Arrest Roman

Arrest Roman

Gavin suddenly realized that everything he was doing was part of Solaya's plan, but the fact that the divine beings were walking on land was an unforgivable matter. After calming down, he began to think about how to break the current situation.

Gavin and his men were clueless about how to find the dwarves. After weighing the options, Gavin had to admit that perhaps agreeing to Sorea's request might be the fastest way to find the dwarves.

“Tell me your method. I want to see what good ideas you have.” Gavin stood in front of Sorea, looking down at her.

Sorea stared at Gavin, who felt a tremendous force on his legs, and then he fell uncontrollably to the ground.

"What did you do?" Gavin, covered in dust, got up and spoke, barely suppressing his anger.

Soria glanced to the side, then looked at the disheveled Gavin and said, "Go and prepare what you need to pray to the God of Forging."

"What is it?" Gavin was baffled and didn't understand why Sorea wanted those things. It couldn't be that she wanted the God of Forging to tell them where His kin were.

"Do I need to tell you about red clay, strong liquor, and things used for prayer from metal powder?"

Time was of the essence, and with no other options, Gavin had no choice but to ask someone to find the materials.

After Gavin left, Sorea looked at a patch of green outside the cell window, her smile fading as she coldly called out, "Come out, stop pretending."

There was no sound outside, only the gentle breeze rustling the branches.

"What is that? What's wrong?" Lilith became alert, turning her head to the window following Sorea's gaze. "Didn't you just beat Calvin down?"

Sorea, still staring at the branches outside the window, finally managed to ask Lilith, "You saw the branches come in, didn't you?"

Lilith nodded in agreement. Realizing that it wasn't Sorea who had attacked just now, her muscles tensed, ready to strike at any moment.

Under Sorea's indifferent gaze, a branch slowly stretched in from outside the window, giving off an inexplicable feeling of grievance.

"Why aren't you staying up there? What are you doing following me?" Sorea was mindful of Lilith's presence and didn't want to directly point out that the tree branch contained Veldrian's consciousness.

Hearing Solaya's question, Verridern pretended not to hear it, and the branch trembled as it swayed and moved closer to Solaya.

"Watch out!"

Seeing the tree branch approaching Solaya, Lilith immediately drew her sword from an inscribed scroll and slashed at it. To her surprise, her usually indestructible sword had no effect on the branch. Lilith was shocked and quickly stepped forward to shield Solaya.

Sorea felt a surge of warmth when she saw Lilith's panicked state yet her immediate protection of her. She patted Lilith reassuringly, stepped out from behind her, and used her hand to stop the approaching branches, saying softly, "Go back."

"I will protect you." Verridern's words echoed directly in Sorea's mind, carried by the tree branch.

Solaya withdrew her hand expressionlessly, wiping her fingers with a handkerchief as she spoke, "Stay away from me, just keep an eye on Tarasi."

After Soraya finished speaking, the tree branch left dejectedly and returned to its original position, as if nothing had happened. Soraya went forward and closed the window.

Lilith had never seen Solaya so cold. In her eyes, Solaya had always been a gentle and smiling beauty. Seeing Solaya like this, she wanted to say something, but in the end, she kept her mouth shut.

"You two have fallen out?"

Gavin's voice rang out as he leaned against the door, drawing the attention of Solalia and Lilith.

Seeing that the two had come to their senses, Gavin didn't care why Lilith's knife hadn't been found before they entered the interrogation room; after all, it was best to be friendly to an ally.

"Give me the things." A smile reappeared on Sorea's face, but there was no smile in her eyes.

The totem for the prayer hall was drawn with a special potion. Under the shocked gazes of Lilith and Gavin, Solaya bit her finger and dripped a drop of blood into the potion.

"What are you doing?" Lilith strode forward, quickly took out gauze to bandage Sorea, while tree branches outside the window rattled against the glass.

Only then did a smile appear in Sorea's eyes. She stopped Lilith's actions and showed her her healed finger.

Then Sorea looked at Gavin and said, "If my senses are not mistaken, you are a fire-type inscription mage."

Gavin looked surprised. Before he could speak, Sorea instructed him to melt the prayer materials and drip them into the potion.

To pray to the gods, one should first use a magic potion to draw the inscription totem needed for the prayer, and then place the necessary offerings on the totem.

Gavin had never heard of Solaya's commands before, but having worked in the Knights for a long time, he knew there were many things he didn't know about this continent, so he followed Solaya's instructions.

After Gavin placed the finished product in front of Solaya, Solaya took the knife from Lilith's hand and poured the fused potion onto it.

"Is this the method you were talking about?"

Before Gavin could finish speaking, a yellow light shone on Lilith's knife, and the blade began to tremble.

