Chapter 66 "No!" He refused...
“No!” he refused.
Three years or a few hours, can't he tell which one to choose? She's thriving over there, with so many omegas watching her, while here it's just a few from the company.
She paused, then hugged the omega in her arms with a strange expression. "Why?"
Wouldn't it be better to go back? Isn't it supposed to be that such a thing wouldn't happen?
Ji Qian kept a cold face and stopped crying.
He didn't speak, and Jiang Shi just continued to rub his lower back, moved him so that he could bend his calves, rubbed his thighs, and slowly thought.
Ji Qian nestled in her arms, resting her head on her shoulder, her body slowly softening, her hands also resting on her neck.
After about ten minutes, he suddenly said, "I'm going to give birth now, and I'll be going to the hospital in a few days. You don't need to go to the company."
"Um."
Ji Qian's anger subsided a little, but she was still annoyed that her sister had led her astray, drinking and smoking whatever she wanted. She had told the alphas not to have omegas around them, but there were two or three of them in the group.
It should have been normal, but this kind of thing just had to happen. She can't even manage her own household properly, and he had already given her instructions, yet she still acted like this.
Jiang Shi gave a perfunctory reply. Seeing that he didn't speak, he unbuttoned the collar of the man's shirt and then unbuttoned the undershirt he was wearing. The skin there became slightly transparent and the undershirt was damp.
Ji Qian was annoyed and hurriedly raised her hand to cover her mouth, then closed her own clothes. Even though they were arguing, she always did this.
He turned his face away. "I'm hungry."
Jiang Shi stared at that spot, then slowly released the person in his arms and got up to cook for him.
He doesn't eat properly in the afternoon; he keeps some easily digestible foods in the refrigerator for dinner.
Ji Qian was left alone in the living room. He slowly leaned back on the sofa, supporting his belly, no longer having the energy to argue.
He began to casually look around the living room. There was only a carpet on the floor, no coffee table, and it was very spacious. Apart from the necessities, there was nothing else.
There's a portable TV in the living room, and a folded-up yoga mat on the balcony.
He slowly got up and walked to the dining table only after he could smell the aroma coming from the kitchen.
The food was served, but it had only been briefly heated up.
He lowered his head and ate his food in small bites, and because he had no energy, he couldn't maintain any expression on his face.
Jiang Shi made a glass of juice, sat down next to him, and asked, "Are you looking for someone to take care of the child at night?"
“But isn’t there only one room in the house?” he asked in a low voice.
He was unwilling to hire someone to take care of the child, and the child drank formula at night.
"Why not just tidy up one room?"
He paused for a moment, then shook his head. "No, we'll talk about it later."
Although he did need someone to take care of him at night, he was somewhat reluctant to have someone in the house.
Should I look for a beta or an omega? Will the child not be affectionate towards him?
After finishing his meal, he went to the bathroom to wash up; it was already 10 p.m.
He dawdled on the edge of the bed, then slowly moved to get on, leaning against the alpha so she could massage his back.
"So when do you plan to take leave?" he asked.
"Tomorrow."
He then became happy and gently tilted his head back to nuzzle against her.
Jiang Shi rubbed his waist, pulled him into his arms, and buried his head in his neck to smell him.
The person in my arms is very honest, and should be honest too.
Jiang Shi rubbed the back of his neck, kissed his glands, and then moved his head up to kiss his lips.
"Jiang Shi..." he whispered, "Have you thought of a name yet?"
"Didn't I tell you to think about it?"
She looked down at the panting omega in her arms, supporting his slightly swollen belly, "If you ask me, you can't complain."
He paused, then said, "I'll tell you after the baby is born."
Ji Qian looked up at her, his lips, which were a little too red, pursed slightly. He simply picked up her hand and moved it to his collarbone, opening his collar a little.
He kissed her tenderly, his eyes glistening with tears, "You're not angry, are you?"
"No."
Under the dim yellow light, Jiang Shi looked down at the collar he had ripped open, unconsciously rubbing his palm. Noticing that the other man trembled slightly, he gave him a perfunctory kiss on the cheek.
She lowered her head, supporting his waist and belly, burying her face in his collarbone, and nibbling at his soft skin.
"Gently..." He hugged the alpha's neck, his body trembling slightly, a hint of shame in his emerald eyes.
After arguing during the day, we can only stop at night. After all, we're going to sleep in the same bed; we can't just sleep separately.
Hearing the alpha swallow, and feeling the hot air being sprayed, Ji Qian gripped the alpha's hair and let out a soft sob.
It's as if she's entered the labor phase; her collarbone is slowly swelling up, waiting for the baby to be born and fed.
The colostrum was gone long ago, and now only milky white fluid is flowing out.
Seeing that part, whether it grew a little during pregnancy or was nibbled and kneaded by the alpha, was simply too wanton.
Right now, this is the only thing I can do to appease her, at least to avoid a real argument.
The alpha's hasty actions made him frown slightly. His collarbone was a little sore from being bitten. He said anxiously and aggrievedly, "Don't do this."
She loosened her grip slightly, her lips still wet with milk, and kissed him, feeding him the milk in her mouth. "Isn't this how it will be after the baby is born? I'm just helping you get used to it in advance."
