Chapter 327

Emerging from the desolate land, An Ge took advantage of the remaining time to slowly experience the local customs and culture of the Tianxuan Continent with Hu Jiu.

After entering the town closest to the desolate land, the three of them did not ride spirit beasts, but walked and looked around like ordinary people.

Unlike the dramatic lives of cultivators, the lives of mortals remained peaceful and tranquil, even less productive than those of the Great Ye Kingdom. If it weren't for the occasional appearance of cultivators in the mortal realm, An Ge would have thought she had left the Tianxuan Continent.

“This place is close to the cultivation world, and there are cultivators here occasionally. In the mortal realm, not everyone knows about cultivation. The cultivation world has rules that prohibit easily revealing one's cultivation level in the mortal realm,” Hu Jiu explained.

An Ge understood; this was exactly what she had worried about. Mortals have their normal lives, and compared to cultivators, their lives are often disrupted.

The advantage over the Great Ye Kingdom is that, due to the relationship between the spiritual energy of the plane and the hierarchy, mortals here have the potential to become cultivators.

"Compared to the life of a monk, I prefer the warmth and life of the human world." She has experienced both kinds of life. The life of a monk is exciting yet monotonous, but most of the time is spent in meditation and cultivation.

No wonder most cultivators give people the feeling of being detached from worldly desires. They meditate all day long, focusing on cultivation and having very few other desires. How could they not be detached from worldly desires?

Two months later, An Ge felt a powerful summoning force, and she knew that her time to stay in Tianxuan Continent had come to an end.

"I wonder when the portal to space will open on the Tianxuan Continent. I've only visited two towns, and I haven't had enough fun yet."

The Tianxuan Continent is so vast that even a slightly larger town is almost the size of a city in the Daye Kingdom.

"It's easy to come back later; whether the portal to the outside world is open or not won't make much difference."

"You don't understand, who would want to spend money if they could get something for free?" An Ge rolled her eyes at Hu Jiu.

“…You’re right.” Hu Jiu unconditionally agreed with An Ge’s words.

A flash of white light, and the two people and the god disappeared from the spot. When An Ge opened her eyes again, she was met with a pair of pitiful eyes and a face that seemed to be watching a good show.

"Heh! Lu Yan, what a coincidence, we just got back and we've already seen you. And Yi'er, you look like you've been doing well lately, you've gained quite a bit of weight."

An Ge felt a little guilty. She had confidently said that she would come back after leaving for a month, but she had been gone for almost half a year.

"Sister An, you're lying." Yi'er held back her tears, which made An Ge feel sorry for her.

Hu Jiu patted Yi'er's head. "Your sister An has important things to do. She didn't do it on purpose."

Hearing Hu Jiu's words, Yier cheered up.

Lu Yan was almost amused by Yi'er's antics. "How can you believe everything Hu Jiu says? I'm sure those two have abandoned us to go play."

"Lu Yan, what have you been feeding Yi'er since he first arrived at the inn?" An Ge looked at Lu Yan angrily. Yi'er was different from the other divine servants. Firstly, he was young, and secondly, his past experiences made him particularly insecure.

It was also her fault; she had promised Il that she would return soon.

It seems I can't apply the same attitude I had towards Lu Yan and the others to Ir anymore; raising a child is truly a demanding task.

Lu Yan was about to retort when he saw a chubby toddler, about three years old, yawning with bright, sparkling eyes. The toddler looked a lot like An Ge; he was practically a miniature version of An Ge.

"You guys, you've moved so fast, you've already created a child?" Lu Yan's eyes widened in surprise. "Have you stumbled into a time portal where time flows differently than outside?"

"Hehe, you have quite the imagination." She didn't believe that with Lu Yan's strength, he wouldn't be able to sense Xiao Qi's unusual behavior.

Faced with the death stares from An Ge and Hu Jiu, Lu Yan quickly backed down, "I was just joking. But who is this little guy? His aura is really strange."

"Xiao Qi".

"Oh, so it's Xiao, Xiao Qi?" Lu Yan looked at Xiao Qi as if it were a monster. "This is really the first time I've heard of a divine spirit taking human form. This chubby little thing is even smaller than a tiger cub."

Xiao Qi immediately got angry when he heard that; he hated it when people called him Fatty.

"You big devil, my biggest mistake was choosing you as my divine servant."

"Well, I have to thank you. If it weren't for your help in recruiting, how could I be so carefree now?"

An Ge was already used to the fight between the two. Back when Xiao Qi couldn't speak, he could still fight Lu Yan to a standstill, let alone now that he has a mouth.

Anyway, they always know their limits when they argue, so An Ge didn't bother with them. Lu Yan may seem carefree all the time, but he's got a lot of pent-up frustration from his past experiences, so it's good that Xiao Qi is here to let him vent.

Il looked at his younger brother, who looked even younger than him, with curiosity, and felt very happy.

He can't play with human children, and usually just chats with the ginseng child. Now he has another child, which is really nice.

"Sister An, something big happened at the inn while you were away." Il said, her expression turning serious as she recalled the important matter.

Ange pinched Yier's serious little face, "No matter how big the matter is, it's not something a child should worry about. Don't always have such a serious face, or you'll turn into a little old man."

“I’m older than you, so I’m not a kid,” Il retorted.

"You can't calculate it like that. By vampire age standards, you're a kid." An Ge said confidently, but she was inwardly annoyed. Even if you included her age from her previous life, she was still the youngest among them, which was really frustrating.

However, she did not deceive Il; Il was indeed still young, both in appearance and in mind.

"What's going on at the inn?" An Ge asked curiously. Although Lu Yan seemed unreliable, with him in charge, nothing major should have happened.

Hearing An Ge's question, Lu Yan also became serious for once.

"A guest came to the inn a few months ago, and this guest is very powerful."

An Ge raised an eyebrow. It wasn't common for someone to be called very strong by Lu Yan. "How strong? You can't possibly beat him?"

She was joking; in fact, An Ge felt there were almost no guests who could defeat Lu Yan. After all, Lu Yan was already the ceiling of combat power in this plane.

Unexpectedly, Lu Yan's expression changed several times upon hearing An Ge's words, and he finally nodded reluctantly, "He's stronger than me, and even stronger than Lao Hu. You could say that the entire inn combined might not be able to beat him."

An Ge and Hu Jiu exchanged a glance, both seeing surprise in each other's eyes.

"Impossible! You're all at the pinnacle of achievement, how could anyone surpass you?"

"That's true, but now the ceiling has collapsed. He's not much stronger than us, but that guy has extremely rich combat experience. Anyway, I'm no match for him, and Old Hu certainly isn't either."

Speaking of this, Lu Yan felt extremely depressed.