Sorea reacted first, grabbing the knife the instant it left the ground, the knife struggling even more violently in her hand.

"What are you all standing there for? Take your men and chase after this knife." After saying that, Sorea released her hand, and the knife immediately smashed through the window and flew into the distance.

Gavin shouted loudly to his teammates as he jumped out of the window.

"My sword." Lilith looked at the sword that was walking away from her and subconsciously prepared to jump out of the window to follow it, but was stopped by Sorea.

"No need to chase after it, I know where this knife is."

Lilith turned around and looked at Solaya in shock. Solaya pulled Lilith along as they walked out of the Knights' Guild.

Most of the Knights chased after the sword and left, and those who remained did not try to stop Sorea and her companion.

After leaving the Knights' Guild, Solaya explained to Lilith, "My blood was added to that potion, and I can sense the direction of the blood."

As Gavin and his knights, panting and disheveled, followed the sword to a sewer, Soleria and Lilith strolled over at a leisurely pace.

Gavin saw the unperturbed Sorea's eyes widen. "Are you kidding us!"

“Sir, do you think this is the time to talk about this?” Soria tilted her head back and pointed with her chin at the stopped knife. “The dwarf you’re looking for is down there.”

Gavin lifted the sewer cover, and a putrid, stench wafted out. For others who frequently went out on fieldwork, this was just a common occurrence, but Sorea found it utterly unbearable.

The moment the smell wafted up, I retreated to the lawn next to me and couldn't help but bend over and gag.

Upon seeing the eagerly awaiting sword, Lilith immediately clutched it to her chest, while Gavin busied himself assigning tasks to his men.

Unnoticed by anyone, small blue flowers bloomed at Solaya's feet, their fragrance dispelling her discomfort.

Soleria knew that Veldrian was still watching her through the vegetation. She was silent for a moment, then tore off a corner of her skirt, covered her mouth and nose with a piece of cotton cloth, and returned to Lilith's side.

Gavin sent his vice-captain, a valiant female knight, to lead the charge. "Annie's strength is on par with mine. That dwarf is familiar with my moves. Annie, go down first and catch him off guard."

After everyone except Gavin had gone downstairs, Gavin looked at Sorea and asked, "Aren't you going down?"

Hearing the noise, Lilith grabbed the handrail and poked her head out of the sewer opening to look at Sorea.

"Little beauty, are you afraid of getting dirty!" Lilith whistled excitedly when she saw Sorea, who was standing still and covering her mouth and nose.

Under the gazes of the two men, Sorea rolled her eyes and forced herself to climb down into the sewer. She felt that if she didn't go down, the few people next to her wouldn't be able to catch the dwarf Rowan.

Even though Soraya kept telling herself that she knew how filthy the sewers were, she still couldn't help but gag when she actually stepped into the soft, foul-smelling mud.

Lilith patted Solaya on the back; she hadn't expected Solaya to react so strongly.

Gavin, fearing the commotion would alert the dwarves, gestured for Solaya to be quiet.

Sorea nodded, and after getting used to the situation below, she endured the constant dripping water and calmly followed the group forward.

"Boss, stop that dwarf!" Annie's anxious voice rang out from the front of the group.

The dwarf was so fast that Annie couldn't react in time. After hearing Annie's warning, a level nine inscription mage in front of Gavin used his level inscription totem to ignite a raging fire and block the narrow passage.

"Damn it!" Rowan's face turned ugly.

The flames caused the temperature in the sewers to rise continuously, forcing the rats and insects living in the sewers to come out.

Amidst the screams of rats and insects, Rowan easily leaped out of the level nine flames and ran towards Lilith.

He ran while laughing triumphantly, "Did you think that a tiny flame could stop me, the chosen one of the great God of Forging?"

When Lilith saw the dwarf charging towards her, she used her knife to send Rowan flying, sending him crashing into the wall beside her.

"What have you done to me!" Rowan cried out in agony as he realized he couldn't move his body at all.

Only then did Gavin notice a ring of blue inscribed totems lighting up around Soraya.

"Now you can catch him, right?" Soria put away the totem and looked at Gavin. "You were so quick when you caught me and Lilith, but how come you're so lousy when it comes to actually making a move?"

Gavin and the others blushed with embarrassment after hearing Sorea's words and were unable to refute her.

"Hahahaha, your Knights have actually cooperated with the Chosen Ones of the Evil God! The Knights have fallen!" Rowan laughed as he looked at Lilith and Solaya chatting with Gavin.

"Tell me, who is the chosen one of the evil gods!" Annie held the sword to Rowan's neck, but her eyes were fixed on Solaya and Lilith.

Compared to the dwarves, Anne hated the evil god's chosen ones who frequently committed large-scale bloodshed even more, and at this time, only Soria and the other person were unknown outsiders.
