An Ge looked at Bitton's excited expression, somewhat puzzled.
Why is he so excited about just going out? Is he tired of being with the elves?
Nat shared Bitton's idea and was happy to see his people embrace the Ango, even giving it a push.
With the gods gone for so long, Nat's faith in them was no longer as strong as before. After the previous great battle, he was even more certain that the gods had abandoned them.
In the past, when priests communicated with the gods, they could only vaguely sense their will. Sometimes the gods would bestow blessings, but this power, when distributed among each elf, was almost negligible.
Nat believed that the so-called blessing was nothing more than the gods telling the elves that they existed.
The gods had not appeared for a century, and the people had gradually entered a desert of faith. Ango's appearance filled the void of faith in the hearts of the elves.
This belief was strengthened, especially after she intervened to save the Tree of Life. Many elves firmly believed that Ange was the embodiment of a god, who had led them out of their suffering.
The Elf King had lived for thousands of years and naturally knew that Ange did not consider herself a god. Therefore, while he spoke to Ange with reverence, he did not let Ange notice it.
“Byton, take good care of An Xiaoyou. If she loses even a single hair, I’ll hold you responsible.”
Beaton shuddered. "Don't worry, Your Majesty, I will protect Lord An with my life."
Ange... that's not the case.
With Bitton in tow, Ango flew towards the dwarf tribe.
Then, she regretted it.
Why didn't anyone tell her that Beaton was a terrible navigator?
An Ge shuddered when she saw the pair of eyes that seemed to want to tear her apart and devour her whole.
Beaton did a great job, actually bringing her to the vampire clan.
Vampires are fewer in number than elves, but each one is capable of taking on ten opponents at once. They are usually reclusive and rarely venture onto the continent.
Even if Ange didn't know much about this continent, she knew from a glance at a map of the continent with Nat that the vampires and dwarves were in different directions from the elves.
Good heavens! An Ge exclaimed, "Good heavens! That rascal, Beaton, this isn't just taking a detour, he's practically trying to go around the entire hemisphere! Should we be thankful that this plane is also spherical?"
"The scent of elves... Wow, your blood smells so good. Hmm? You're not an elf, so how come your scent is even better than his?"
"How dare you! You are not allowed to be disrespectful to Lord An." Beaton suddenly stood in front of An Ge, looking at the vampire with a wary expression.
The vampire's eyes flickered as he observed the elf's attitude. "I am Count Martin, the vampire. Welcome to the vampire clan. This gentleman must be the legendary Lord An, the one so renowned throughout the continent?"
Ange was unaware of the vampire hierarchy, but Bitton became even more wary upon hearing that the other party was a count.
The Count is one of the most powerful vampires.
"This is indeed an honored guest of our Elven race. Please forgive him for wandering into your esteemed place."
Martin received Beaton's affirmation, and his gaze toward Ango became even more ardent.
“My dear lady, please forgive my rudeness, but you are truly the most beautiful person I have ever seen. There is a saying among your human race: ‘Guests are always welcome.’ Since you have come to my tribe, how can I not treat you with hospitality?”
This place happens to be not far from my palace. Would you two have the honor of being invited there?
The vampire was polite, but his words were unquestionable. Ange thought that if they didn't want to start a war, they should go and see what the other side was really up to.
She didn't have anything urgent to do anyway. Although she often complained about Lu Yan and the others being restless, she probably had an adventurous gene in her bones.
In the past, she lacked strength and had no choice but to stay at home every day. Now, with her strength, even if she encounters the top combat power on this continent, she will not be in any danger.
"My lord." Beaton was somewhat worried and wanted to stop Ange.
An Ge glanced silently at Bitton, who immediately shrank back upon sensing An Ge's murderous aura.
He really didn't do it on purpose; he clearly remembered that this direction was the direction of the dwarves.
Hogg, who had been waiting in the clan for half a day upon hearing the news that Ange was coming, was so frightened that he stomped his feet.
Good heavens, where did the store manager go?
Upon entering the Earl's territory, Ange shut down her holographic ring. Unbeknownst to her, her impromptu decision had caused an uproar among the dwarves and elves.
Upon entering the vampire territory, the sun in the sky seemed to be obscured by an invisible force, and everything was gloomy.
An Ge shuddered as she looked at the scattered stone tablets.
Sure enough, she could never get used to ghosts, no matter what. Although, vampires can't really be called ghosts.
Ange was only a little uncomfortable psychologically, but Bitton was completely stunned.
Elves are close to nature, and conversely, forces that go against nature can weaken their fighting power to some extent. If it weren't for protecting Ango, Beaton would have already dashed away.
Seeing Beaton's desperate attempt to endure the discomfort, An Ge's initial resentment vanished instantly. She released her life force towards Beaton, trying to alleviate his discomfort.
Feeling the pure life force, Beaton was so moved that he almost cried.
Oh dear, Lord An is so kind. Not only does he not blame me, but he also considers my feelings. He truly deserves to be called my god.
If Ange could see the loyalty level, she would find that Beaton had become her die-hard fan.
After walking for a while, Ange saw a dim light ahead, which should be the Earl's location.
Although vampires are divided into ranks, almost every vampire fights for themselves and reigns supreme in their own territory.
Hearing Beaton's quiet explanation, Ange breathed a sigh of relief. This was for the best; at least if the two sides clashed, it wouldn't escalate into a major war with the entire vampire race.
The count's castle was even larger than she had imagined. Looking at the magnificent interior of the castle, An Ge was momentarily dazed.
If you didn't know where you were, you might think you had arrived at a palace of the Western human race.
No, even human palaces aren't necessarily this magnificent.
Martin extended an invitation to Ange in the manner of a host, "Honorable guests, it is getting late. I have arranged for the butler to prepare guest rooms for you. Please rest for the night, and I will show you around my territory tomorrow."
An Ge glanced at the sky outside. How could he tell that it was already late?
However, Martin's words were exactly what she wanted to hear. She didn't know Martin's purpose yet, so she took this time to observe him carefully.
Before following the butler to the guest room, Martin suddenly asked, "Are you two hungry? Would you like me to get you some food?"
An Ge: "...Thank you, but no need." They wouldn't dare eat vampire food.
Ange's expression amused Martin, who watched Ange and Beaton leave with a gentlemanly smile.
