Chapter 131 Dark Fairy Tale (2)

The boy took the bright red apple, his eyes glistening with tears, and for a moment he was so moved that he was speechless with emotion.

"Don't worry, kid, you can eat as much as you want." Xiao Cheng patted his shoulder kindly.

The hostess's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot, and she forced a rather unfriendly smile through gritted teeth: "Isn't this a bit inappropriate? It's disrespectful to the guests."

"It's okay, I always make people feel at home." Xiao Cheng continued to encourage the boy, seeing that he wanted to eat but was hesitant. "Eat up, eat up, your mom won't blame you."

The boy finally succumbed to the temptation and, under the hostess's murderous glare, cautiously took a bite of the apple.

As he chewed, crimson liquid spilled from his mouth, splattering across the floor and slowly outlining a distorted human shape.

The apple in his hand gradually shriveled, transforming into a miniature human head in Xiao Cheng's eyes. Half of the back of the head had already been bitten off, but it still opened its lifeless eyes wide and said, word by word, "Ouch, it hurts."

When the human head spoke, its mouth was stretched wide in an exaggerated way, and its voice was somewhat indistinct, mixed with the crisp sound of the boy gnawing on something.

Click, click.

Click, click.

Suddenly enraged, the woman lunged forward, raised her hand high, and slapped the apple out of the boy's hand.

And his head.

The boy, looking completely bewildered, collapsed to the ground, his body torn to pieces.

His head, along with the apple, rolled to Xiao Cheng's feet. His two mouths, one big and one small, were facing her, opening and closing in unison: "It hurts, it hurts so much."

"May God forgive our family for behaving so disrespectfully in front of our distinguished guests." The hostess, having vented her anger, returned to her previous demeanor as a virtuous wife and loving mother, bending down to pick up the pile of tangled limbs from the floor one by one.

Then the assembly begins.

Xiao Cheng: "..." This isn't just a matter of losing control anymore, damn it!

The woman's movements were quite skillful; the broken edges slowly and automatically glued together, and it actually stood firmly on the ground.

Finally, the head.

She wiped the fine beads of sweat from her forehead and touched the ground with particular reverence...

apple.

Xiao Cheng: "..." You've got the wrong one, lady! What are you trying to turn your son into, lady?!

Aba Aba's miniature head was placed at the severed neck and suddenly began to grow larger until it returned to its normal size.

The tender pink buds connected them together, eventually making them almost seamless.

Xiao Cheng watched helplessly as the boy's head gradually shrank, eventually turning into an apple that was about to rot.

After finishing his soup, the male host finally left the table, letting out a loud burp. With bloodshot eyes, he walked over, picked up the apple, and casually wiped the dirt off its surface.

“This kind of thing is not worthy of our distinguished guest.” He smiled ingratiatingly at Xiao Cheng, his expression exaggerated, revealing a piece of meat stuck between his teeth. “But I happen to need some dessert fruit.”

"You're right." Xiao Cheng nodded in complete agreement.

But the woman clearly didn't see it that way. When the man came over, her expression became incredibly annoyed, and that annoyance reached its peak when he picked up the apple.

She stretched out her sharp nails, screamed, and pounced, leaving several long, bloody scratches with her claws.

The male homeowner clearly couldn't stand this humiliation. He threw the apple aside and grabbed the female homeowner's hair, starting to fight back.

Xiao Cheng: "..." What the hell is this family drama?

The boy with the new head seemed to have gotten used to this scene long ago. He ran over with a blank face, picked up the broken apple from the ground, and then returned to the table, silently cleaning up the leftover bones.

He took off his coat, gathered all the bones together, carefully wrapped them up along with the apple, and ran outside with them in his arms.

Through the huge floor-to-ceiling window, Xiao Cheng watched him dig a hole with his bare hands and bury all the bones inside.

He piled up a slightly raised mound of soil, then clasped his hands together, closed his eyes, and began to pray devoutly.

A tender, bright green shoot broke through the soil and then grew rapidly into an extremely thick vine, the other end of which disappeared into the endless sky.

Suddenly, an expression of extreme joy appeared on the boy's face. Then he jumped up, grabbed the broad branches of the vine with both hands, and struggled to climb upwards.

The male and female homeowners noticed the strange noises outside and stopped fighting almost simultaneously.

When they saw the boy climbing the vines, they were furious and burst through the wall together.

Xiao Cheng wanted to go out, but before she even reached the door, she was pushed back by a huge force.

It looks like we'll just have to watch the intro animation.

Outside the house, the man and woman embraced the base of the vines and began to shake them violently.

The branches and leaves rustled violently, shaking the boy so much that he almost lost his grip. He glanced down, but gritted his teeth and continued climbing.

"Get down! You beast! Where are you going?!" the male owner roared hoarsely, veins bulging on his forehead.

"Get down! Get down! You have no right to go there!" the mistress shouted in a shrill voice.

The boy finally couldn't hold on any longer and fell to the ground with a thud due to the violent shaking.

The huge vines then began to wither, their branches and leaves drooping dryly, and soon they completely died, leaving only half a withered stem.

The couple dragged the unconscious boy back into the house, still looking furious and panting heavily.
