Chapter 9. The car was parked at the school gate...
After parking the car at the school gate, we didn't go inside.
Ji Qian didn't know why she had followed her, so she stopped on the road outside the school and waited for her to speak.
"You may go now. I will come to pick you up at noon."
He paused for a moment, then lowered his eyes to reach for his bag.
There's also the insulated box that's placed there.
The car keys were with her too. Ji Qian took her things and was about to get out of the car when her arm was grabbed.
"I feel embarrassed about what happened last night, but it was something I should do. I hope you don't mind."
His face suddenly felt hot, and he subconsciously glared at her.
His body was pulled a little closer, and his hands braced against the recessed area where the cup was placed.
"You don't say anything, it seems you don't mind what happened last night. This is my first time being someone's mistress, I don't know how to serve a sugar daddy like you. You can tell me directly next time."
The use of "you" and "you" was like a deliberate reminder of the current situation and what he was doing.
They don't speak properly.
Ji Qian only knew the difference between such words and flirting.
He bit his lip without saying a word, pulled her hand away, grabbed his bag, and got out of the car.
The car door closed, and Jiang Shi, who was sitting there, stood there stunned, with a strange look on his face.
That's strange.
Jiang Shi thought about it and realized that her actions just now weren't wrong. Wasn't that exactly what she had been investigating at night?
The more serious someone appears on the surface, the more they crave excitement; it brings them greater pleasure.
Jiang Shi leaned against the car, rolled down the window, and watched the omega walk around the car to enter the school. "What time do I need to come over at noon?"
He ignored her words as if he didn't know her and went straight into the school.
Jiang Shi's phone also rang; it was a message from the online self-service platform.
Special talent channel for those aged 18 to 25.
But isn't life expectancy quite long these days?
Jiang Shi saw that the person had entered the school, so he simply opened the car door and got out.
There didn't seem to be many students in the morning, just a few scattered around, whereas there are usually more students at this time of day in the school.
University?
By this time, the sun was already very strong, and there was no coolness that should have been there in the morning; instead, it was so bright that it hurt the eyes.
Isn't he hot wearing so many clothes?
Jiang Shi walked to the driver's seat and headed directly towards the government building.
Alpha adapted to this identity completely, and this identity did not give her the humiliation of being manipulated or forced to bow her head that she had imagined.
Jiang Shi had seen it before; in the neighborhood, an alpha was being beaten by an omega with his head down, too afraid to look up, and was even hitting him with money.
Sometimes it's not about being humiliated; people who are so afraid of poverty that they give up completely and don't care anymore. But when you still have dignity, it's unacceptable to beg for money from others and be treated like a beggar.
Seeing that one glance, Jiang Shi realized that he had to bow his head under someone else's roof and couldn't even raise his voice. He had to admit that this kind of money was rightfully earned by those alphas.
At least she can't kneel down and let people step on her, and then bark like a dog.
Upon arriving at the city's central government building, Jiang Shi parked the car and walked inside.
Jiang Shi's appearance is alluring and mature, with strikingly handsome features. His bare arms, revealing thin, white skin, appear somewhat erotic from being covered up.
Although the vest was somewhat out of place, it didn't really have any impact.
"Fill out a form. Are you an orphan?"
"right."
"Didn't the previous welfare homes require you to fill out forms? We need to investigate the family situation."
"No, I have never been to an orphanage."
The staff member heard this and glanced at Alpha's appearance again; he didn't look like an orphan at all.
"Fill out the form truthfully, otherwise your eligibility will be revoked if it is found out."
"After passing the initial tests, you will be notified to come in for physical and mental tests. It will take a while, so you can prepare at your own pace."
Now that there are so many planets, the efficiency of doing things is like that of a tortoise. Without money, you can wait for months without any results.
Not to mention that it's only the beginning of the semester, and even if she passes, she'll have to wait until this time next year.
After Jiang Shi filled out the form and inquired about the general situation, he left the hall.
After buying groceries, Jiang Shi drove to the parking lot, checked his phone, but didn't send her a message.
Are classes already in session at this time?
What does he teach?
As soon as Jiang Shi got out of the car, she found someone guarding her.
"You...you're with that omega, right? You like that kind of omega? How much did he pay you? I can give him double."
Jiang Shi's mind went blank for a moment as he pondered who he was.
She stood there, looking up at his face. "Are you a resident on the fourth floor?"
Her tone was somewhat unfamiliar, tinged with uncertainty.
He choked, and his face turned green.
“It’s not about money.” Jiang Shi walked to the elevator door. “We’re not that close, are we? I only delivered daily necessities to your door once last month.”
He didn't pester her as many times as he had before, telling Rorschach he wanted to divorce his wife and marry her.
At least that guy would contact her every day, saying how pitiful he was, and sending her money all the time.
Jiang Shi didn't dare accept it; wouldn't accepting it be tantamount to acquiescing?
They even changed their phone number, using one to contact the homeowner and the other as their regular phone number.
