Bounty Hunters Association
Today, Sorea didn't rush. Instead, she climbed up a high cliff, sometimes looking at her completely powerless right hand, and sometimes gazing at the distant blue ocean.
What should I do after arriving in the Monster Forest? Solaya had no idea what her life would be like after that. The main reason she left the Emerald Sea was that she could focus on finding her mother without the burden of her child. Now that her mother had appeared, she had lost her purpose.
Solaya felt she could no longer live in secrecy and lies as before, so she stood up and took off the small glass bottle hanging around her neck.
Then she threw the glass bottle off the cliff. The bottle contained seawater imbued with the power of Talma, and with this bottle, Soraya could use the power of Talma indefinitely.
After giving birth to Tarasi, Sorea's power had greatly diminished, and coupled with her constant encounters with evil gods and injuries during this period, her power had not yet recovered.
Since she didn't know what to do now, she decided to focus on increasing her strength. Solaya silently stared at the glass bottle below the cliff.
In a sense, the decline in Sorea's power is actually a good thing.
Her power was almost entirely built up to her demigod level by her parents' divine power. Now she has decided not to rely on any other power and to forge her own path.
What they refuse to tell me, I will know for myself one day.
Sorea took out a dagger and cut her ankle-length silver hair short, then drank the potion to change her hair color to black, and changed out of her skirt and into comfortable trousers.
Finally, Sorea blew the bronze whistle that Verdrian had given her.
I never imagined that the only one who could help me now would be Him. Sorea smiled bitterly as she thought to herself, she had thought her parents were her safe haven, but now she could only trust Veldrian.
When Veldrian's avatar appeared, he saw Solya with her hair already uneven and frizzy. He looked at Solya, who seemed to be lost in thought, and helped her trim her hair neatly.
Sorea then noticed Veldrian behind her, and then a Tarasi was stuffed into her arms.
When Tarasi saw that Solaya seemed to recognize her mother, she started to giggle. Solaya looked at the child in her arms and her heart melted. She knew she had wronged the child, but the child was important and her own life was important too. Solaya had been living in a daze for hundreds of years, and now she only wanted to live for herself.
"Velderien, I have a question for you. Why did you get involved in sending my brother to another world back then, and why have you never mentioned it to me after we met?"
Veldrian was completely stunned by Solaya's question: "Your brother went to another world? I didn't even know how I got involved?"
Looking at Veldrian's expression, he did seem unaware of the situation, but Solaya was certain she wasn't mistaken.
Veldrian thought for a moment and then said, "Oh right, once Chrona asked me for a wisp of life force."
Sorea felt this was the most likely scenario, but asking Veldrian for help was one thing, reconciling with Him was truly impossible.
"I have something to hide from others. Please use your divine power to conceal my whereabouts."
Veldrian agreed on the spot, and Solaya, seeing that the matter was settled, said in a cold voice, "You can leave now."
"I thought you contacted me first because you had forgiven me."
Solaya snorted coldly after hearing Veldrian's words: "I would never forgive you so easily! I'll come back to you if I need anything."
After saying that, Soraya gave Tarasi to Veldrian and left the cliff.
Veldrian shook his head helplessly at Sorea, who was walking away without turning her head, and laughed as he shouted, "She's treating me like a tool, using me and then throwing me away."
Sorea pretended not to hear; it didn't align with her philosophy not to use what she could.
When Soraya returned to the camp, she was completely different. Once hailed as the most beautiful star in the night, she was now an ordinary person who would not be recognized in a crowd.
"My creator god, Princess Soraya, what have you done to your face?" The greedy blood-eyed creature's body suddenly grew larger the moment it saw Soraya.
Sorea is in a good mood now. She has figured out what she has been keeping in her heart, and she feels that the sky is bluer now.
“My brother’s classmate told me that if he really wanted to hide his identity, he had to become an ordinary person. I’m going to experience the world as an ordinary person. You should go back to the other world too.”
Now it was Greedy Blood Eyes' turn to fall silent: "I've offended so many people this time I came out, I can't go back."
Although the greedy blood-red eyes exposed the world and her family that she knew, Sorea still disliked this guy: "Don't follow me around. I'm still an ordinary person at heart. Seeing you reminds me of all the innocent residents who died because of your pollution."
“I had no choice. That guy, I think, named Johnson, prayed to me, hoping I could help him get money. My power was passively transferred to him. You know, the evil gods in the underworld have no right to choose.”
Although Soraya now knows that even the words of the righteous gods cannot be trusted, she can still sense the malice of the evil gods.
