Chapter 245 Clues Appear
The hovercraft finally stopped.
This is the edge of a jungle. Tall trees block out the sun. The further you look in, the darker and quieter it becomes.
Many people had already jumped down, and a few of them held their knees and vomited. After seeing the instructor take out the light computer to record the movements, they forced themselves to stand up straight.
No one wants to kneel down before even starting to run.
"The assessment location is right here. I have a few things to note here. For the sake of your lives, listen carefully!" The instructor began to speak with a cold face.
“First, teams cannot collaborate.”
"Second, deciphering the code means passing the test."
"Third, don't try to do something petty that could get you court-martialed."
"Fourth, there are obstacles in the jungle, and the instructors will do everything they can to prevent you from completing your mission."
"I'll emphasize again, the assessment is not 100% safe, don't seek death yourself."
After the instructor finished speaking, he went to set up the scene on his own.
The students' legs began to weaken as they watched them leave, and they couldn't help but talk to each other.
"What did I hear? He said don't seek death?"
"He said the instructor would stop us. How?"
"Don't panic, there are so many of us, and there are only a few dozen instructors. We can't take care of them all."
"Not panicking? How can we not panic? The instructor alone beat three of our classes. This time, some casualties are allowed."
"Don't scare yourself. We were under surveillance the entire time. Casualties only occurred when we had no other choice. Besides, can't we just give up and ask for help?"
"That's right, let's take a look at the equipment first."
Speaking of equipment, I almost cried. I was just unarmed.
Apart from the bags they brought with them, they were not even given any weapons. What is going on? What if they encounter ferocious wild beasts?
Many people glanced at Yun Mo. Although Yun was not very capable overall, she was smart and most importantly, she represented good luck.
Liu Yueban led the team to move to the side. Huo Chuan's mouth twitched, and he hesitated for a while. The best position was gone.
No collaboration allowed?
Yun Mo touched the handle of the pot sticking out of her backpack, and immediately thought of Liu Bei's kingdom. She wanted to cry... It would be difficult to open a business.
The teams were already waiting at different entrances.
The students who were still queuing tried to get information from the instructor, such as deciphering instructions and related vocabulary, but all of them were perfunctorily answered.
Yun Mo and the other four moved forward in the designated direction.
There is no clue as to what to decipher or how to decipher it. The only valuable thing is the deciphering machine in Yun Mo's hand.
"I never thought that I would be on the same team with you."
Chen Ping greeted Yun Mo, but it was just a symbolic greeting. In his heart, he kept enough safe distance for himself.
"It's fate." Yun Mo looked at him with a smile.
"What do you think about this mission?" Chen Ping asked.
"Not yet, what about you?" Yun Mo asked politely.
Chen Ping's eyes flickered. This man's reaction was quite different from what was discussed within the Jiuxiao Society. He didn't seem so stubborn. Was he putting on an act?
"Hey, Mr. Yun, where are we going?" Dai Qiulin rushed up from the end of the team and asked naturally.
No one assigned positions to the team, but Dai Qiulin and Zheng Mengmeng definitely listened to Yun Mo.
The remaining two people, one is Chen Ping who has ulterior motives.
The other was Lu Zhenen. He was a loner, rarely socializing with anyone and never joining any clubs. He had only been on the same team with Yunmo during the Qingtong Fort battle, so they'd had some contact.
Yun Mo raised her hand and looked at the map. The light indicated that they had arrived at the starting point of the assessment.
Lu Zhenen bent down slightly, parted the grass, his nostrils flared, and his eyes scanned the hidden places.
"What are you looking for?" Chen Ping followed him, a little curious.
"Looking for clues," Lu Zhenen replied briefly.
"Will there be clues? Will the clues be in the grass?" Chen Ping didn't quite believe it.
"there!"
Lu Zhenen took a big step forward, and when he arrived under a tree, Yun Mo followed with her toes.
Their eyes met in mid-air.
Lu Zhenen narrowed his eyes. This girl was really not simple.
He was able to find it because he came from Hamo, a garbage planet, and he developed this ability by searching for things in garbage dumps over the years.
This girl actually managed to find it? Is she really as blessed as the rumors say?
Before my eyes was a text message: "9 o'clock direction, full speed wind force 3, humidity 40%, haze, ammunition tube damaged, what data should the Styx mecha's built-in UPM be adjusted to to hit a target a thousand meters away..."
Zheng Mengmeng stepped back, touching her chest. "Is this a clue? Do you think I'm giving you a clue and trying to play a brain teaser with it?"
They had all used the Styx, but shooting depended entirely on experience. This was clearly a mecha theory test for them.
Yun Mo didn't say anything. After looking for a while, she turned and went to another corner to investigate.
Lu Zhenen called up his optical computer, squatted on the spot and calculated quickly. After half an hour, he breathed a sigh of relief, "DB25 degree direction"
Chen Ping looked at Yun Mo in the distance and called out, "Yun Mo, Lu Zhenen has figured it out. Did you gain anything?"
After hearing his words, Lu Zhenen felt relieved.
Yunmo walked back, "Direction DB25".
Lu Zhenen's face looked a little ugly and uncomfortable.
His background as a garbage star is a thorn in his side that he hides deep inside.
His cold expression concealed two very contradictory emotions: self-esteem and inferiority.
He is very outstanding, but his sensitivity makes him subconsciously compare himself with others.
I've been busy for over half an hour, but he already knew it. Do I have to watch him perform? Watch him perform monkey tricks?
Chen Ping smiled, "Hey, Yunmo, when did you figure this out? It's the same answer as Lu Zhenen's."
"Oh? This is also your answer? Then it seems to be correct," Yun Mo had already seen that he wanted to provoke her.
Dai Qiulin was a little anxious. Couldn't Commander Yun see that Lu Zhenen's face had turned cold? He should have figured it out earlier. Anyone would be unhappy.
Before he could say anything, Yun Mo pointed to the place where she had just returned, "Lu Zhenen, do you want to go check it out? Let me calculate this for you. It's best to be cautious in taking the first step. Let's verify each other?"
Lu Zhenen was stunned. What does that mean?
"There's a message over there, too. It looks like a code. I figured out the answer is DB25 degrees. It looks like the instructor didn't want to make things too difficult for us."
Lu Zhenen finally breathed a sigh of relief. Sure enough, that was...
"Let's go, it looks like this direction is along the river," Yun Mo said, continuing to walk forward with his backpack on his back.
After this little episode, the five people were able to chat again.
Dai Qiulin was a bit talkative and followed Zheng Mengmeng a few steps behind. "This is really amazing. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to find the direction tomorrow..."
Zheng Mengmeng didn't say anything, obviously not interested in this topic.
