Chapter Twenty-Four

The system's development direction and purpose are closely related to the host's personal desires. An Ge couldn't help but admire his "colleagues"—they were all incredibly ambitious.

"When is the next ranking?" This little system is too easily satisfied. It's happy just not being in the bottom three!

In her past life, An Ge had always strived to be the best, and had never fallen behind like this before. Upon hearing the rankings, the spirit of the Scroll King from her past life suddenly awakened, and she decided to manage the inn well, at least to make it onto the excellent list!

The system was unaware that its host was motivated by the poor ranking and that a huge surprise awaited it in the future. At this moment, it was still encouraging An Ge: "The evaluation has no fixed time. The next one will be in three months. Keep it up, host. The inn has been upgraded this time, so we will gain a lot of points. We will definitely be able to stabilize our ranking next time."

An Ge "..."

System, where is your ambition?

Ange was curious about the system's insistence on not falling to the bottom: "What are the consequences of being ranked last?"

"Different energy levels are awarded based on ranking, except for the bottom three."

"Which three are from the bottom?"

"These are the Villain Redemption System, the Imperial Examination System, and the Plant System."

The systems also frequently communicated, and according to Tongtong, Ange had gained some understanding of the latter three.

Those who possess the imperial examination system are likely to be academic failures. They have the system but don't work hard, so they continue to be academic failures in a different world.

The host of the plant system is someone who was thrown into interstellar space where plants are almost extinct, making it difficult to even find a living plant, let alone collect different plants.

Even more pitiful is the villain's redemption system.

"That host was being chased so badly by the villain. If it weren't for the help from the system store, he might have died several times over," 777 said with some sympathy.

An Ge fell silent again. She suddenly felt that her system wasn't too outrageous, at least it hadn't teleported her to strange dimensions, and she was also glad that she hadn't made any bizarre wishes.

Her conversation with 777 gave An Ge some understanding of the system and the different dimensions. She realized that the system was definitely hiding a lot, but ultimately it didn't seem to have any malicious intent.

Since that's the case, she'll just focus on running the inn for now, and one day she'll find out the whole truth.

Not far from the inn, villagers from Xiashui Village were packing up their belongings, preparing to make a living here.

God knows how shocked and excited they were when they saw the inn yesterday.

It turns out the rumors were true!

Everyone congratulated each other, and a restless heart finally found peace.

After a careful survey, several experienced villagers discovered that although the area was covered with dense forest, it was nestled against the mountains and beside the water, and more importantly, it was close to the land of immortals. As long as they worked hard, they could make a living here.

At that moment, everyone unanimously decided to settle down in this village.

In order not to disturb the immortals, they chose a location some distance away from the inn.

"Mother, Mother, look! There are immortals!"

The adults looked up and saw the white building in the distance grow even more magnificent in the blink of an eye, as if it were about to pierce the clouds.

The villagers had never seen such a breathtaking scene before, and even the mischievous children quietly gazed into the distance.

"A miracle! A miracle has occurred!" someone exclaimed excitedly, breaking the silence.

"May the gods protect us! May the gods protect us!"

The group immediately knelt down and kowtowed repeatedly towards the inn.

The inn's guests were equally shocked. After they explored the place thoroughly, their calm hearts were once again stirred.

"This black mirror is actually a television, but what is a television?"

"I'm more interested in the hot springs. I haven't been feeling well lately, and I'm really looking forward to soaking in one! I wonder when they'll open?"

"Look, there's a new garden in the backyard. The shop assistant said it's free and it's open now. Shall we go take a look?"

Everyone nodded, and the group walked towards the garden in a grand procession.

Upon entering the garden, the words "Fairy Garden" immediately caught the eye. A closer look revealed that it was actually composed entirely of flowers!

As you walk further along the path, towering trees you've never seen before make the garden even more tranquil, and all sorts of flowers add a romantic touch.

At first, everyone thought that the Fairy Garden was nothing special except for its exotic flowers and plants, and even lacked the refinement of an ordinary courtyard.

Why would such an ordinary garden appear in a celestial realm?

Just as everyone was puzzled, someone suddenly asked, "Don't you all feel like all your troubles have disappeared in this garden?"

Only then did everyone notice that since entering the garden, they felt exceptionally relaxed, and the things that had been troubling them seemed to have stopped bothering them. With their spirits lifted, they felt several years younger.

"The immortals truly possess nothing of the ordinary; we have simply been ignorant!" someone exclaimed, immediately drawing a chorus of agreement.

"Look, isn't that a house?"

Looking in the direction of the sound, everyone saw several wooden houses scattered among the tall trees. Staircases made of vines connected the wooden houses to the ground, and the houses were covered with leaves. The roofs were covered with several large leaves, making the entire wooden house blend into the forest.

"I wonder if the shopkeeper offers cabins? Staying in a cabin for a night would be the life of a god!"

The group secretly resolved to keep a close eye on the inn's updates and to grab a cabin as soon as it became available.

As dusk fell and the sun set, the entire garden suddenly lit up with colorful lights. Bathed in these lights, the garden took on a magical quality.

The garden wasn't large, but everyone lingered there until the closing time was announced, at which point they reluctantly left.
