Kraken, the evil god

Kraken, the evil god

Despite the group of pirates who had surrounded her, Sorea smiled as before.

Golden runes representing demigod status climbed onto Al's face, and a ring of lightning surrounded him and Soraya.

"A demigod, and one with lightning attributes at that? Interesting." Upon seeing the scene before her, Lilith stood up from her seat.

Although her face still held the same disdainful expression as before, a closer look revealed a hint of seriousness in her eyes.

Seeing the demigod Lillian's face darken, but after glancing around and seeing that the entire Hero was filled with her own people, she regained her arrogance:

"I will not make things difficult for you because of this demigod, but you must pay the price for injuring my maid."

Although Captain John and the rest of the crew could not speak, they all stared at Lillian.

Although Lillian would have been safe in the sea, no one dared to save her; it was Arlene who risked her life to pull her onto the boat.

"You are truly shameless."

"Shameless pirates."

Two voices rang out simultaneously, one from Lilith and the other from Jack the Octopus on Sorea's shoulder.

After speaking, Lilith and Jack instinctively exchanged glances.

Lilith thought to herself: Oh no, this is a Karal octopus.

Hearing Lilith's words, Lillian retorted, "You're my sister, yet you favor outsiders. No wonder Father doesn't like you."

Even though Lilith and Lillian hardly contact each other, the closer the sisters are, the more they know what the other cares about.

Lilith left, glaring at Lillian with an extremely gloomy expression.

The pirates, who didn't want to get involved in their boss's affairs, decided to take down Arlene first, so that the vengeful Lillian wouldn't cause them trouble later.

A flash of red light, and the temperature on the entire deck instantly soared. A wall of fire was erected between the pirates and passengers; the flames were extremely hot, but the wood on the deck remained completely undamaged.

Arlene, her face covered in golden inscriptions, emerged from the flames, holding a flame in her hand.

“Another demigod.” Lilith stood up, and the knife that had been hanging at her waist had somehow appeared in her hand.

Arlene channeled the flames in her hand into her sword and strode towards Lilith. Lilith hadn't adorned her blade with any inscriptions or totems; she simply used her own strength, with a sword forged by the god of blacksmithing, to force Arlene back half a meter.

As Arlene was forced back, she adjusted her direction and reached Soraya's side. She felt a piercing pain in her hand, and when she looked up, she saw that her hand was covered in blood.

Lilith shook her arm that was holding the knife, then shook her head, and the golden inscription totem also appeared on her face.

"When did you become a demigod?" Lillian exclaimed incredulously upon seeing the golden inscription on Lilith's face. "I don't believe it. Grandpa must have given you the secret medicine."

Lilith looked at Lillian, who was staring at her like a fool, and ignored her. She looked up at Soria and said, "Little beauty, you maid are no match for me. I think you're quite pleasing to the eye. Why don't you come with me?"

"Arlene, Jack, take good care of the young lady." When Al saw the injured Arlene and heard Lilith's flirtatious words to Soria, he swung his greatsword at Lilith.

Arlene's strengths lie in ranged attacks and speed, while Al's strength lies in close combat. This time, Lilith did not gain the upper hand against Al. Just like Arlene before, she was knocked back half a meter by Al, and blood spilled from the part of her hand holding the knife. However, Al showed no discomfort whatsoever.

Upon seeing Lilith's defeat, the pirates who had been standing on either side of the chair revealed golden inscriptions unique to demigods on their faces.

Although Lillian was nervous facing two demigods, the fact that Lilith had been defeated and that she still had two demigods left made her burst into laughter:

"Take that woman and her servants away."

Soleria looked at Lillian and the two pirate demigods who were close to them, and said calmly, "They are not my servants, they are my sworn knights."

Lillian hadn't reacted yet, but Lilith and the two demigods suddenly seemed to understand something and stopped approaching.

Ignoring Lillian's continued foolish shouting, Lilith looked at Arlene and Al and spoke no longer calmly, "Knight, Fire and Thunder, you are from the Beaumont and Monteford families."

Al and Arlene exchanged a glance. Although they both disliked pirates and Lillian, they sensed confidence and courage from Lilith, not evil. After Soraya nodded in acknowledgment, they introduced themselves at the same time.

"Aldric Monteford".

"Serena Beaumont".

Lilith closed her eyes and said bitterly, "I never expected to meet two of the four great noble families of the Osenia Empire on this small merchant ship."

The pirates present were well aware that if they let Al and Arlene go, they would incur the furious retaliation of the Osenia Empire.

Upon hearing this, the pirate demigod Hyrol's pupils widened, and he immediately opened a scroll containing a summoning inscription totem.

