Chapter 204

Upon hearing that there were visitors from another world, Ange rushed over and saw a handsome, tall, blond man with a long sword guarding against the shop assistant.

Chang Jin breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing An Ge; the person in front of her had an incredibly strong aura.

"Leave this to me, you can go now."

The man looked at An Ge seriously, "You are the owner of this place?"

An Ge gave a businesslike smile. "Hello, welcome to Xianyuan Inn. I am the owner of the inn. You can call me the manager."

Seeing the friendly aura emanating from An Ge, Oris lowered his guard slightly. "No offense intended. May I ask where this place is?"

An Ge was prepared for this situation and explained it to him.

"Your name is Oris, right? Although we don't know why you're here yet, you're a guest, so you can relax here while the portal remains closed."

Upon hearing the explanation, Oris realized he had misunderstood the person. "I'm sorry, manager, I was rude to your staff earlier."

It seems this guest is quite polite.

Oris's attire was also from the Western fantasy world. An Ge originally thought it was because of the Elf Garden, and couldn't help but sigh that she had a connection with the Western fantasy world.

"Judging from your attire, you're a swordsman?" An Ge asked casually. She had heard Jon mention before that swordsmen existed in his world.

“Shopkeeper, this is one of my Knights of Light. The Church of Light is now under control, even controlling the puppets of the dwarves, and they even want to attack the elves. I was hunted down by the Temple of Light because I didn’t want to kill anymore. If it weren’t for the sudden appearance of the portal, I might have already been captured.”

An Ge was stunned. Why did this plot seem so familiar?

"Do you know Fang Yuanyuan?" An Ge asked tentatively.

Oris's eyes widened, his previously calm expression turning excited. "Does Your Excellency know Fang Yuanyuan? Could it be that Your Excellency has been to my hometown?"

"Uh, I haven't been there, but you might have someone from your hometown here." This also confirms that his previous guess about the origin of the visitors from another world was correct.

Oris clearly didn't understand what Ange meant and looked at her with some confusion.

Ange didn't explain further and led Oris directly to the foundry.

When he saw Hogg, Oris exclaimed in surprise, “Oh my god, it’s Grandmaster Hogg! I heard that a Grandmaster escaped and they’re hunting you down everywhere. I never expected to see you here.”

Hogg was wondering what the shopkeeper meant by "fellow countryman" when he heard Oris's words.

The usually composed dwarf was so excited that he dropped his tools. "You know me? Yes, the shopkeeper said you and I are from the same place, from the same plane."

Oris bowed to Hoggetsu, "I once went to the Dwarfs to forge weapons and had the honor of meeting Master Hoggetsu."

Seeing Hogg's excited expression, Oris continued, "You don't need to worry. Although the dwarves have lost their freedom, the humans have not slaughtered them because of the obstruction of righteous people. Now, Fang Yuanyuan wants to join forces with the orcs to attack the elves, and she still needs the dwarves to provide a large number of weapons."

Hogg breathed a sigh of relief, then became furious again. "How dare they cause trouble for the elves? This person is courting death. Although the elves live in seclusion, they are powerful. Even if the beastmen and humans joined forces, they might not necessarily come out on top."

“You’re right. We attacked once before, and both races suffered heavy losses. Many humans didn’t want to continue, which led to Fang Yuanyuan’s pursuit.” Then, Oris recounted his experience.

"Sigh, you're a good person, I never thought the Temple of Light would also become Fang Yuanyuan's henchman."

Hearing their conversation, An Ge raised the level of danger Fang Yuanyuan was in to another level.

According to Meng Xia, Fang Yuanyuan is somewhat clever, but she doesn't have the kind of charisma that can command a large following. How could she possibly win over the leaders of the three major races in succession?

When An Ge raised this question, Oris paused for a moment before saying, "I met Fang Yuanyuan once. At first, I even thought she would be hunted down by the Temple of Light because of her black hair and black eyes, which were rumored to be the child of a demon. For some reason, the Holy Lord did not punish her and even treated her with great courtesy."

Oris was just an ordinary knight and could not influence the Holy Lord's thoughts. Although he found it strange, he followed the Holy Lord's wishes and treated Fang Yuanyuan as a distinguished guest.

An Ge touched her long hair and couldn't help but complain, "Black hair and black eyes are so beautiful, how do you look like a demon?"

Oris bowed apologetically, "Please forgive my rudeness, store manager. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Now I know that black hair and black eyes were not a demon, but a god."

"Well, there's no need to get to know each other like that."

"Shopkeeper, before the next spatial gate opens, may I ask Master Huo for guidance on forging techniques?"

"The foundry has been handed over to Hogg; you can ask him."

Hogg initially harbored some resentment towards Oris because the humans had imprisoned the dwarves, but after hearing his story, his barely concealed anger immediately dissipated.

"Of course, we have a common enemy now, so we can be considered allies. I'd also like to learn more about the dwarves, so you can come here anytime."

Seeing that the two were getting along well, An Ge didn't disturb them and quickly took her leave.

Halfway there, An Ge suddenly realized that once the spatial gate opened, wouldn't that mean people from that dimension could come to the inn at any time?

Although Oris said that the door was located in the Central Forest, a remote and isolated place that was separate from several races and belonged to no other realm, making it difficult for anyone to discover, he would never have found it if he hadn't been being hunted down.

But as long as it exists, there's a possibility of it being discovered. Once Fang Yuanyuan discovers it, she will be in a passive position.

"This door is such a trap!" An Ge had never felt this door was such a huge trap as she did now.

"Xiao Qi, is there no way to control the appearance of the other face?"

“Master, I have already researched this before. If I had it, I would have told you already.”

An Ge sighed. She had thought it was a good thing, but it turned out that even good things come with risks. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. "I almost forgot, I can set up an array!"

An Ge recalled the illusion she experienced when she first went to the Tianyan Sect to become an apprentice, and an idea came to her. She decided to set up an illusion to spy on people's inner thoughts.

With her current strength, she cannot set up a high-level formation. However, with Lu Yan around, and through her persistent learning, Lu Yan is now a level six formation master.

An Ge believed that no matter how strong Fang Yuanyuan was, she would not violate the rules of this plane's Heavenly Dao. After being suppressed, the level six illusion array was enough to reveal her inner thoughts.

Although using the illusion array cannot completely solve the problem, it can stop Fang Yuanyuan from probing, and at least prevent her from being too passive.
