Chapter 100 Alien Evolution (6)

The group led by number 66 had successfully killed the child zombie and its mech, and had the good fortune to obtain a total of nine white low-level crystals.

Players accumulate experience points while killing zombies, and some have already broken through to level two, becoming more and more powerful and routing the zombies.

Xiao Cheng quickly killed a few more zombies, but unfortunately, her luck wasn't good this time. The drop rate of white crystals was low, and she barely reached the threshold of level two. She still needed ten more experience points to level up.

She doesn't have any special abilities to improve; the most direct manifestation of experience points for her is the improvement in her physical condition and reaction speed. At least when she first entered the dungeon, she couldn't jump three meters high.

On the screen, the ratio of players to zombies finally settled at eighty to one hundred. The red glow in the sky gradually faded, and a fake electronic sun slowly rose, its cold light shining down. All the zombies and glue monsters in the hunting grounds silently melted away, sticking wetly to the ground and assimilating with the soil.

The safe house reappeared before everyone's eyes, looking even larger and more sturdier than before.

The gates opened generously to them. The players were stunned for a while before they came to their senses from the long battle. As if bewitched, they rushed inside.

Once the last player successfully entered the safe house, the heavy iron door slammed shut.

The inside was no different from before, with a very perfunctory electronic face appearing on the large hanging screen.

"Dear players, congratulations on successfully completing the first night of the hunt! Let's give a big round of applause! Congratulations!" The electronic face exaggeratedly changed its expression with each word it spoke.

As it finished speaking, electronic applause echoed throughout the room, instantly turning the atmosphere into a lively one. The players looked disheveled, their eyes warily fixed on the electronic face, lest it suddenly pull a sneak attack.

"As the actual controller of the hunting grounds, I will lead you to review everyone's performance!" The electronic face seemed quite frank, ignoring everyone's reactions and continuing to speak on its own.

"First, you killed a total of nine hundred zombies, including two super-level zombies. That's a remarkable achievement, applause!"

"Secondly, someone has already taken the lead and successfully broken through to level two. Applause!"

"Third, many players are already proficient in using their initial abilities. Applause!"

No one paid it any attention; there wasn't even electronic applause this time, but the electronic face continued its monologue with great enthusiasm: "Now comes the exciting moment! Day One of exile! Let it begin!"

Inside the safe house, all the lights went out instantly, plunging it into complete darkness, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Ten gray beams of light shone down, moving back and forth among the crowd, finally freezing completely with a gasp from the electronic face.

Beneath the ten beams of light were ten players. Almost all of them were severely injured, and their faces, illuminated by the gray beams of light, instantly turned ashen.

The one closest to Xiao Cheng was a boy lying on the ground, who looked to be under twenty years old. Both of his legs were severed at the knees, with extremely uneven, bloody, and mangled flesh, revealing broken bone fragments. He must have been torn off by a zombie.

Everyone knew what awaited these ten people.

Rule 3: The last-place finisher is eliminated each day.

Xiao Cheng originally thought that this kind of elimination might be related to experience points or level, but he didn't expect it to be so direct, starting with those who had lost their ability to fight.

The lights snapped on, instantly illuminating the safe house. The gray beam of light didn't disappear; under its shadow, the ten players seemed completely swallowed up.

"Ten lucky winners! Congratulations!" the electronic face shouted excitedly. "Don't waste your precious rest time! Next up is the moment everyone's been waiting for—the moment of exile!"

Thunderous applause erupted, followed by the dry hum of machinery. Ten sturdy mechanical arms descended from the roof, accurately gripping the ten players beneath the beam of light before slowly moving toward the gate.

The door opened silently and automatically a crack, and the robotic arm threw people out one by one through the crack.

The door closed again, shutting out the piercing screams.

The electronic face yawned wearily: "Well then, players, see you tomorrow! Good day!"

A few strange arcs flashed across the screen, then the interface abruptly returned to normal. The red number above froze at seventy, representing the number of players currently remaining in the safe house.

A tense atmosphere began to spread, and some people silently crawled back into their cubicles, slamming the doors shut.

Number 66 broke the silence by speaking first: "Given the current situation, it would be best if we players reviewed the game together. To show our sincerity, I'll go first." As she spoke, she raised her right hand, revealing the blue number on the back of her hand. "As you can see, I am Number 66, and my initial ability is fire."

"I think today's hunt was the most representative. After all, I teamed up with four other players and killed a super-level 1 zombie."

"You killed one of them!" someone exclaimed in shock. "Then you should be..."

"Yes, I'm at level two now, and I can launch four explosive fireballs in a row." Number 66 nodded casually, as if he were talking about something perfectly normal.

Then she shifted her gaze to Fang He and continued meaningfully, "Of course, he's still slightly inferior to player number 53, after all, he single-handedly took down a super-level one."
