Chapter Fifty-Six: Lessons from Fire

Morian.

Lu Mingming vaguely felt that the name sounded familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before, but she couldn't recall it at all.

Seeing Lu Mingming's expression and noticing that she didn't seem to have any major suspicions, Morian felt relieved and immediately said, "Let's go in. The children have been waiting too long."

Lu Mingming nodded in agreement.

After the little robot finished cleaning, it automatically retreated, and the man took the initiative to push open the classroom door.

The noisy classroom suddenly fell silent. The little ones all turned their heads toward the door, their bright eyes fixed on the man and woman who entered.

Lu Mingming, who usually takes a friendly and approachable approach, now automatically puts on a slightly serious and aloof face.

She and Morian walked to the podium together and saw the entire classroom.

As a renowned academy for the elite, the classrooms appear quite normal at first glance, even resembling those of ordinary kindergartens.

Upon closer inspection, the basic amenities—water dispensers, air conditioning, and individual lockers for each student—are among the most expensive on the market. Some of these brands haven't even released any information yet, but the classrooms are already using them.

Even the green plants responsible for freshening the air and purifying the environment are rare cultivated varieties worth millions in the antique market.

The seats below are scattered, with tables and chairs placed everywhere, including three-way and two-way seating arrangements.

Lu Mingming roughly counted in his mind.

There are six cubs in total, but Ice Cream is not among them.

Seeing this, Lu Mingming leaned over and asked Morian, "Teacher Morian, did you see a little Samoyed come to report for duty today?"

He was prepared for this question.

Morian's expression remained unchanged, still wearing a smile: "I just ran into it on the road; it didn't know the way. The child is resting in the office now."

Oh, I see. It's good that nothing bad happened.

Lu Mingming breathed a sigh of relief.

Morian was the first to introduce himself as the acting homeroom teacher.

The moment he stood in the center of the podium, the children all lowered their heads and continued doing their own things, playing and discussing with each other, collectively ignoring him as if it were commonplace.

There were also extremely quiet chuckles, waiting to see the two teachers make a fool of themselves, showing no regard for the two people on stage.

Lu Mingming felt like her heart was filled with mixed emotions, a jumble of feelings.

Perhaps it was because her two obedient children raised her expectations too high, that she found it hard to accept when those expectations were suddenly shattered.

Even though the little cubs treated him this way, Morian was not angry, and his face still wore the same masked smile as always.

In fact, an invisible spiritual wave slowly spread out from his body, the air was filled with the smell of burning from the scorching fire, the scorching air waves rolled in the air, the fog that had gathered by the window evaporated all at once, and the sunlight finally broke free from the obstruction and shone into the classroom.

In the corner, a little kid tore his workbook to pieces, and folded paper airplanes flew everywhere.

Suddenly, the white paper in his hand caught fire. The child was so frightened that he backed away, and his screams filled the entire classroom. The ashes of the remaining paper drifted in the air.

An invisible wall of fire appeared in the small group that had been discussing and making noise. The furry animals, who were afraid of fire, carefully shrank their bodies, afraid of getting even a little bit of fire on them.

In an instant, all the cubs were confined by the flames and firmly trapped in their seats.

Lu Mingming had not activated her mental power and could not see the blue flames filling the classroom.

But from the inexplicably rising temperature, she knew that Morian must have done something to make the mischievous cubs behave with resentment and fear.

Wow, that's amazing... Is this what mental power is?

Lu Mingming secretly glanced at Morian's profile.

Although the man had a smile on his face, his eyes seemed to hold a millennium-old iceberg, cold and unfathomable.

Upon noticing Lu Mingming's prying eyes, it quickly melted and became incredibly soft.

"What's wrong?"

Startled by Morian's rapid change, she tried to suppress her various thoughts and forced a smile, replying, "It's nothing."

Morian's eyes darkened, and he turned back to continue disciplining the little brat, pretending that nothing had happened.

Seeing his younger brothers trembling with fear of the flames, the chubby, prickly boy was naturally unhappy.

He stepped forward, pointing his finger at Morian's nose and threatening, "Who are you to threaten us? Do you believe I'll have my father arrest you and throw you into the Alliance prison right now, so you can spend the rest of your life in misery!"

Morian's expression remained unchanged as he reached out and firmly enveloped the little boy's hand.

Even though the other person tried hard to break free, she was unable to escape the pressure and restraint imposed by the man.

"Let go! Let go! I am Grey Blue, the second son of Earl Goodfellow!"

The little boy tried desperately to shake off the man's hand, his expression contorted and grotesque.

Morian calmly said, "You can complain to your father. He clearly did something wrong to the teacher but won't admit it. I'll confirm that he's a man without responsibility and accountability, not a real man."

Furthermore, I believe Earl Gudfen taught about the identification of levels of spiritual power. Guess I would be an ordinary teacher? Faced with a highly acclaimed scholar and an ignorant child, who would your father choose?