He stopped moving as soon as he opened the scroll.

But his approach just now had brought him too close to Sorea and Arlene.

Soraya and Arlene stood before him, watching his every move. Soraya spoke in a gentle tone, but the pirate demigod felt as if he had entered an ice cave.

"You seem to know who I am."

Sorea approached him step by step.

"I don't know, I don't know, I really don't know." Cold sweat dripped down Hailu's back. He quickly retreated to Lilith's side, protecting her while shouting, "Boss, let's go!"

Lilith was puzzled by Herol's behavior when she saw Solaya walk toward them with a smile, lighting up her golden inscription totem mixed with a hint of blue as she went.

“Great sea god, you once promised your child that you would have authority over the sea,” Soraya prayed as she walked.

At this time, the divine decree made by the gods will take effect without the gods' response.

"I pray that your power will reach every ocean, I pray that the seas will freeze over."

As she moved, the turbulent black seawater gradually calmed down until there were no waves at all. A cold chill rose from the sea surface, freezing the fins of the blood sharks that were originally swimming in the ocean to the surface.

The passengers and crew members on the ship, surrounded by Arlene's flames, did not feel particularly cold, but most of the lightly dressed pirates who were not strong enough shivered. The pirates with fire runes quickly lit fires to keep warm.

“You are a divine child.” Lilith looked at Soria in front of her. “I don’t understand why you are dressed so plainly, without a single piece of jewelry? It’s not worthy of your status. I was thinking of taking you back and raising you in a wealthy and luxurious manner.”

Upon hearing this, Arlene and Al coughed awkwardly, and Jack sneered at them.

Sorea was surprised by Lilith's first reaction after learning her identity. Her lips twitched. "That's not important. I'll let you leave since you didn't intend to kill anyone."

"Leave. I want you to stay." A male voice came from the pirates in the distance.

"His Majesty the Great Kraken"

You are the master of the ocean depths.

You are the symbol of underwater wealth.

Your most faithful followers beseech your divine power.

I would offer you the blood of God's son.

As the prayer fell, the power left behind by the shattered divine kingdom of Kraken took effect, and the frozen sea cracked open with a fissure large enough for a large ship to pass through.

A pirate ship, glowing green and smelling musty, came from afar.

The fear on Lillian's face vanished, and she happily waved into the distance, "Father, come quickly and take them down!"

Streaks of black mist, resembling sea serpents, surged toward Sorea and her two companions.

“Father, what are you doing? How dare you go against Grandpa’s intention to negotiate peace with the Osenia Empire!” Lilith said as she dispersed the black mist moving toward Soraya. She knew that she could not allow the power of the Kraken to corrupt Soraya, otherwise the divine child would be corrupted and eventually fall.

“Foolish.” Lilith’s father cursed at Lilith as he increased the amount of power he channeled.

More and more black mist surged toward Soraya, but it did not attack her; instead, it coalesced into a human shape in front of her.

An evil, twisted, and chaotic aura swept across the deck of the Hero. All those below the level of demigod felt intense headaches and collapsed. Those above the level of demigod did not fall, but they used the power of the inscribed totems to protect themselves and resist the contamination.

Everyone knew that the humanoid creature in front of them was an incarnation of the evil god Kraken, and no one had time to wonder why Kraken, who was destroyed by the god of the sea ten thousand years ago, would appear here.

Others were corrupted by the appearance of the evil god, but Kraken's target was Soraya, who confronted Kraken's corruption head-on.

Just as the small amount of divine power left by the sea god on Soraya disappeared, and Kraken's power was about to cover her, the dark sky and sea were illuminated by a golden light, and Kraken's newly formed clone was split in two by the golden light.

Before Kraken completely dissipated, it stared intently at Soraya, saying, "You will ultimately belong to the darkness. It is fate's arrangement, hahahahaha." With that, it vanished into thin air.

“It was fate.” Sorea’s clothes were soaked with sweat, but she didn’t feel the fear of almost being contaminated. Instead, she repeated Kraken’s words.

Since her mother, the goddess of fate, disappeared, no one has spoken of the arrangements of fate anymore, since even the goddess of fate could not control her own destiny.

The golden light cleaved the already shattered divine kingdom of Kraken in two. Following the golden light, one could see giant ships, ten times the size of the Hero, sailing in through the cracks in the broken divine kingdom.

Only divine power can counter divine power. Soraya was extremely familiar with the power within the golden light. She also recognized the person standing at the highest point on the first giant ship, holding a sword and pointing it into the distance.

But the moment she met that person's gaze, Sorea instinctively shrank behind Al, avoiding his eyes.
