The red rope in Xiao Cheng's hand went directly into the mirror on her right, connecting with Fang He inside. Fang He in the other mirrors seemed to be just a reflection, standing there blankly.
"Hey! Can you hear me, Fang He?" Xiao Cheng slapped the mirror hard.
The mirror was covered with a layer of semi-dry transparent glue, which stung and burned her skin, causing small blood spots to appear on her skin.
Fang He in the mirror clearly heard it. He opened his mouth to say something, but no sound came out. Noticing Xiao Cheng's blank expression, he immediately changed his way of communicating.
"You want me to stand still and not move?" Xiao Cheng recognized his gesture.
Fang He nodded, made a gesture to avoid touching the mirror, and then turned his head to look around.
Xiao Cheng waited quietly. After about two or three minutes, Fang He in all the mirrors simultaneously raised his hand and pointed in the same direction.
"That way?" Xiao Cheng asked Fang He for confirmation. After receiving an affirmative response, she didn't hesitate and decisively ran in the direction he pointed.
The mirror over there was indeed a decoy; Xiao Cheng plunged in and successfully entered the next mirror space.
After finding a way to pass the level, they walked through six mirror spaces in a row and finally found the stamp of the Mirror House at the end.
The moment they emerged from the maze, Fang He's image vanished in the mirror. He reappeared beside Xiao Cheng, his brows furrowed as he looked at her burned palm.
"It's nothing, we just ran into each other," Xiao Cheng said nonchalantly. "Luckily it was just the two of us. If it were anyone else, we probably wouldn't have believed our travel companion's nonsense."
"Let's leave them a reminder here. The choice is theirs." Fang He picked up a stone and drew a danger warning sign on the ground. The shopkeeper of the mirror maze squinted and looked at them with a sinister gaze, but did not say anything to stop them.
The announcement came on again at just the right time: "Congratulations to passenger number 1 for successfully completing the Mirror Maze, a C-level attraction, and earning 5 park points."
"It's already 7 points." Xiao Cheng quickly calculated the current amusement park points.
Fang He nodded, took the map from Xiao Cheng, studied it carefully for a while, and pointed to a corner not far from them: "Let's go, next, let's go and take advantage of another D-level project."
On their way, they happened to run into Player 3, who looked dejected. The woman in orange was being dragged along by him like a ghost, her face expressionless and lifeless.
"Ah, it's you guys." Player No. 3 looked up and saw Xiao Cheng and Fang He, and greeted them a beat late. "You guys are amazing. The broadcast said you've already checked in for several projects. I'm still one point short, so I'd like to try it out at your place."
"You bought it on credit?" Xiao Cheng guessed the reason immediately. "For a D-level item, you can just have the shop owner stamp it in the visitor guide."
"A stamp?!" Player #3 slapped his forehead in frustration. "I thought I had to complete the game to get it. Thanks, I'll go get the stamp somewhere else first, then go back. The shop owner there is a bit... well, you guys be careful."
After separating from Player 3, the two followed the direction he came from and headed forward until they reached the dilapidated stall, which was roughly where Fang He had marked on the map.
"How did you know there would be a project here?" Xiao Cheng asked in surprise. "It's not marked on the map."
"Just a guess," Fang He said calmly. "Different levels of projects should have different radiation ranges. Simply put, within this range, there will only be that one project. By circling the projects we've found, we can roughly deduce the radiation range of Level D. This is the most likely place."
Xiao Cheng was utterly impressed: "How did you manage to see such complex things from such a sloppy map?"
Fang Heyun smiled nonchalantly: "Is it difficult?"
Xiao Cheng nodded frantically. It was very difficult, especially for someone like her who couldn't even tell east from west.
"Do you eat pig brains?" Fang He suddenly asked.
Xiao Cheng shook her head, puzzled: "I won't eat."
"Eat something, replenish what you lack." Fang He looked at her with kind eyes.
Xiao Cheng smiled politely: "Will you eat it?"
Fang He shook his head and said frankly, "I won't eat."
Just as Xiao Cheng was about to seize the opportunity to retort, he heard him say quietly, "After all, I don't lack anything."
Xiao Cheng: "..." How could God be so kind to you, giving you such an amazing brain and even a mouth as a bonus?
At the corner of the road, in front of a dilapidated stall, sat an equally dilapidated owner.
He was wrapped in a tattered rag full of holes, his face covered in sores, and the slightest movement of his expression would cause foul-smelling pus to be squeezed out.
"Dear passengers, hehe, it's been a long time since it's been this lively here." His voice sounded like it had been burned, so hoarse that he could barely make any breathy sounds.
"What kind of project is this?" Xiao Cheng looked at the stall, which was full of junk and various items, making it impossible to tell what the specific business was.
"Ring toss." The stall owner chuckled and pulled out five rusty iron rings from under his buttocks. "One point, have a go, or you can pay on credit."
"No way." Xiao Cheng decisively refused, opening her visitor guide. "I need to get a stamp and check it out."
The stamp landed on the paper, and the front desk's sickeningly sweet voice came over the loudspeaker: "Congratulations to guest number 1, you have successfully completed the ring toss activity, a D-level attraction, and have earned 3 park points."
"Since some guests have already earned 10 park points, the in-game store is now open, and the points notification service will be temporarily suspended. Please note that the current time is 10:00 AM, park time."
Immediately afterwards, a shopping list suddenly appeared in Xiao Cheng's hand, with the words "Portable Mall" written at the top.
Unlike what I saw at the visitor center, this shopping list is clearly the complete version, with a wide variety of items and prices ranging from 1 to 100 points.
"What a shrewd businessman! He really is a shrewd businessman," Xiao Cheng exclaimed sincerely. "He wasted one of our points."
"The broadcast specifically emphasized the time, so it might be related to the event." Fang He glanced at the shopping list. "The complete map costs fifteen points, and the event schedule is the same. This is all we can buy right now."
"A damaged Polaroid camera? What's the use of that?" Xiao Cheng sighed helplessly.
"It's useful, of course it's useful." The stall owner suddenly came over excitedly and said mysteriously, "Let me tell you the secret, I can fix things, you wouldn't believe it, would you? I'm a highly skilled repairman."
Xiao Cheng: "..." I really can't tell at all.
"How do I fix it?" she asked the stall owner with a suspicious look.
"You get what you pay for. It depends on how you want it repaired." The stall owner put his hands behind his back. "The lowest price is 3 points, with no upper limit. It's a great deal, right? Besides, I can accept credit."
