Chapter 123 Blue Star People

Chapter 123 Blue Star People

Just as she was about to move her foot, Zhou Zhi patted her shoulder and said, "Don't move."

Who's that over there?

Why did she have that feeling? It wasn't normal. Her intuition told her that there was something special in that person's tomb, and for a moment she even had the urge to go and take a look. But Zhou Zhi's reminder brought her back to her senses.

“My aunt, Zhou Su.” Zhou Zhi’s tone was very calm at this moment, which was completely different from usual.

Zhou Jiu had no recollection of it; she had never heard of the name before. However, when she first met the chief engineer, she heard him mention a name: Su Su.

She thought that Su Su was her mother. Was this Su Su the same Su Su the chief engineer was talking about?

Zhou Jiu was puzzled and curious about many things, but she knew that this was not a good time to ask them. Moreover, if her past memories were inaccurate, then they were not trustworthy to her.

After staring at the tomb for a while, Zhou Jiu looked away and said, "Let's go back."

"So fast?"

Zhou Jiu looked back at him, and Zhou Zhi was looking at her with a look of expectation in his eyes.

Zhou Jiu blinked. "If we're not going back, what are we doing here?"

Does Zhou Zhi want her to do something?

"Alright then." Zhou Zhi shrugged.

Zhou Jiu took one last look at the tomb, then looked away and followed Zhou Zhi.

The journey back was smooth, and Zhou Jiu climbed back up using his mech.

The monitor indicated that there were people on the cliff, but Zhou Jiu quickly chose to follow Zhou Zhi's footsteps.

"Chief, you actually led outsiders into the forbidden area."

"Why are you here?" Zhou Zhi asked.

Zhou Jiu stood behind and watched as the two started arguing again.

Given Zhou Zhi's abilities, it's impossible that he didn't sense someone at Yai Shan. Moreover, Zhou Jiu felt that if Zhou Zhi wanted to avoid it, he could have, but he didn't.

"What does he or they want to do?" Zhou Jiu pondered.

“Chief, her identity hasn’t been verified yet, how could you bring her here?” Zhou Yu stood in front of the two.

"The chief engineer said she's from Earth."

"But the chief engineer didn't tell you to bring her here. I'm sorry, but this forbidden area is under my jurisdiction, and you must accept the punishment."

Zhou Jiu always felt like an outsider here; she felt nothing when she heard them arguing.

"Furthermore, Zhou Jiu must undergo a check-up before accepting punishment. We must rule out the possibility that she is a beast or an energy creature."

"this…"

"Okay." Zhou Jiu accepted calmly, but she didn't understand why, if there was a way to check, she wasn't checked the moment she entered. If she truly had malicious intent, shouldn't she have already done what she was supposed to do by now?

Zhou Yu took out a black eye mask and approached her. Before Zhou Yu could speak, Zhou Jiu opened her arms and closed her eyes.

"You hate me, why?" Zhou Jiu asked.

“She doesn’t hate you, she hates all weak people.” Zhou Zhi laughed, seemingly not worried at all.

Weak? Well, Zhou Jiu hadn't heard that word in a long time, especially not in her.

"I especially hate people who are clearly weak but have absolutely no sense of self-defense."

Zhou Jiu felt that Zhou Yu was very close to her. She smiled but didn't say anything.

Xuan power is strong, but it is not invincible. At least at this moment, if she and Zhou Yu were to engage in a life-or-death battle, the winner would not be certain.

The people of ancient Blue Star came from the battlefield, and coincidentally, so did she.

With her eyes closed, Zhou Jiu didn't use her mental power to explore the path directly. Instead, she analyzed the route in her mind while asking questions.

"What are your plans after this? Will you move to the new Earth, or stay on the old Earth?"

"Move? How can we move? The magnetic field is abnormal, and we can't contact the outside world at all."

“I can contact the outside world, and I already have a solution to the magnetic field energy problem,” Zhou Jiu said.

"What did you say?" Zhou Zhi's tone became more anxious. "You can really contact the outside world?"

"What did you say?" Zhou Yu asked quickly.

Hearing the anxious tone of the two, Zhou Jiu gently moved his hand, sensing the side, touched Zhou Yu's sleeve, and then quietly returned to his original position.

“With traditional communication methods, I sent the signal a few days ago, and the recipient should have already deciphered the content.”

"Go find the chief engineer, and then do the genetic testing," Zhou Zhi made a decisive decision.

“No, you go find the chief engineer. I’ll take Zhou Jiu to get tested; the testing is necessary,” Zhou Yu said, adding, “You know that.”

"Okay, then be careful."

Zhou Jiu sensed that Zhou Zhi was far away from here. She closed her eyes and, as Zhou Yu continued walking, extended her mental energy, directly connecting everything around her to her mind.

As expected, Zhou Yu didn't discover anything. If Zhou Zhi were here, she would have been even more cautious and wouldn't have revealed anything at all.

"Don't you want to leave here? Resources are too scarce here, and survival is very difficult," Zhou Jiu asked.

"Ha, you abandoned your homeland. You think those people from the Federation are good people? Your survival was bought with resources from Blue Star. Now, do you think those Federation people will come here?"

“Most of them were also once Earthlings,” Zhou Jiu casually reminded her. Although she had to admit that Zhou Yu, despite not having gone abroad, knew the Federation people very well. Zhou Jiu pondered, was it something the previous generation had told her?

"Don't forget it, you've been away for so long. Now that you're here, how do you feel? Will you still consider this place your home?"

Zhou Jiu remained silent as they walked underground, into a subterranean city of ancient metal, a metal capable of isolating external signals and detection.

“Look, you’ve only been gone for a few years, while they’ve been gone for so many years. Now there’s a distinction, isn’t there? New Blue Star, Ancient Blue Star. So, we are just us.” Zhou Yu didn’t hear Zhou Jiu’s words, so Zhou Jiu also considered the place he used to live as his home.

Zhou Jiu disagreed: "Home is where family is, but there is only one homeland. We will always be people of Blue Star. As long as the culture is passed down, we will always be a whole."

"You're all doing so well, why do you have to come back?" Zhou Yu's tone was tinged with resentment. "The Ancient Blue Star Project went on for so long, and then there was no response at all. Why are you coming back now? Do you think you're saviors?"

Continuing on, Zhou Jiu could clearly feel Zhou Yu leading her in circles, but she withdrew her mental energy, unsure whether the path was naturally like that or if Zhou Yu was manipulating it.

"We're not doing well. I'm not doing well, and neither are the people of New Blue Star. No one is anyone's savior. We're just doing our best to do what we feel we should do."

Zhou Jiu stopped and retorted, "I don't know why you have such a big problem with me, or why you so clearly distinguish between Blue Star people, New Blue Star, and Ancient Blue Star. That's just a distinction made by the federal government for better governance, but you, me, and none of us can think that way."

"Zhou Yu, do you remember me? Do you know Zhou Jiu?" Zhou Jiu's body moved closer and closer to Zhou Yu.
