Chapter 287

All night long, various unexpected things happened in An Ge's room, but An Ge remained as still as a meditating monk, refusing to open his eyes, which infuriated the ghosts and monsters.

Over time, An Ge actually got used to it and slept very soundly with the sounds coming from inside.

She slept soundly through the night, and in the morning, Ange's biological clock automatically woke her up.

It was still gloomy outside, and An Ge suspected that there was no sun at all here. She stretched and washed up with a relaxed expression.

Walking up to the mirror, An Ge looked at the woman in the mirror, who was baring her teeth and brandishing her claws, and rolled her eyes in a very inelegant way.

A sentence is prominently displayed next to the mirror: "Mirror Woman, exists only in the mirror. If you touch her, she can pull you into the mirror."

Since the Mirror Woman couldn't come out, An Ge didn't bother to do anything, let alone scream in fear. It has to be said, seeing such a expressive performance so early in the morning cleared up her muddled mind considerably.

After getting ready, Ange knocked on Beaton's door.

Beaton didn't dare to sleep all night. Hearing the knock on the door, he asked warily, "Who is it?"

"It's already morning, you can come out now."

After a long while, Beaton carefully opened the door and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Ange.

Ange looked at Beaton's exhausted face with amusement. "Didn't you already know the rules? Why aren't you rested yet?"

Beaton looked miserable. "I know, but I still can't ignore it. Let alone sleep, it's already hard enough to just keep my eyes closed."

Ange tossed a fruit to Beaton for breakfast, saying, "I'll go to your room later to see if there are any new rules. Try to stay in your room today and don't go out."

And what about you?

"It's not easy to come across something so interesting, so of course I have to explore it. Don't worry, it's actually more convenient for me to go out alone."

Beaton... almost bluntly said he was dragging the team down.

After observing Beaton's room, Ange gave him a few rules and then strolled leisurely out of the castle.

I ran into Martin as soon as I entered the lobby.

Seeing An Ge's energetic appearance, Martin recalled her ghostly complaints in her room yesterday, and his lips twitched silently. "Miss An, did you sleep well last night?"

"Okay, of course. But I have to tell you, there's always a banging noise coming from your castle in the middle of the night. If I weren't a good sleeper, I would have been exhausted today."

My friend Beaton didn't get enough sleep yesterday because of the noise, and he's catching up on sleep in his room right now. Martin, we're your guests, and if this keeps going on, Beaton and I can't stay long."

After Ange finished speaking, she could clearly feel Martin's breathing quicken.

Martin took a few deep breaths and forced a gentlemanly smile. "It was my mistake. Don't worry, no one will disturb us tonight."

"That's good. By the way, as a guest, may I tour the castle?"

Martin's eyes lit up. "Of course, most of my territory is open to you."

That's great. There are rules everywhere inside and outside the castle. He doesn't believe An Ge will break any of them.

The two exchanged a glance, both seeing satisfaction in each other's eyes.

After saying goodbye to Martin, Ange headed straight for the garden. She thought of the figure that had left yesterday, as if it had run towards the garden.

An Ge automatically considers anyone who can give her a note reminding her, regardless of who the other person is.

The flowers in the castle garden were so vibrant that Ange couldn't help but wonder how there could be such bright flowers when the sun never shines here all year round.

Looking at the large red flower that seemed to drip blood, An Ge thought of something and felt nauseous.

These flowers all follow certain rules and cannot be touched. If you admire them for too long, you will be bewitched by the flowers and enter a dreamlike state.

An Ge walked quickly through the flower bushes. Even without any rules, she didn't intend to pick the flowers, let alone the fact that they might have been watered with countless drops of blood, which made her have no desire to even appreciate them.

Unbeknownst to her, high up in the castle, Martin watched Ango ignore the beautiful flowers and sighed in disappointment.

The garden is full of rules, such as not being able to walk through the garden paths, not being able to sit on the garden benches, and not being able to get your clothes wet when crossing the stream.

An Ge dodged the traps precisely throughout, giving the feeling of playing a real-life game, which actually made it quite enjoyable.

Martin, who was waiting in the room for Ange to break the rules, waited for a long time without receiving any reminders, and was so angry that he almost couldn't help but show his two sharp teeth.

The garden was very large, and it took An Ge quite a while to get out.

Don't be fooled by how easily she left; if it were anyone else, they would have fallen into countless traps long ago.

In a secluded corner of the garden, there stood a small house. The house was dilapidated and offered no shelter from the wind or rain.

Just as An Ge was about to approach, she saw a little boy, about ten years old, dart out of the house. The boy was dressed in tattered clothes, his hair was messy, and his face was dirty, making it impossible to see his features.

The moment An Ge saw the other person's figure, she knew that he was the one who had passed her the note yesterday.

The little boy seemed frightened when he saw An Ge and quickly ran into a dark place.

"Hey." An Ge, supporting Er Kang's hand, tried to call out to the little boy, but he disappeared without turning his head.

"Sigh, it makes me look like some kind of villain." An Ge sighed. She wanted to chase after him, but when she thought of the terrified look in his eyes, she stopped.

She had been curious about who the figure was, but now that she was sure the person was not in danger, she stopped trying to find out.

A crimson streak appeared on the horizon, creating an oppressive atmosphere. A breeze picked up, rustling the leaves. Countless plants were enveloped in the power of rules, foreshadowing an impending downpour.

An Ge quickly headed back; there was definitely something wrong with the rain, and she didn't want to get soaked.

"Boom!" With a loud bang, the rain poured down. In the last instant before the raindrops fell, Ange ran away from the castle.

"Hey Martin, we meet again. The weather here changes so fast! I almost got caught in the rain." Ange greeted Martin with a bright smile, like a friend.

Martin looked at An Ge, who wasn't wet at all, and said with a forced smile, "Yeah, it's always like this here. You're really lucky."

There were at least dozens of rules in the garden, and she hadn't violated a single one. Martin couldn't help but wonder if she was just incredibly lucky, or if she possessed something that allowed her to evade the rules.

No, these rules were all given by the gods. Gods are invincible, and ordinary people cannot fight against them.

All I can say is that An Ge is incredibly lucky. He refused to believe that even with the best luck, with so many rules in place, not a single one could cause her to fail.

An Ge smiled even more broadly, "I really am very lucky."

"Have you eaten? I've prepared food for you and Beaton. Don't worry, it's all human-safe food. I wouldn't let my friend eat anything he can't handle."

After Martin finished speaking, he clapped his hands before An Ge could even speak.
