Red Thread of Fate

Red Thread of Fate

Ignoring Louis's shouts, Solaya repeated her urging to Lilith to hurry up, but both Lilith and Vivian, holding the dagger, dared not move. Solaya lunged forward, trying to snatch the dagger from Lilith's hand and remove the red thread from the blood vessel herself, but the pain in her body left her powerless, and Lilith easily dodged her.

"Lilith, don't hesitate, hurry up, Edward is still waiting for us," Sorea said urgently in a hoarse voice.

Just as Louis was about to try to persuade Sorea, a loud noise suddenly came from where Yuan was hiding.

Louis's expression changed abruptly. He climbed onto the mountain of goods piled up in the warehouse, trying to look out through the warehouse's only window.

With that loud bang, Solaya clearly felt her father Talmawen's power and presence. Solaya's already weak shoulders collapsed completely. She knew that something must have happened to Yuan.

Soon the commotion completely subsided. Solaya was extremely anxious and shouted, "Lilith, what are you waiting for? I told you to do it, hurry up!"

Louis was speechless. Lilith looked at Sorea's wound, which was still bleeding, and tried to strike with the dagger several times, but still couldn't bring herself to do it.

“I’ll do it, move aside.” Louis looked at Lilith, who was stubbornly refusing to do it, pushed her aside, took out his dagger, and had Vivian disinfect it. Then he aimed at the faint red lines emerging from Sorea’s wound.

He first randomly picked off a section of the red thread that had no end, then cut it in half with a dagger, and held it in his hand: "Sister, get ready, I'll start as soon as you say 'begin'."

Sorea was already drenched in sweat from the pain caused by Louis's actions, and she knew what she was about to experience.

“Lilith, give me a piece of bandage, then hold me down.” Sorea made Lilith fold the clean bandage, then put it in her mouth and bite it.

After doing all this, Sorea nodded to Louis, indicating that he could begin.

"Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!" As Louis pulled the thread, Sorea's painful cries, even with her mouth gagged, echoed throughout the silent warehouse. Fortunately, Lilith had previously placed sound-eliminating runes here, otherwise the workers inside the factory would have been alerted.

A red thread was drawn from Soraya's veins, and she bled more and faster than before, filling the warehouse with a strong smell of blood.

Lilith trembled, using all her strength to hold down Soraya, who was struggling instinctively.

Lilith watched as the red thread was slowly pulled out. Her expression was even more ferocious than Sorea's, who was suffering. Her eyes were bloodshot, and her clenched fists were also turning red.

Vivian covered her eyes in fear when Louis took out the red thread, but she was worried about Solalia, so she opened her fingers and looked at Solalia through the gaps between them.

In fact, the one suffering the most among them was Louis. He heard his beloved sister in extreme pain because of his actions, but he couldn't let his hands tremble. He could only carefully speed up. If he slowed down or was careless, the more pain Sorea would suffer.

Louis felt he had pulled out half of the red thread, and immediately cut it. The dagger in his hand fell instantly, and Louis staggered back two steps before his legs gave way and he knelt down. Then he helplessly called out to Sorea, "Sister, sister, sister."

Lilith collapsed to the ground, but Soraya was in excellent spirits, her eyes shining brightly. She took the bandage out of her mouth and washed her wounds with water. Guided by her power, the red thread on the ground seemed to come alive and flew into her hand.

Sorea easily tore off a small piece of red thread with her hand and used it to sew up the wound. The wound, which had been unable to heal, began to heal, and the bleeding stopped.

Lilith was thrilled to see this scene, and remembering Louis's earlier worries, she quickly said, "Didn't you say that Leia would be in mortal danger if she came across this red clue? She seems to be in much better spirits now, and her wounds have healed."

Louis glanced at Lilith without explaining. While most people wouldn't notice, Louis clearly sensed that the power belonging to his father, the ocean god Talmawen, was constantly disappearing from Soraya's body, while the power belonging to his mother, Chrona, was gradually increasing.

"Sister, let's finish this quickly, then find Father to re-insert the red thread into your body."

Sorea nodded. Although she looked much better now, she could feel her body slowly deteriorating.

The moment the goddess of fate, Chrona, and her divine kingdom vanished, all the demigod-level believers she had blessed disappeared in an instant. The Church of Fate declined within a day, and now very few humans know that it was once the largest church.

As the sole inheritor of Chrona's divine power, she should have vanished with the disappearance of the Goddess of Fate. But Solaya...

