Chapter 85 Grades are Paramount (15)

The feeling of weightlessness didn't last long, and Xiao Cheng was slightly stunned when she landed smoothly.

This was still a classroom, and I thought there was nothing there, but when I turned around, I saw two menacing black spheres rushing towards me, one of which was covered in tentacles. It was practically mental pollution.

"What is this thing?!"

Xiao Cheng's pupils suddenly contracted, and her whole body began to ache intensely again. Before she could react, the two balls suddenly disappeared into thin air.

The scene before her shifted, and she found herself back at the classroom door. Teacher Liu stood on the podium, wearing black high heels, holding a slender silver metal pointer, and surveying the room below.

Immediately afterwards, the counselor's voice rang out: "Teacher Liu, the new exchange student has arrived."

Xiao Cheng: "..." Doing it again would really be impolite.

She took a deep breath and scanned the all-too-familiar classroom.

Just like on her first day of class, the male and female students are still alive and well, and "it" is not in the last seat.

So... this means we've returned to the original timeline?

With a secret hope in her heart, she walked to the podium at Teacher Liu's invitation.

"New student, may I have my student ID checked?" Ms. Liu said in a gentle tone.

They've arrived.

Xiao Cheng prepared himself mentally, took a deep breath, took out his student ID from his pocket, opened it, and handed it to her.

"Thirty-one points, not bad. Your foundation is better than I expected."

Ms. Liu nodded slightly and pointed to the back of the classroom with her pointer: "Go sit there. Your new deskmate is only one point behind you. Let's improve together; you'll definitely have a lot in common."

The seat is still the same familiar seat, and the deskmate is still the same familiar deskmate.

But unlike before, this time when Xiao Cheng sat down, her cheap deskmate turned around in a friendly manner and greeted her: "Hello, I'm Thirty."

Xiao Cheng stared at his head for a long time, then suddenly realized.

Dude, so the 30-point idiot that Teacher Liu was talking about before was you?!

When her deskmate didn't get a response, he silently turned his head back, maintaining a proper sitting posture, and looked up at the blackboard.

Teacher Liu began to lecture in an immersive manner, with the content being almost exactly the same as at the beginning.

After listening for a short while, Xiao Cheng's thoughts began to wander, her mind filled with the previous timelines.

There's also the secret that male students want to know about Teacher Liu, a secret worth thirty points.

Everything went wrong starting at the activity center.

As Xiao Cheng pondered this, she unconsciously glanced out the window. However, that fleeting glance made her freeze instantly.

wrong.

She looked out the window at the empty space.

The huge event center is gone; this isn't the original timeline.

"Hehe, you noticed?"

Beside him, his cheap deskmate suddenly let out a sinister laugh. His wig, along with half of his head, was ripped off, and a dark, fuzzy thing emerged from it, its fine tentacles supporting it as it rolled rapidly across the table.

The other sounds in the classroom grew increasingly muffled until they were completely inaudible, as if they had been utterly isolated in a different space.

"You really found it?" The second black ball crawled out one after another. Its tentacles looked sparser but thicker, and it was a whole size bigger than the first one. It landed on the table with a thud.

Then comes the third one.

The ends of the tentacles have bright red protrusions, like an underdeveloped mouth, and they look very similar to "it".

My cheap deskmate seemed to have had his flesh and blood devoured by something; his body visibly shrunken, making him easily resemble a deflated balloon.

Three black balls bounced around, making popping sounds, and at the same time, a huge tentacle, shrouded in black mist, emerged from the head of my cheap deskmate.

"Isn't it better to stay here?" A bloody hole was torn open in the face of the cheap classmate, and several thinner tentacles squeezed out of the hole, slowly wriggling.

The black mist slowly spread outwards, instantly pulverizing everything it touched. But it deliberately avoided Xiao Cheng's position, instead enveloping the three black spheres and beginning to absorb them.

It is getting stronger.

Xiao Cheng felt this very clearly.

She didn't know what "it" was trying to do, but there was no doubt that this time, no male student would come to help her.

"I'll give you a chance, but not much time," it said sarcastically, its tentacles making a rather human-like heart shape with their tentacles.

"There's an exit. Can you find it before I completely absorb them? Ah, I can't wait."

The tentacles pulled the student's body slightly backward, and the tilted chair wobbled precariously, its one leg bracing for support on the ground, creating a delicate balance.

The three black lumps grew increasingly shriveled, and the black mist gradually obscured Xiao Cheng's vision, leaving everything shrouded in a gray haze, except for the classroom door, which emitted a holy white halo.

As if bewitched, she unconsciously got up and moved closer to that side.

"There's only one exit, and you don't have the right to back out, okay?" it rambled on. "Choices are always a serious matter. Open the door if you've already made up your mind, after all... I'm almost done here."

Xiao Cheng's hand had already touched the doorknob.

The three black lumps were completely drained, leaving only three grayish, pebble-like crystals.

It stood up, but the chair remained in the same position, leaning steadily at an angle.

The black mist flowed slowly, converging towards "it," and the flesh on the table seemed to melt away, peeling off layer by layer to reveal "it's" original form.

It is a humanoid monster with tentacles growing all over its head.

It stood silently in place, watching the doorknob being slowly pressed down.

Click.

As Xiao Cheng swiftly withdrew his hand, it snapped back to its original position. Xiao Cheng turned and gave "it" the middle finger, then dashed to the window and flung it open.

A howling wind swept in instantly, and its head full of tentacles, like seaweed, began to sway wildly and uncontrollably, creating a chaotic mess.

Amidst its hysterical roar, Xiao Cheng, without hesitation, flipped over the window against the wind and then jumped down.

Everything around them came to an abrupt halt.

Xiao Cheng remained suspended in the air. She could feel her body gradually getting hot, especially her chest. Her heart was pounding hard, thumping loudly, asserting its presence more than ever before.

Starting from her fingertips, her body became real again, and then a feeling of weightlessness suddenly came over her, and the scene in front of her began to move upwards rapidly.

Holy crap! This is the seventh floor!

Xiao Cheng belatedly realized what was happening, and her mind went completely blank.

But the expected scene of blood and gore did not occur.

She landed firmly in a warm embrace, and Fang He's teasing chuckle sounded above her: "Your expression is quite peaceful; you're fit for a proper burial."