At least your phone won't be accidentally taken by someone else, and when you open it, you'll find it full of messages from various homeowners, with each message indicating that your red envelope has not yet been claimed.
Isn't this just teasing people? What's the difference between this and a mold?
Jiang Shi pressed the elevator button.
The elevator doors opened quickly, and Alpha stepped inside without saying a word.
She was carrying the bag in her hand, and only felt relieved after making sure there was no leakage.
The elevator doors closed, and Jiang Shi arrived at the seventh floor.
She saw the get out of class dismissal time sent to her phone, and then looked at the messages sent to her by other homeowners. She simply turned off her phone and went inside.
It's still early; we have two or three hours left.
Jiang Shi put his things away, then went back to his room to take a shower and change into similar clothes.
The room was always air-conditioned, completely different from the outside.
Inside the school.
Ji Qian returned to her office after class, sat down to rest, and didn't look at her phone.
"Don't you have class? Let's go eat together later," said the omega next to me.
Ji Qian hesitated for a moment, then shook her head. "Someone will come looking for me later."
Ji Qian lowered her eyes and tidied her hair. Her gaze slowly fell on the desk, where she saw herself in the mirror and her tightly wrapped neckline.
"Who's coming to see you? Are you going on another blind date?"
Ji Qian didn't know what to say, and Jiang Shi didn't seem to be coming just once, so she vaguely said, "He is... my alpha."
The people around were clearly surprised. "Really? You found someone so quickly? Did you meet them through a blind date?"
Ji Qian awkwardly curled her fingers. "No."
Ji Qian leaned back in her office chair, her hair piled up on her shoulders.
There aren't many students in this major, only about ten teachers, who teach it back and forth.
So the office isn't very big; your colleagues are at the back and on the left and right.
"Don't you go straight home after get off work every day?"
Ji Qian replied vaguely, "It's hard to say."
He was a little tired, drawing and explaining for two hours straight, with only a ten-minute break in between to drink some water and rest.
“Then I’ll stay a little longer and see what your alpha looks like.” The omega who spoke sized up Ji Qian’s attire, which was completely different from the other teachers. The alpha he found, or the alpha who was attracted to him, must be similar to him.
Is he also a teacher?
Ji Qian remained silent, simply drinking water and looking down at her phone, before sending him a series of photos and her resume.
He already said he's found someone, so why is he being asked to go on blind dates?
Ji Qian ignored her father's behavior, but when she saw that the alpha only sent a single "good" message, she thought of what happened last night.
They were also very unreasonable this morning.
If things continue like this, the alpha will definitely mark him one day.
Ji Qian exhaled and leaned against the wall to rest, doing nothing.
Ji Qian didn't care what her colleagues thought; they only had some work-related interactions and had only been at the school for two months.
Aside from the possibility of being invited to lunch together or being directly asked why he wanted to work at the school.
His blind dates couldn't be kept secret any longer, and soon everyone in the office knew he couldn't find an alpha.
Occasionally, people would give him advice, telling him to change his appearance.
But what's the use? He's practically been pickled in these clothes, so he's no longer suited to wearing anything else. He also doesn't like exposing parts of his body, as it makes him very uncomfortable, and he instinctively wants to put on a coat.
At noon, the omega waiting next to Ji Qian could ask why his alpha hadn't arrived yet.
"I don't know." Ji Qian's voice was somewhat flat.
“We need to urge your alpha. It’s already 12 o’clock, why isn’t he here yet? Alphas need to be managed, otherwise how could you possibly control them after marriage? Alphas are different from us. If they cheat on us and mark other omegas, there’s nothing we can do about it,” Lu Ming said.
"My previous alpha, under the guise of mutual trust, went behind my back to find other omegas. I could smell other pheromones as soon as I got close, and that scumbag actually said it was perfume."
"A breakup will affect me for two months, and I can only find another alpha to relieve my heat after two months. Heat is not easy to get through, those two months were torture for me."
Lu Ming thought about it and then advised him, "Don't hang on to one alpha. Before you're permanently marked, you'll have to enjoy the service of other alphas. What if the alpha you're with is boring? How will you live like that?"
Ji Qian seems like someone who doesn't know how to talk, and her daily attire is reserved and old-fashioned. If she finds an alpha who is just like her, one can imagine how boring their life would be.
Ji Qian couldn't accept these words from him.
What about the other alphas? Are they supposed to be hugged and kissed by so many alphas?
Ji Qian remained silent, only looking down at the messages on her phone and Lu Ming, who was planning to leave, without uttering a sound.
It's better that he didn't see it. With Jiang Shi's attire, Lu Ming might become suspicious.
If people find out that he paid an alpha to marry him, he'll lose all face.
With only him left in the office, Ji Qian sat there waiting for a while, estimating when he would arrive, before getting up, picking up her bag, and leaving the office.
Ji Qian thought to herself, "Next time I'll just go home. Why do I have to stay at school?"
