Chapter 20: The True Upgrade Creates a Small World

"Impressive!" Yang Shen blinked. "What would happen if we put a living creature in there?"

He glanced at the group of people in the distance who were still counting steel needles, but quickly dismissed the idea. Those were his sources of experience; he couldn't afford to act recklessly.

"Try it on an animal."

Yang Shen stood up, left the underground parking lot, and walked away into the distance.

This time, being even stronger, he was bolder and daring, striding forward while spreading his spiritual power, looking around and listening to all directions, searching for animals.

"howl……"

Soon, Yang Shen walked more than 300 meters when an infected person wandering on the road ahead spotted him and immediately pounced on him with a howl.

"Bang!"

Yang Shen raised his hand and fired a shot, blowing the infected person's head off.

"Infected people won't work; they're too big and they're not rational."

Yang Shen continued walking forward.

"Gah..."

Suddenly, a piercing scream rang out, and a black afterimage descended from the sky, striking towards Yang Shen's head.

"Bang!"

Almost reflexively, Yang Shen raised his hand and fired a shot at the top of his head, while simultaneously looking up.

A crow the size of an eagle was blown apart in mid-air, its black feathers mixed with crimson blood, flesh, and bone fragments flying everywhere.

"An evolved crow?"

Yang Shen was secretly surprised. That crow must have weighed several tens of kilograms, right?

An ordinary person would probably have no chance against such a crow. Judging from the speed at which the crow attacked him, an ordinary person would probably not even be able to see it clearly and would not be able to react at all.

"Gah..."

The cawing of crows came again from afar, and soon two smaller crows appeared in sight. Upon seeing Yang Shen, they transformed into two black streaks and descended from the sky.

Without hesitation, Yang Shen fired another shot, blowing the one in front of him up in mid-air.

At the same time, he swiftly put away the steel needle pistol, and his arm flashed out like a blur, instantly catching the second crow that fell from the sky.
