Chapter 39 The Fatal Travel Group (3) shuhaige.net

Fang He stood outside the car door, wearing a black trench coat with several irregular holes burned into the hem by the fire earlier.

He carried the purple-clad woman, whose fate was unknown, in his hand with an air of nonchalance, as if he were carrying an ordinary gift box.

"Excuse me, can I hitch a ride?" Fang He shoved the woman in purple in front of the tour guide and shook her. "After all, I'm her savior."

The tour guide's face turned ashen, but she still managed a smile and emphasized through gritted teeth, "I only allow people with badges to board the bus."

"Only badges are recognized?"

"We only recognize badges," the tour guide replied without question.

Fang He sighed with some disappointment, as if giving in, and released the hand holding the woman in purple.

With a triumphant smile, the tour guide reached out to catch her falling body.

But he caught nothing.

Fang He nimbly snatched the numbered badge, then, before the tour guide could react, kicked the woman in purple away.

"Wow, great shot!" Xiao Cheng exclaimed, his eyes following the smooth parabola.

The purple-clad woman's already charred body crashed into the road and shattered into several pieces; whether human or ghost, most of them would not survive.

Fang He nodded politely to the tour guide, then, under her murderous gaze, bent down to fasten the number badge and slowly smoothed out the wrinkles in his clothes.

“As you can see, that makes things much easier, Miss Tour Guide.” He pointed to the number badge on his chest and then to Xiao Cheng in her seat. “Now, I am her designated travel companion.”

The bus bypassed the burned-out wreckage of the car and continued on its way.

As Xiao Cheng's travel companion for the next period, Fang He rightfully sat next to her.

Both of them had a red thread wrapped around their wrists, and Xiao Cheng could clearly sense that the digital badges were linking them together in a strange way.

"Did you hear that?" Fang He suddenly asked.

Xiao Cheng turned to look at him, looking confused: "What did you hear?"

Fang He didn't say it explicitly, but his face clearly showed his disappointment: "So this thing doesn't have the function of transmitting sound."

Xiao Cheng: "...Otherwise what?"

"What about shared perception?" Fang He suddenly reached out and pinched Xiao Cheng's arm.

"Ouch! What are you doing!" Xiao Cheng cried out unexpectedly, not because of pain, since Fang He hadn't used much force, but because of the cold.

His hands were like ice blocks assembled together, pressed against my skin, the chill penetrating to my very bones; just that moment, my arm was almost numb from the cold.

"Ouch, that's hot." Fang He also gasped. Xiao Cheng looked at his fingers and saw that they were already blistered from the burns; he was clearly not faking it.

"What kind of effect is this?" Xiao Cheng was a little confused. Suddenly, she remembered that Xu Chu seemed to have shaken hands with the woman in red just now, so she turned to ask him, "Do you guys do this too?"

Xu Chu was taken aback for a moment, then waved his hands repeatedly, somewhat embarrassed: "No, no, we don't do that."

Xiao Cheng: "..." This reaction is a bit strange, but I can't quite put my finger on why.

Before she could continue with her description, Xu Chu asked, "Are you acquaintances?"

"Hmm... I guess so." Xiao Cheng glanced at Fang He out of the corner of her eye. Seeing that he had no expression, she assumed he had agreed with her answer, so she continued, "We'll clear the dungeon together."

"That's really rare." Xu Chu's face showed a hint of envy. "This is my fourth book, but everyone in the same book as me... well, it's rare to be so peaceful at the beginning."

"It wasn't exactly peaceful... I guess." Xiao Cheng glanced at Fang He again. He didn't seem to have entered the dungeon as a normal player, but judging from his expression, he didn't seem to want to explain anything.

The rest of the trip proceeded smoothly, and the bus came to a safe and steady stop at the entrance of the amusement park.

The tour guide waved a small flag, organizing them to get off the bus in pairs one by one, and then line up in a row.

"Dear tourists, although there were some unpleasant little incidents during the trip, it was generally quite smooth." The tour guide looked at Xiao Cheng and Fang He with a sinister gaze and said meaningfully.

"To commemorate this trip for everyone, I suggest we take a group photo right at the entrance of the amusement park."

She took a Polaroid camera out of her small pocket and asked the driver to take a picture for her. She then ran to the spot next to Xiao Cheng, made a peace sign, and gave a sweet smile.

Seven photos were taken in total, and the tour guide distributed them to the seven tourists in turn.

Xiao Cheng took the photo and looked at it carefully. There was nothing strange about it; it was just an ordinary group photo.

"A satisfying photo! Paste it on the first blank page of the visitor guide!" The tour guide made a rather enthusiastic gesture. "This will mark the beginning of your trip! Dear visitors, please enjoy your time at the park!"

"Friendly reminder: this isn't our final destination! Remember to return here to catch the bus before sunset. Of course, if you'd like to share your travel experiences with me, I, your tour guide, would be very happy!"

As soon as she finished speaking, cheerful music suddenly rang out from the amusement park behind everyone, and fireworks exploded in the sky, making them exceptionally eye-catching even in daylight.

A large group of staff dressed as mascots poured out of the gate, surrounded them, held hands to form a circle, sang and danced, and pushed them toward the visitor center next to the gate.

The tour guide watched this scene with a grin, then turned and got on the bus, waving a small flag as he said goodbye. The driver mechanically stepped on the gas, and the bus sped away.
