Chapter Forty-Two

Inside the Fairy Tale Inn, An Ge looked at the familiar room, somewhat bewildered. It took her a while to realize, "Is this finally me back?"

An Ge lay down on the bed, feeling the softness beneath her, and rolled around happily with her pillow in her arms. "Finally, my savage life is over."

Once inside the boundless space, time outside was almost frozen. For An Ge, a month had passed, but in the outside world, it was merely a fleeting moment.

"I wonder how Master is doing?" An Ge murmured to herself, propping her chin up with a pillow. She was already missing that eccentric old man after only a short while.

"777, what exactly is going on with the Boundless Space? I haven't been able to contact you over there."

"We have no idea either. Normally, the host wouldn't go to a higher-level plane. Perhaps the host has some connection with that plane?"

An Ge thought about it carefully, "Could it be that Hu Jiu and the others are from that plane?" There is more than one cultivation plane. If they are really from the same plane as Hu Jiu, that would be too much of a coincidence.

"I don't want to think about it anymore. It's not a bad thing. I can actually cultivate immortality!" An Ge said belatedly.

Compared to ancient martial arts, being able to cultivate immortality would certainly be better.

During her month in this other world, An Ge didn't have a single day to properly tidy herself up.

If her master hadn't used the Cleansing Technique on her a few times, An Ge thought she would definitely have stinked.

Even so, she felt unwell all over because she hadn't washed herself properly with water.

An Ge washed herself thoroughly, inside and out, and only after feeling completely refreshed did she feel alive again.

"Go ask Old Sun to get me something to eat." She wasn't hungry, but that didn't stop her from wanting to eat.

"Ding-dong!" The doorbell rang.

An Ge opened the door with a puzzled look and saw Hu Jiu standing at the door with a complicated expression.

Having not seen each other for a month, An Ge really missed him and exclaimed with delight, "Hu Jiu, what did you want to see me about?"

An Ge had just washed her hair; her long, wet hair was draped behind her, her face was flushed from the steam, and she exuded the fresh scent of shower gel.

Hu Jiu was at a loss and didn't dare to look directly at him.

"Um, I wanted to discuss the trip with you."

"I was just about to talk to you about this. Come in quickly."

As An Ge spoke, she lay down on the beanbag chair without a care in the world.

Hu Jiu hesitated for a moment, then went inside and opened the door.

The room wasn't very big, but the warm yellow walls and lighting made it feel cozy and the furnishings were just right, showing the owner's thoughtfulness.

Hu Jiu sat on the sofa with his back straight, only then noticing that An Ge's breathing was off.

It's clearly the strength of a fourth-level Qi Refining cultivator.

What exactly happened in such a short time?

"You... are you ready to cultivate?"

When this matter was brought up, An Ge had a lot to say and recounted her experiences over the past month.

If it were anyone else, An Ge wouldn't reveal the existence of the system. But facing Hu Jiu, An Ge didn't know why she just didn't want to hide it.

Hu Jiu was overjoyed at An Ge's honesty. Did this mean that she trusted him?

So she called that thing a system?

Hu Jiu listened quietly to An Ge's complaints, "It's a pity I know too little about that plane, and my master didn't tell me much either, otherwise I could have told you in detail. Maybe it's your hometown!"

"There are countless cultivation worlds, and it may not be the one I am in."

"But the system said that under normal circumstances, you won't go to a new dimension. I probably went there because I had some connection with that dimension. After thinking about it, the only way this could have happened is if I had contact with you recruiters."

Hearing this, Hu Jiu felt a little guilty. He had branded An Ge with the exclusive mark of a nine-tailed fox for her safety.

Could it be because of this?

"You said you've taken on a master? What's his name?"

An Ge shook her head, propped herself up on her elbow, and said, "Master hasn't mentioned it to me. He doesn't seem interested in talking about his plane. By the way, how strong am I in this world? Am I considered a top-tier expert?"

Looking at An Ge's expectant eyes, Hu Jiu smiled and said, "Probably equivalent to a third-rate martial artist."

An Ge sighed in disappointment, then comforted herself, "Even rudimentary skills are still skills."

Hu Jiu noticed the bracelet on An Ge's wrist and felt it was unusual. "May I take a look at this bracelet?"

An Ge readily took off the bracelet. "This is a gift from my master. I must say, my master has a good eye. This bracelet is really beautiful."

Hu Jiu took the bracelet and immediately sensed its unusual nature. He examined it closely, feeling a sense of familiarity. After probing it with his divine sense, he rarely showed such a shocked expression.

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the bracelet?"

"This is a storage space, which is quite rare. I was just a little surprised," Hu Jiu explained.

"It's a personal space?" An Ge was overjoyed. When she used to read novels, she was most envious of the protagonists' personal spaces. She never thought she would have the chance to have one herself.

Her connection to space is not limited by planes, so it can be used.

Following Hu Jiu's instructions, An Ge performed a blood oath ceremony, establishing a connection between her consciousness and the jade bracelet.

"It's even bigger than my room," An Ge said after taking a look.

"As your strength increases, it should become even larger. This is a rare treasure, so it's best not to reveal it easily. Fortunately, only a few people in this world recognize its value."

The magical Qiankun Bracelet is more than just a storage space.

There are only a handful of divine artifacts in the world, and the few that have appeared in the world are in the hands of a few powerful beings. How could they appear in An Ge's place so casually?

If it really is the Qiankun Bracelet, he can probably guess who An Ge's master is.
