Chapter 46 The Deadly Travel Group (10)

Xiao Cheng felt a stinging pain on her face, and warm liquid dripped down. She wiped it with her hand and found it was blood, obviously from being scratched by the crossbow bolt.

Fortunately, the wound wasn't very deep, and the bleeding stopped in no time. Xiao Cheng didn't pay much attention to this minor injury and turned to look at the restless red rope.

The red rope swayed gently, attracting her attention, and she couldn't wait to point ahead.

It was an exquisitely crafted palace-style building, two stories high, entirely black, which looked particularly out of place in this ruin.

Xiao Cheng took a breath and, guided by the red rope, slowly walked towards the palace.

This time there was no attack; the door opened automatically in front of her, revealing a magnificent hall inside.

In the very center of the hall was a throne made of red crystals. Fang He was chained to it with heavy iron chains, but the moment Xiao Cheng stepped in, the chains clattered and shattered into pieces, falling to the ground.

The red crystal slowly crumbled and disappeared, and the red rope leaped excitedly to Fang He, affectionately and gently wrapping around his wrist.

Seeing Fang He's slightly surprised expression, Xiao Cheng casually wiped the bloodstains from her face.

“Let’s go.” She gave him a teasing smile, walked over and extended a hand to him. “I’ve come to save you, Your Highness the Red Princess.”

Before Fang He could say anything, the familiar dizziness struck the two of them again, and in the blink of an eye, the scene before them was completely different.

They stood in a bright square, surrounded by a circle of enthusiastic staff who clapped and generously scattered flower petals.

A clown's cheerful voice rang in my ears: "Congratulations to visitor number 1 for completing the Level B attraction 'Red and Black,' earning 15 park points!"

Before Xiao Cheng could recover, she was stunned by the flower petals raining down on her. She turned to Fang He, somewhat bewildered, and asked, "We..."

"You've cleared the level." Fang He nodded to her and praised her earnestly, "You're simply the most powerful Black Knight I've ever seen."

Xiao Cheng: "..." What's going on? A strange sense of pride has increased.

The next person to appear in the square was Xu Chu. He looked slightly better than Xiao Cheng. The woman in red stood behind him, and she looked much weaker.

"You guys are so fast?" Xu Chu said in surprise. "I thought I would be the first to clear the game."

"I was just lucky," Xiao Cheng replied modestly.

After that, no more players appeared. Xu Chu was worried that something might have happened to them when he saw the clown push through the crowd and slowly walk out.

"The project has ended. It's a pity. Tourists who didn't pass will never have another chance to pass," he said in a sorrowful voice.

As soon as he finished speaking, several disheveled figures fell from the sky and landed on the ground with a few thuds. They were the remaining four players.

The four female ghosts, led by red ropes, stared at them with resentful expressions.

Everyone had some kind of injury, but player number 5 was the most badly injured, almost covered in blood. He huddled up and shivered as if from the cold, while the woman in green had a blush of satisfaction on her face.

"It was a really fun project, and everyone seems to want more!" The clown exclaimed, gesturing wildly. "Then let's move on to the next project right away!"

Before Xiao Cheng could even catch her breath, hearing those words made her want to curse.

But the clown didn't care what they thought at all. He announced to himself, "The next attraction is... the next attraction is... an A-level attraction worth 25 park points! Let's party at the Grand Circus!"

He raised his hands high with an excited expression.

Xiao Cheng stared in disbelief as she looked up at the staff members' bodies, which stretched and enlarged until they transformed into small, mountain-like animals.

They roared wildly, their eyes bloodshot, pacing anxiously in place.

High-rise buildings are rising up all around the square.

The clown pulled out a rapidly spinning chainsaw from behind him, brandishing it recklessly while letting out a piercing laugh: "Get out of the way! I'm coming to eat you, my dear lamb!"

Xiao Cheng followed Fang He, cursing as they ran: "To hell with the big circus!"

"Save your energy, Black Knight." Fang He locked the building door behind him and then dragged Xiao Cheng upstairs.

"We can't get into either of the rooms, how can that door stop them!" Xiao Cheng couldn't help but turn around to look at the unsettling banging on the door outside.

“No.” Fang He said succinctly, “We’ll go to the rooftop.”

"Then you jump and I jump too?" Xiao Cheng felt like her brain had run out of oxygen and completely crashed.

Fang He knew that explaining now would be futile, so he simply kept quiet and looked up.

Without an elevator, and having run non-stop for over ten floors, Xiao Cheng felt completely exhausted, her heart pounding as if it were about to burst out of her chest.

"Wait...wait..." She waved her hand, leaning against the wall and panting heavily. "Take a break. There are so many buildings; the clown might not necessarily pick this one..."

Before he could finish speaking, he heard the crackling sound of a chainsaw from below.

The clown grinned maliciously as he leaned over the railing, looking up. He brandished his blood-stained chainsaw, his bright red lips moving as he said, "Found you."

"Holy crap!" Xiao Cheng was almost in tears, and could only drag her two legs, which felt like they were filled with lead, and struggle to continue climbing.

Fortunately, Fang He was there to hold her back.

Upon reaching the top floor, Fang He suddenly kicked open the rooftop door and practically dragged Xiao Cheng up to the roof.