She was already pregnant at the time, and used the power of the child to maintain her form and delay her dissipation.

Then, Talmawen and Veldrian arrived and used their divine power to maintain Soraya's figure.

However, Solya's body could not accept Talmawen's divine power. As Solya's body became transparent, Veldrian thought of a way at the critical moment. He asked Talmawen to implant the red thread of destiny that Solya had been born with into her blood vessels. Thus, Solya avoided dissipation thanks to the power of destiny in the red thread.

After the Red Thread bought Soraya's body, she could no longer use the power of fate, and could only borrow the divine power that Talmawen attached to her body and her own elemental power.

This is why, despite being both divine children, Sorea's two older brothers are far more powerful than her.

Having not felt such abundant and familiar power in her body for a long time, Sorea couldn't help but stretch comfortably.

Then she walked straight out the door, and Louis and Lilith exchanged a glance and followed her, pulling Vivian along with them.

Sorea didn't need Vivian to lead the way. Having regained her strength, she could see a red line on everyone's body, and this red line determined everyone's fate. Although Sorea couldn't see the fate of so many people, she easily reached Edward by relying on the red lines of fate.

Yes, that's right. The red thread extracted from Sorea's body is the independent destiny red thread.

"Four demigods?" Soria tilted her head, looking at the two demigods guarding Edward and the two demigods hiding in the shadows.

Upon hearing Solaya's words, the four demigods realized their identities had been exposed and rushed out simultaneously, four black rune totems hurtling towards Solaya.

Lilith's expression changed, and she stepped forward to block Soraya, preparing to use her sword to withstand the four attacks.

Just as Lilith drew her knife, she was pulled behind Sorea.

Overwhelming red threads of fate spread outwards from Soraya's hand, easily breaking through the four demigod-level inscription attacks and wrapping around the four demigods.

Even though Louis hadn't extracted many red threads from Soraya's body just now, it seemed like these threads were inexhaustible in Soraya's hands.

These four demigods clearly wanted to attack Soraya and escape the control of the red thread, but their limbs felt like they were filled with lead, and they couldn't move at all. They could only be bound by the red thread.

Louis laughed at the sight before him; he hadn't seen Sorea so powerful and spirited in a long time.

"Sister, it's been so long since I've seen your puppet show."

Louis then stepped forward and put Edward down.

The workers, who had been working diligently without any reaction to Soraya dealing with the four demigods, all raised their heads when Edward was put down. They stared at Soraya and her group with identical cold expressions, their heads and eyes turning in sync with their movements.

The bizarre scene triggered memories of the past for Soraya, and she broke out in a cold sweat. Now was not the time to deal with these people; Soraya only wanted to get to Yuan's side and see how he was doing.

"The Great God of Destiny"

You are eternal in the river of time.

You are the gatekeeper of endless souls.

You control fate and manipulate fate.

I beg you to grant me the destiny to leave this place.

Based on the revelation Vivian had received from praying to the vanished god, Solaya tried to seek guidance from her mother. She believed that even a trace of Chrona's lingering power in the forbidden air could help them leave quickly.

After Solaya finished praying, the red threads on her body grew rapidly and wrapped around all the workers there.

Within this power, Sorea seemed to hear her mother calling her by her childhood name. She shook her head, banishing the thought from her mind, and focused her attention again on the trajectory of the red line of fate in the sky.

Just as Vivian's theory suggests, all the gods who once existed in the world have power remaining in the world. They cannot answer prayers, but you can borrow their power.

With this power, Sorea walked to the front, and before her was a red line of fate guiding her to the safest route, away from the civilians outside.

As Sorea and her group were about to reach their hiding place, they saw a huge and dazzling red sun floating in front of the house.

Ewan had fallen into a coma, and Monica, though covered in injuries, stayed by his side.

Greedy Blood Eyes seemed to be wary of something and did not kill Monica directly.

Sorea should be thankful that without divine power she couldn't see through the disguise of the greedy giant eye inside the sun, otherwise Monica wouldn't have been able to protect Yuan, she would have been turned into a pool of blood long ago.

Others didn't know why Greedy Blood Eye hadn't made a move, but Sorea and Louise got up. Just now, Yuan had Talmawen descend upon him, and Greedy Blood Eye was afraid that Talmawen would descend again.

Before Soraya could even get close to Yuan, the Greedy Blood Eye seemed to sense her, its spherical body awkwardly spinning in the sky, and then Soraya felt immense pressure.

Greedy, bloodshot eyes were staring at her with extreme malice!
