Number 3 was about to cry. Seeing that the halftime break was over and the big-headed girl was about to catch up again, he quickly took off running, shouting as he ran.
"When she first came out, she kept repeating 'mouth! mouth! mouth!' What's wrong with her mouth?!"
Xiao Cheng: "..." I knew that pitch-black one wasn't the rotten tomato koi fish after all.
"It must be a makeup problem." Fang He's remaining conscience was condemning him. "I told you, it would have looked better if you had darker skin."
Just as he said this, Number Three happened to pass by again, looking utterly bewildered: "Is this a question that would be more appropriate for someone with darker skin?!"
“It was wrong from the very beginning with the floral print jacket,” Xiao Cheng retorted.
Number Three continued to break down: "Even if it's not a floral print jacket, it's still weird, damn it!"
Xiao Cheng looked at him in shock and said, "You're actually a hidden master of witty remarks?"
Number Three: "..." Forget it, I'm tired. Let's just destroy it.
Fortunately, there was Fang He who had a change of heart.
He carefully considered his words, then went over and knocked on the door of the mute girl's and number five's room.
As expected, no one answered the door.
But he still spoke up, "Is Number Five here? If possible, we need your girlfriend to help us choose a lipstick shade."
silence.
A long silence followed.
Number Three and the Big-Headed Girl were running back and forth in the corridor, resembling some kind of absurd comedy.
Then, a click.
The door was pulled open a crack.
The mute girl glanced outside, seemingly confused about the situation. After a few seconds of stunned silence, she looked at Fang He and chuckled before nodding gently.
She agreed.
Number Five reluctantly grabbed her hand and, escorted by Fang He, walked downstairs to the arcade.
Xiao Cheng stayed up there alone, just in case the big-headed girl got tired of playing with him and decided to kill him.
"So this is what you guys did?!" Number Three, whose brain had been working up a bit from lack of oxygen, finally snapped out of it and pointed angrily at Xiao Cheng, demanding, "What are you going to do to compensate me and my brother?!"
"You got some exercise, and your brother had a good night's sleep." Xiao Cheng felt like she'd been unjustly attacked. "Isn't that good?"
"He fainted from fright! If this is a murderous female ghost, we're dead!"
"Oh, I see." Xiao Cheng tilted her head. Although, if Da Tou really would kill someone, she wouldn't have let her go.
but.
"What do I care if you die or not?"
A gentle smile appeared on her face.
Number Three was stunned, feeling a fear even more terrifying than facing the female ghost, a fear that made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cave and penetrated to the bone.
"Ah, it was just a harmless little joke." Xiao Cheng waved her hand casually, revealing an innocent expression. "I'm sure you won't mind, right?"
On the other side, the Big-Headed Princess's movements suddenly stopped. It must have been because the mute girl had succeeded. Her body gradually became fuller, and her proportions gradually returned to normal. Her black lips turned red little by little, and her big floral cotton-padded jacket was changed.
She looks elegant and graceful.
Then she bowed slightly to Xiao Cheng, her figure fading until it vanished as a phantom.
Number Three, supporting himself on his knees, gasped for breath, feeling weak all over, and finally collapsed to the ground.
Xiao Cheng ignored him and watched as the shiny, coin-shaped object suddenly appeared on the ground after the female ghost disappeared.
She walked over, bent down, and picked it up.
It was an ordinary-looking gold game coin.
A loud bang came from downstairs, followed by Number Five's exclamation and low curses.
Not long after, Fang He led the mute girl and Number Five back upstairs. Neither of them was injured, but apart from Fang He, the other two were frightened and went back to their rooms without saying a word.
Faced with Xiao Cheng's questioning gaze, Fang He shrugged and explained casually, "The game console exploded."
Xiao Cheng nodded to indicate that she understood, and then showed the game coins to Fang He.
Fang He didn't take it. He put his hands in his pockets and said, "Keep it."
Then he turned around and went back to his room.
Xiao Cheng watched quietly as his door closed, then paused for a long while before walking over to Number Three, squatting down, and asking, "You can go back, right?"
Number Three seemed a little intimidated by her, unconsciously shifting to the side. Realizing what she was asking, he quickly nodded, "Yes, I can go back."
"Oh." Xiao Cheng looked at him expressionlessly. "Then what are you standing there for? Go back."
Then Xiao Cheng was left alone in the corridor.
She didn't go back, but instead groped her way downstairs in the dark, and in a flash she saw the game console blown to pieces.
Then she squatted down, paused for a long time, picked up a rough-edged piece of shard from the ground, and rubbed the edge with her finger.
There is blood.
It was stuck to it while it was still half-dry.
Fang He's blood.
Realizing this, Xiao Cheng felt inexplicably irritated. She thought of Fang He's hands in his pockets when he went upstairs, and then angrily threw the broken pieces aside.
The next morning, Xiao Cheng yawned as she walked out of her room and bumped into Number One and Number Two. As expected, both of them looked exhausted, clearly having not slept well.
Good morning.
Xiao Cheng greeted them listlessly.
All the players gathered in the arcade, standing next to the exploded arcade machine, listening to Fang He recount what happened last night.
"...That's how it is. After you finish the game, the machine crashes." Fang He said, glancing at Xiao Cheng, who looked tired.
Xiao Cheng thought he was asking her to take out her things, so she took out game coins from her pocket.
"The female ghost disappeared, and this appeared on the ground."
Number Five stared at the game coins for a moment and analyzed, "These aren't ordinary game coins; they're reward coins. So now we can reasonably guess that if you fail the game, the ghost in the game will appear at night, and if you pass the game, the ghost will disappear and the reward coins will appear."