He held the milk in his mouth, unsure whether to swallow or spit it out, his emerald eyes glaring at her with annoyance.
"Why are you complaining about yourself? Is it good?"
She buried her face in his neck, gently rubbing his back, her eyes fixed on his glands.
Ji Qian swallowed it, her cheeks flushed, her mouth filled with the taste of her own pheromones.
He nudged the alpha who was hugging him and said, feeling wronged, "Let's go to sleep."
The lights in the room went out, and Ji Qian laboriously lay down facing the alpha, touching her arm with her fingers.
How many more days until the baby is born? This is so troublesome. He can't cause trouble even if he wants to; a slight bump or knock could cause problems.
Sleeping at night is also troublesome; he can't turn over and has to ask the alpha for help.
...
On the fifth day after entering the hospital, Ji Qian was helped by Alpha to go for a walk in the park, and her water broke on the way back.
His stomach suddenly felt heavy, as if it were about to press down. As warm liquid soaked his pants, he froze in fear, his green eyes looking at the alpha with panic and unease, not daring to utter a single word.
He dared not look down at the amniotic fluid below, and his abdomen began to contract, which made him so afraid that tears streamed down his face.
Jiang Shi noticed that something was wrong with him, called a nurse, and slowly carried the omega to the delivery room.
"It'll be fine once it's born." The alpha lowered his head and kissed him, comforting him. "If you can't stand it, we'll give you anesthesia. The scar won't matter."
"Hmm..." Ji Qian was a little scared, her fingers gripping her arm tightly, and she started to feel waves of abdominal pain, her stomach feeling heavy.
Jiang Shi was ushered out by the nurses and doctors who came over. Ji Qian, who was standing there, looked around the room in a panic. The nurse next to him helped him up and started to dilate his cervix.
"It will hurt a bit, so save your strength for the operating table and don't make a sound," the nurse whispered in his ear. "Don't be afraid of anything, it will only hurt for a while, and then it will pass quickly."
The birthing time is not long, only two or three hours, as omega's body is naturally suited to nurturing children.
As Ji Qian was wheeled into the operating room, her hair was damp and stuck to her forehead, and her lips were bitten until they bled.
The babbling that came from the pain gradually grew louder, and the people around him told him not to be so loud, lest he run out of strength.
He was in so much pain that he was somewhat delirious, and all he could hear in his mind was the doctor's voice.
Around 1 p.m.
Inside the ward.
Ji's father changed the baby's clothes and then followed the doctor to take the child for a physical examination.
The omega lay limp on the bed, still recovering from the pain, his eyes somewhat unfocused.
As he was being wiped down, his fingers gently rested on the alpha's arm, and he whispered, "Your stomach is stretched."
My belly has shrunk a lot, but the stretch marks are still visible.
"Still thinking about these things?" Jiang Shi gently rubbed his fingers. "The doctor said you have to stay in bed for a month before you can go out, understand? Behave yourself at home for this month."
He was stunned for a moment. "You...you're not coming with me?"
He gave birth to her child, and she didn't even stay with him during her postpartum period?
"The two-week holiday is almost over, I have to go back to the company. I've hired someone to take care of you, and I'll come back to be with you after get off work." She stroked his wrist. "Let's not talk about this now, are you hungry?"
She adjusted the bed slightly and ladled the cooked porridge into a bowl. "You can only have porridge for the next few days. When we get home, I'll give you something else to eat."
Ji Qian was still thinking about going to work, and about what she had told her mother. She wondered if the omega had been fired.
For nearly ten days, the alpha stayed with him and didn't go anywhere else. The last time they argued was on the day she took leave.
We haven't argued much these days, but I like to cry occasionally when I get emotional.
He sipped the porridge, which was at the perfect temperature, but he was too weak to speak. His emerald eyes had also dimmed.
When will the baby be delivered?
All he knew was that the child was an omega; he glanced at him and then took him away to be cleaned.
The skin is a bit wrinkled, but that's normal; it will get better after a while.
"You're already thinking about this as soon as I took him away. Have some porridge first." Jiang Shi fed him.
Ji Qian swallowed the porridge in her mouth and didn't say anything more.
Ji Qian didn't get the baby. After finishing her porridge, she said a few words to the alpha and then fell asleep.
Jiang Shi finished packing and watched as the child was brought over by Ji's father and placed next to the omega.
"She fell asleep right after eating," Jiang Shi said. "I'll hold the baby."
She took the child from her father's arms, looked down at the quiet child in her arms, her eyes also emerald green, and said, "Dad, go and rest first. I'll take care of things here."
Father Ji paused for a moment, looked at the person on the bed, and then got up and left.
Jiang Shi placed the child next to the omega, unbuttoned his clothes, and let the child lie on his chest and suckle.
Fifteen minutes later, the child was placed next to the omega and fell asleep.
Jiang Shi glanced down at his phone, then put it aside and sat down next to the person.
The omega was completely exhausted, his face was pale, his lips were bitten raw, and his hair was still sticky and damp on his forehead.
I can stay home with him for another five days. He should be able to be discharged tomorrow. He's staying in the hospital for observation today.
Seeing that he wouldn't wake up anytime soon, and that the baby wouldn't be able to eat again for another two hours, Jiang Shi was called out by the nurses to learn how to care for a husband in labor.
