Chapter 12. One hour later...

Chapter 12. One hour later...

An hour later.

Ji Qian, who had just woken up, sat up from her arms, still feeling a little dazed.

Seeing that the alpha had fallen asleep, Ji Qian looked away from her and pulled her hand off her waist.

He carefully climbed out of bed, and then, afraid of waking people up, went into the bathroom.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I noticed that my collar seemed to be a little wrinkled.

He tilted his head, trying to see the back of his neck, but couldn't see anything at all.

Thinking about being kissed and nibbled by the alpha, Ji Qian took out a wet wipe from her bag, wiped the back of her neck, and then took out a suppressant patch and applied it.

He tidied his hair, trying to make his clothes neater, at least to reduce the number of wrinkles.

He took out the hand that the alpha had given him from his bag, took a few sips, and then closed it again.

He picked up his coat from the foot of the bed, slowly put it on, and seeing that he still had half an hour, he wasn't in a hurry.

The alpha on the bed opened his eyes, sat up, and looked up at the omega who was bending over to put on his shoes, with his back to him.

Jiang Shi got off the bed, straightened up the omega who had been bending over, and stared at her silently.

He looked exactly the same as before, old-fashioned, wearing thick black-rimmed glasses, and his coat covered him completely.

Only the chafed skin at the corner of his mouth and the moisture at the corner of his eyes hinted at what had just happened not long ago.

What are you doing getting up?

Jiang Shi put on his shoes. "I'll take you to school. What time do you get off work this afternoon?"

Ji Qian was still thinking about what she had done not long ago, so she didn't dare to let her come and pick her up.

"I'll go back by myself. I have a meeting this afternoon." Ji Qian's voice was a little hoarse, with a hint of evasion and avoidance.

The room was not bright, even dim, and the expression of the omega standing there could not be seen clearly.

It was as if he had just slept with his mistress and was trying to cover it up, wanting to leave in a hurry so that others wouldn't find out.

His lips were also a little red, and his body was completely covered by his clothes, making him look ashen.

"That won't work."

Ji Qian felt inexplicably angry upon hearing this, and stood there stiffly, staring at her incredulously.

I don't know why she said that.

Alpha got up and took the car keys.

Ji Qian followed behind her, watching the door behind her close, and stood in the corridor, looking at the front and back of the corridor.

Nobody's here.

Once inside the elevator, Ji Qian realized that the space wasn't very large, and the privacy was excellent.

Ji Qian had no idea where she had found this hotel; even the elevator was so dilapidated and the corridors so narrow.

The bedroom they booked only had a bed and a bathroom; there was nothing else.

As soon as I got off the elevator, a couple came over, hugging and cuddling.

Ji Qian was stunned for a moment, then made way for someone else and was pulled outside the elevator by the alpha.

What kind of hotel is this?

"Don't you know, Teacher Ji? The students at your school are already adults," Jiang Shi said in a low voice.

"What do you think they're doing at the hotel? And what kind of hotel is this?"

As Jiang Shi spoke, he put his arm around his waist and left through the corridor. Holding his waist and hand, he handed over the room key and then half-pushed him away.

Back in the parking lot, Ji Qian bit her lip, sat in the passenger seat, and turned her face away from everyone.

"Should we go back to where we started? Or should I take you to the teaching building?"

"The original place."

Alpha drove to the vicinity of the school, then drove in and parked near that building.

What time do you get off work this afternoon?

Five o'clock.

Seeing that he didn't make any excuses, saying he had a meeting or class, Jiang Shi stopped asking.

What do you like to eat for dinner?

Ji Qian was questioned again. He leaned back, his gaze fixed on the outside of the car window. When the car approached the vicinity of his workplace, he told her to stop.

"I'm fine with anything." He's not picky about food.

Ji Qian got out of the car, glanced at the people inside, and said, "You go back first, I have to go to class."

"OK."

As Ji Qian entered the building, Jiang Shi drove away from the school.

It is indeed close to my accommodation, only three or four kilometers away. It's not a peak traffic time either, and the round trip takes only half an hour.

Her phone vibrated; the person in charge of the neighborhood was asking when she would be back.

It's only been open for a day and a half, why are you urging us to hurry up again?

Jiang Shi drove the car into the residential area and even stopped in front of the person in charge.

"What do you want from me?" she asked.

The person in charge was somewhat surprised, looking at the car and then at Jiang Shi, who was driving.

"You did that? Is this why you took leave?"

"Didn't you tell me to be more flexible? Don't tell those colleagues, I have to come back to work." Jiang Shi asked, "What do you want with me? It's only been a day and a half."

"Someone came looking for you. They've been looking for you at work." The person in charge smiled awkwardly. "It's the resident on the fourteenth floor of Building 2. He said he has something to discuss with you."

The person in charge stared at Jiang Shi's face. He didn't look poor or unkempt at all. It wasn't surprising that he was being targeted by those rich omegas.

Who can blame her? She's young, and at that perfect age, the kind of age that's popular with omegas.

"Really? If there's a problem with his house, or he needs something delivered, isn't there a delivery service in the community? He's paid his property management fees. I'm just a security guard at the gate. These kinds of things aren't my responsibility. What could he possibly need me for? Don't joke around." Jiang Shi said, somewhat puzzled.