Since the greedy Blood Eye didn't want to go back, Sorea decided to grant his wish, continuing to bind him and stuffing him into the storage scroll.
"Black, let's go!" Sorea called out loudly to the dragon that was hunting in the distance.
Hearing its master's voice, Blake's massive body leaped swiftly from the canyon, a half-eaten animal still in its mouth. Blake tossed the carcass beside Soraya and nudged her with its head, urging her to eat.
Sorea nearly fell over from being nudged by Blake's massive head. Seeing the animal, whose original form was no longer recognizable, she patted Blake's head, letting it eat on its own. Then, she took a fruit that Blake had accidentally knocked off while hunting from the thorns on its body, wiped it on her sleeve, and put it in her mouth.
Blake couldn't understand why his master ate only unpalatable fruit and not meat. After seeing Soraya eating with relish, he also swallowed half an animal carcass in one gulp.
"Ha ha ha ha."
Seeing Blake eating, Sorea smiled happily.
"Blake, can you shrink down, like when you first hatched?" As they approached inhabited areas, Sorea asked Blake to find a secluded spot to put her down.
After hearing his master's words, Blake tilted his head and slowly shrank his body until he was the size of a palm.
The shrunken Blake was carried on Solaya's shoulder as she headed toward the bounty hunters' encampment.
Olsen, the son of the strongest follower of the God of Fate, grew up with Soraya. It's unclear why he worshipped the God of Fate, but he didn't receive any blessings from him, thus preserving his life after the God of Fate vanished.
Now, Orson is working hard to gather the surviving believers from the Church of Destiny and is secretly forming a new Church of Destiny.
Sorea once thought that Olsen's survival was a fluke. But now she understands that there was no such thing as extreme luck; Olsen was simply a representative whom Krona had deliberately left behind on the continent of Singri to gather faith for Him.
The reason Sorea came here is that she believes Olsen must know some secrets that she doesn't.
Similarly, Sorea knew that Olsen would never tell Chrona's heir about these things. Therefore, she planned to meet Olsen under a new identity.
...
The former Church of Destiny, now the largest bounty hunter association on the continent of Singri, has welcomed an ordinary demigod-level woman.
This seemingly aloof woman is none other than Sorea, who has created for herself the identity of Jane, a water-based inscription mage with healing abilities.
"Your Excellency, I have submitted your membership application to my supervisor. Please wait here for a moment." The beautiful receptionist bowed respectfully to Sorea.
Sorea nodded, taking in the bounty hunters' headquarters as she waited.
Rugged, strong bounty hunters filled every corner of the guild, with the most crowded area being the quest wall, just like the one Sorea had visited before.
After observing the place for a while, Sorea was certain she had come to the right place. Fairness was evident here to some extent; status and position didn't matter, only power mattered. Whether you were a nobleman or a commoner, a man or a woman, power reigned supreme.
"Please follow me, Mr. Jian." The receptionist who had just left returned with her superior's reply.
Sorea nodded and followed in her footsteps.
I wonder who I'll meet later? Will it be someone I know? It seems like almost all the higher-ups here believe in the god of fate. I hope I won't meet Olsen on my first day! If I do, will he recognize me?
Sorea was lost in thought on the way. To be precise, this was the first time she had faced something alone. She had agreed to be alone, but ended up picking up Lilith on the way.
Thinking about this, Solaya wondered what Lilith and the others were doing.
…………
Lilith and the others were indeed in a bind. After the open day of the Singri Inscription Academy, Louis, Euan, Vivian and Edward were also on vacation. The group originally planned to go to the Sea of Death to find Soria to take on the Knights' Guild's mission and then go out for a walk.
When they arrived at the Knights' Guild to accept the mission, they discovered that their team members had changed. Sorea, who was originally in their team, had been replaced by Monica, who had to switch teams because her teammates were injured and could no longer work for the Knights' Guild.
Although the group warmly welcomed Monica's arrival, Euan sensed something was amiss and immediately sent a message to Solaya. This last message eventually reached Dagmore.
After seeing the letter, Dagmore took it to the Kingdom of Talmawen to deliver to Soraya, only to find that Soraya was not there. Soraya's disappearance was finally discovered.
Dagmore and Kelly immediately investigated and discovered that Monica's identity transfer had been arranged before the Soraya Death Sea.
Dagmore's face was extremely grim. He sent Arlene and Al, who had just returned to accompany Soraya, out to search for Soraya, but they still found nothing.
Meanwhile, Sorea met Olsen on the very first day.
