during the day, and you arrived in the evening."

Claire asked the bartender to bring another drink and pushed it forward.

Nora wore a silver armor, black boots, and a long sword at her waist.

She sat down at the bar, picked up her glass and took a sip. "There aren't many times when you can issue an emergency notice! I happened to be doing something nearby! I came straight here as soon as I finished it."

Gray stared at Nora from the side, unable to calm down for a long time.

Nora!

The Walker family's most talented young swordsman!

Became an Emerald Warrior at the age of 20

He is known as the most talented young person in the Walker family.

The family also has high hopes for her, hoping that she will lead the family to a new glory!

Now at the age of 21, he is only one step away from becoming a Bronze Warrior.

Once she breaks through, she will be the youngest bronze brave swordsman in the Water City!

All I can say is that the future is limitless.

"Why are you staring at me?" Nora felt Gray's gaze and her face darkened.

"Excuse me! I'm so excited to see you here."

Gray came to his senses and quickly apologized.

"Nora, be polite! He is the big sponsor of my mission." Claire joked with a smile.

"Oh?" Nora rolled her eyes at Gray. "If you stare at me for so long next time, I'll dig your eyes out!"

Gray nodded quickly, "Don't worry, I definitely won't do that again."

Claire shook her head slightly and lowered her head to take a sip of wine.

"What about Kaia? Isn't this guy always the most proactive?"

Nora asked, swirling her glass nonchalantly.

"It will probably arrive tomorrow morning if it's last night." Claire nodded.

"Kaeya! Is this the Kaeya you're talking about, the Mori Ranger? Known as the fastest man in the Water City!"

Gray grabbed Claire's arm and asked excitedly.

"Why are you so excited?" Nora frowned.

"I'm sorry, I only heard rumors about it on weekdays, and I didn't expect to see the real person, so I was a little excited."

Gray scratched his head apologetically.

Kaia has been an orphan since childhood, but he has an extremely high talent for speed.

This led to him becoming the Ruby Hero at the age of twenty-three.

Moreover, relying on his extraordinary speed, he once killed a bronze warrior!

Gray is absolutely confident that Claire can destroy the goblins this time.

Two of my teammates are already so strong.

The remaining teammates who don’t know yet will definitely not be too bad!

Before, I only knew that Claire was a big shot in the Adventurer's Guild.

I didn't expect that his teammates were all such people.

If I had known earlier, I should have asked Claire to help me sooner, and it wouldn't have dragged on until now.

"Saint! I'm so sorry!"

Gray was so excited that he shed two lines of tears. He beat his chest and stamped his feet, feeling very regretful.

"Has he always been so crazy?" Nora glanced at Gray with an expression of disgust.

"Maybe." Claire ignored him and drank the wine in the glass.

Nora asked the bartender for another drink, then looked at Claire and asked, "So who is the target this time? What made you call us back together? I remember you said before that being invincible was too lonely, and that you wanted to pursue a different path."

Claire didn't answer immediately. She just looked down at the wine glass in her hand and chuckled.

"Oh! There are so many uncertainties in life! Just like this time."

"So, what exactly is the goal?!"

Nora stared into Claire's eyes and asked. She was sure that the guy who made Claire pay so much attention to him must be no simple person.

"Goblin." Claire slowly uttered three words.

Noila Mo was stunned at first, then crushed the wine glass in her hand.

She drew the sword from her waist and placed it on Claire's neck, "Are you kidding me?"

Claire looked at Nora calmly.

Nora gritted her teeth and put away the sword. She could see that Claire was not lying.

She turned around angrily, "I've had enough! I risked my life to get here, and you tell me I have to deal with a goblin! This is a huge insult to me! Please don't tell anyone that we used to be teammates!"

"Claire!"

When Gray saw Nora was about to leave, he looked at Claire anxiously.

"What if I say he's a demon?" Claire asked.

Nora's steps towards the door suddenly stopped.

She turned to look at Claire. "The legendary goblin demon who is above all gods?"

"That's right." Claire nodded.

He knew that for a genius, the most important thing was his own record.

If there is a chance to kill a recognized powerful boss, no one will miss it.

Nora returned to her seat at the bar and once again looked into Claire's eyes.

She wanted to make sure whether the other party was lying or not.

The Goblin Demon is a legendary existence.

"But the Goblin Demon has been dead for so long!" Nora stared at Claire. "And how can you be sure that this Valley Forest is the Goblin Demon?"

"I'm sure! So we must completely eliminate him before he grows up!" Claire's tone became serious.

Nora hadn't heard Claire's tone in a long time, so she didn't ask any more questions. "Okay, I believe you!"

Claire grinned and drank the wine she had just filled.