Jiang Shi pretended to be unaware, and the person in charge simply continued talking about the next two days, "Then remember to come to work the day after tomorrow."

"I see."

After the car drove away, Yao Nan stared at the rear of the car with a strange expression, wondering when Jiang Shi had finally come to his senses.

In the past few years, he acted as if he didn't understand and refused no matter what.

Why did you agree to it this year? Are you really out of money?

"Manager Yao, who were you talking to just now?" a patrolling security guard asked as he walked over. "Which building's resident was that?"

"Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask. Keep patrolling and don't let anyone sneak in. Pick up any trash you see," Yao Nan said.

After the security guard left, Yao Nan lowered his head and sent a message to the residents about Jiang Shi, telling them that she was being kept by another omega.

There are only a few of those cars in the entire community, and they are very expensive. Besides the seventh floor of Building 3, there are also a few people in Building 5 and Building 2.

Jiang Shi was heading towards the underground parking garage of Building 3, and was definitely being kept by the owner of the seventh floor of Building 3.

Even though it's almost 3 p.m., the sun isn't particularly glaring, but it's still so hot that you can't stand for more than a few minutes.

It's the end of September now, and the temperature still hasn't dropped.

When I arrived at the underground parking garage, it suddenly felt cold.

Jiang Shi got out of the car and went straight to the elevator.

I didn't encounter any omegas.

Jiang Shi looked at the urging message from the government on her phone; there was only one year left before they would release her a highly compatible omega.

This information started two years ago, but Jiang Shi didn't take it seriously and didn't want to date an omega. After all, dating an omega would definitely make life less carefree than before.

But things are different now; there's still a year left. A year to find an omega and marry him seems far too difficult.

She works in this neighborhood, so where would she find the time to look for other omegas? Almost all the omegas in this neighborhood are married, and even those who aren't are rich and powerful. Obviously, she has to look elsewhere.

Jiang Shi turned off his phone and pondered what to do.

It seems Ji Qian won't be keeping her as a mistress for long.

What did she do? It was just a kiss and a hug, and she reacted so strongly, as if she didn't like those actions.

Whether it's fake or not, Jiang Shi can't figure it out by guessing. He has to find a way out and can't just take the initiative to break off the relationship.

Jiang Shi couldn't understand what those rich people were thinking. They wanted to keep her as a mistress, but they didn't do anything for her. When she took the initiative to do something, the omega would both resist and obediently let her kiss him, without much struggle.

Jiang Shi had only been keeping her as a sugar daddy for a few days, so he put those thoughts aside. He had at least a month to go, so there was no need to rush into thinking about whether to continue or not.

Is there still half a month left in my heat cycle?

Jiang Shi touched the back of her neck; her period of high susceptibility had only just passed a few days ago.

...

at night.

After taking a shower, Ji Qian walked into the living room in her white silk pajamas. The pajamas slipped down, revealing her neck and the faint outline of her collarbone.

He sat on the sofa, still damp and soft from his shower.

He looked up at the closed side bedroom, where the alpha seemed to have not come out.

Are you still taking a shower?

Ji Qian propped herself up on her hands, looking at the TV that was on. Most of her slightly damp hair had fallen from her waist and was hanging down in front of her, covering her collarbone and neck.

His bones seemed to have softened from being soaked in water; he leaned there, his beautiful body going limp, and his clothes clinging softly to his body.

What is she doing?

Ji Qian pondered, wondering what to do a few months from now.

I have to go on blind dates with the government at the end of the year.

Maybe before the end of the year, just like my father said, he'll give him a month and then arrange his engagement.

He is the same alpha from the Shen family. The Shen family only has one alpha, there is no doubt about it, he is completely the heir of the Shen family.

The Ji family and the Shen family are a good match, and the Shen family is even better than his family. In recent years, they have even been suppressing his family.

He lives with his uncle's child, who is also an omega. Ji He is two years younger than him and works at the Ji family's company. She is not yet of marriageable age.

But isn't that Shen family member already over 25? Although the government doesn't force matching, and connections can help him avoid it, his father obviously won't use connections to help him avoid it.

She couldn't wait for him to marry her off, saying that he always looked lifeless when he went back every year, so it would be better for him to marry someone and let the alpha take good care of him.

Ji Qian leaned back, tilting her neck slightly to reveal a small section of her delicate and smooth skin. Her emerald eyes were still glistening, and her face was flushed.

He was breathing, his chest rising and falling noticeably, his eyelashes trembling slightly, and his lips opening and closing repeatedly.

What should we do?

How can we persuade Jiang Shi?

Hearing the door open, Ji Qian looked over and saw the alpha come out wearing only a tank top, turning his face away from her. She subconsciously felt a little hot.

She doesn't live alone, so why doesn't she ever try to hide herself?

Jiang Shi saw the omega sitting in the living room. Seeing that he hadn't retreated to the bedroom like yesterday, he sensibly sat down next to him.

This omega was definitely faking it.

Isn't it just sitting here waiting for her?

Yesterday at this time, they didn't come out at all, just stayed inside. They were reluctant to open the door when someone brought them milk, and even said they didn't like it.

When she carried the person inside last night, she saw several glass bottles of milk on the table.

The sofa sank in, and the omega sitting there instinctively wanted to move his body.

His fingers were curled up, his lips were tightly pursed, and the corners of his eyes were red.
