Chapter 88

"Da Niu, I heard from your mother that you went to the Immortal Inn. Why are you back so soon? Where's Shi Tou? Didn't he go with you?"

"Don't worry, Auntie. Brother Shi is back too. He said he had to go to town to see Sister Yingzi first, which is why he was delayed."

Someone spotted Da Niu and braved the cold to run out. "Hey, where did Da Niu go to make his fortune? Look how well he's dressed. Why is he bringing back so much stuff?" There must be so much stuff; his basket is almost overflowing.

"These are the inn's uniforms and some New Year's goods, all given away for free. Aunties, I'm going home now, it's too cold outside, don't get cold."

After Da Niu left, the group was still somewhat incredulous.

Everyone stared at the room full of New Year's goods, speechless for a long time. It wasn't until the exclamations of several onlookers brought them back to their senses.

"This is too generous! May the immortals be merciful!" Old Lady Niu prayed incessantly.

"I shouldn't have stopped my son!" someone cried out, slapping their thigh in frustration. "Big Niu, is the immortal sect still recruiting?"

Da Niu shook his head. "How would I know about the store manager's affairs? But there are quite a few places to work near Cangshan, and the wages are quite high."

Some people had an idea: why not send their own family members there to try their luck?

Stone's mother beamed with joy. Her Stone had also gone to work, so wouldn't he bring back just as many things?
