Chapter 506

Inside the dilapidated house, Wu Weimin gasped for breath. That girl wasn't normal; those horrific scenes must have been her doing.

The thought that the house might not belong to him, and that he would lose his means to rebuild his life, filled Wu Weimin with heartache. But he dared not cause trouble for his granddaughter, and he didn't even dare to step into that neighborhood again.

"Dad, have you gotten the house yet?" Wu Ya swayed in, her fat body swaying. Her hair was messy, her face was scarred, and her clothes looked like they hadn't been washed for at least several days. In the hot weather, the stench could be smelled from afar.

Wu Weimin was even angrier when he saw his spendthrift daughter. "You unlucky thing, stay away from me! It's all because of you, otherwise I wouldn't be like this. Still thinking about the house? That girl's daughter is back, what house do we have left?"

He used to think that although his daughter was not as pretty as An Ge, she was good at studying, had a sweet tongue, and was attractive to men. Most importantly, she was surnamed Wu, so he devoted a lot of energy to her.

He didn't know when it started, but Wu Ya seemed to be possessed by a god of bad luck, and everything he did was unlucky. At first, he didn't pay attention, but as time went on, he felt that something was wrong.

Everyone has their bad days, but it's rare to see someone like Wu Ya where nothing goes right. Eventually, it escalated to the point where even drinking cold water caused problems, and everyone close to her suffered misfortune as well.

After nearly losing his life several times with Wu Ya, Wu Weimin grew tired of his daughter. If it weren't for her good relationship with the Li family's son, and the fact that the Li family could provide him with assistance, he would have kicked Wu Ya out long ago.

Unexpectedly, Wu Ya and Li Heng had already broken up. This brat had kept it a secret for fear of upsetting him, which infuriated Wu Weimin. In the end, no matter how much Wu Ya pleaded, he resolutely kicked her out of the house.

Without Wu Ya, his business didn't improve, and he slowly squandered his fortune. His young wife also left him. In the end, he could only live in this dilapidated place. If it weren't for the demolition, he would have almost forgotten that there was any possibility of turning his life around.

Wu Ya pouted, about to speak, when she tripped and fell, her old wound on her face now covered in new pain. She seemed used to it, nonchalantly brushing the dirt off herself. "My bad luck is my own fault. What does your business failure have to do with me? All these years later, you're still trying to pin this on me. I won't accept it. Wait, what did you just say? Who came back?"

No matter how unhappy Wu Weimin was with Wu Ya, he didn't dare to do anything too outrageous as he got older, since he was counting on Wu Ya to support him in his old age. After venting his anger, he said irritably, "Who else could it be? Of course, it's An Ge's daughter."

He no longer has any intention of letting An Ge support him in his old age, and he doesn't give this suddenly appearing granddaughter a friendly look.

Upon hearing the name An Ge, Wu Ya exclaimed as if she had heard something terrifying. "Ah, An Ge? She... she's back?"

"You're back, so what's wrong with you? It's not her, it's her daughter, who knows whose bastard she had with whom?"

Wu Ya was so frightened that she took a step back and accidentally fell to the ground. Ignoring the pain, her eyes were filled with madness as she asked, "Her daughter? What does she look like?"

"She looks a lot like that brat, but much prettier. Humph, if you look like that, why bother suffering with that poor boy Li Heng?" They had assumed the Li family was powerful and wealthy, and Li Heng was the obvious heir. Unexpectedly, Li Heng was kicked out of the Li family, and they completely severed ties with him.

He eventually learned that the Li family disliked him because of his bad luck, believing he had brought bad fortune to the family. He had initially thought it was just an excuse from the Li family and even dreamed of Li Heng returning to their home. Only after meeting Li Heng did he understand why the Li family had made such a decision.

Li Heng's misfortune is on par with Wu Ya's, and based on that alone, the Li family would never let him go back.

Wu Ya, unaware of Wu Weimin's thoughts, screamed hysterically, her face filled with terror, "No, it must be An Ge herself. She's a monster. I've seen her in the God's Space before, and she's actually hanging out with monsters."

"You're talking nonsense again. What kind of divine space? I thought you were cured of your madness, but now you've relapsed?"

Wu Ya shook her head frantically, "I'm not crazy. I told you about the God's Space twenty years ago, but you never took it seriously. Now look what's happened, An Ge is back, she must want to get revenge on us! No, I don't have any deep-seated hatred for her, if anyone wants revenge, it's you. Didn't you say I was unlucky? I won't bother you anymore, and don't tell An Ge you've seen me."

After saying that, Wu Ya scrambled away. She tripped and fell twice in the short distance, but she didn't care at all; she just wanted to get away from this place as quickly as possible.

Wu Weimin initially thought Wu Ya was talking nonsense, but recalling what he had seen earlier, he couldn't help but shudder. That girl was definitely acting strangely; perhaps what Wu Ya said was true? With this thought in mind, he dared not cause any trouble.

The thought of being so poor and destitute in his old age made Wu Weimin feel that the world was unfair. But he never thought that you reap what you sow. If he had even a shred of fatherly affection for An Ge, things wouldn't have come to this.

An Ge had put almost all her belongings into the space, leaving it truly bare. She glanced one last time at the height chart on the wall, then gently closed the door.

The presence of my grandparents has long since vanished from this place, not even their ghosts remain. Given their good deeds, they must have been reincarnated long ago. Keeping these objects is merely a form of comfort.

An Ge decided to donate the compensation money from the demolition, so she went directly to a charity and entrusted them with handling the house issue. She had specifically chosen the charity; with her current resources, it wouldn't be difficult for her to investigate certain matters.

Having resolved these matters, An Ge breathed a long sigh of relief. She could sense that the void in her divine core was being slowly filled, but it was still a little short. Fortunately, she now understood her inner conflict, so filling that void wouldn't be difficult.

Suddenly, An Ge felt a surge of faith power flowing in from all directions. This power was extremely faint, almost imperceptible if one wasn't paying attention. This puzzled her; she seemed to have done nothing wrong, so where did this faith power come from?

Just then, Fang Ying rushed over in a panic, "An, An Jiu, you're trending on social media, what impact will that have on you?"

An Ge looked at the trending topics with curiosity and then learned the whole story. It turned out that photos of herself when she first arrived in this world had been uploaded to the internet. At first, it only circulated on a small scale, until a famous director saw the photos and specifically asked to audition for her, which caused a sensation.

"It won't have any impact, Brother Fang, don't worry." Since her identity had already been exposed, she was too lazy to pretend anymore.

Upon hearing An Ge's address, Fang Ying paused for a moment, then chuckled.
