The van in the drawing was dilapidated, but it was fully functional and could even be driven. Its four square wheels made for a bumpy ride, but its speed didn't falter at all.
Player #4 felt like he was going to throw up, so he clung tightly to the back of the chair, not daring to lift his head.
Fang He sat in the passenger seat, gripping the roof railing tightly the whole way. Through the rearview mirror, he saw sparks flying from the tires as they scraped against the ground.
"Is that Xu Chu up ahead?" Xiao Cheng pointed to a blurry figure running quickly in the rain and mist in the distance.
"Hands! Put them back! Use both hands to turn the steering wheel!" Fang He was jolted violently by the sudden jolt, watching helplessly as the car scraped against the wall, thinking he might die in a car accident today.
"Oh, this car isn't working." Xiao Cheng quickly steadied the steering wheel, made a self-justification, then floored the accelerator and sped off.
Xu Chu ran wildly through the rain, carrying the unconscious Player 7 on his shoulder. He heard a loudspeaker suddenly blare behind him and turned around in confusion.
"Get in the car!"
Xiao Cheng slammed on the brakes and brought the car to a stop, splashing a huge amount of water.
Player #4 suppressed the urge to get out of the car, opened the back door, and made room for Xu Chu: "Get in first, I'll explain later."
Just then, the crisp sound of shattering glass came from a house by the roadside. Immediately afterwards, a woman in green burst out of a window, brandishing her sharp, blade-like fingernails, and roared as she charged toward them.
Without hesitation, Xu Chu jumped into the back seat and slammed the door shut behind him.
"Hold on tight!" Xiao Cheng slammed on the gas pedal.
The woman in green fell heavily against the rear window of the car, her ten fingernails digging deep into the glass like nails. She hung from the back of the car, and her body made dull thuds as the car bumped around.
Xu Chu had just put Number 7 down and hadn't even had a chance to catch his breath when the woman in green's claws slashed across his scalp. She hissed at him, and foul-smelling green pus dripped from her protruding fangs.
"Use this!" Xiao Cheng jerked the steering wheel back and forth, but still couldn't shake the woman in green off. He simply pulled out a utility knife and threw it into Xu Chu's hand.
Xu Chu reacted extremely quickly, and the moment he received the blade, he thrust it out and cleanly severed the fingernails that the woman in green had extended.
The car suddenly jolted, and she let out a miserable scream of despair. The immense inertia sent her flying, sliding a considerable distance across the ground before collapsing in a twisted, grotesque position.
"Resolved?" Xiao Cheng looked over in the rearview mirror.
The woman in green was struggling on the ground, her arms and legs seemingly broken, twisted into angles that no ordinary person could achieve.
But this clearly had no effect on her; she quickly got up again, relentlessly wading through puddles, and chased after them at top speed.
“The red rain has a protective effect on her, but it affects our sanity,” Xu Chu said, frowning. “Is it because we absorbed it…?”
"The road is coming to an end. We need to think of something quickly and get out of this painting as soon as possible!" Xiao Cheng saw the warning sign on the roadside that was about to collapse in the distance.
This is a dead end.
The rain grew heavier, pattering down on the car and corroding small holes in the glass.
"No, the car can't hold on much longer." Seeing the woman in green getting closer, Xiao Cheng stepped on the gas again.
The engine was making a whirring sound, as if it might break down at any moment.
"Can't you just draw an exit?" Player #4 asked hastily.
“No, this is a painting. No matter how you draw an exit, it’s still within the painting.” Fang He rejected her suggestion. “What we should be doing is…”
"Break down the dimensional barrier!" A flash of inspiration struck Xiao Cheng. "A knife! Use a knife to pierce through the drawing paper!"
"I'll go." Xu Chu prepared to open the car door. "Whether it works or not, let's give it a try first."
"No, I'll go." Fang He stopped him. "Your strength might not be enough to break the canvas, but I'm different. Hong Yu can bless her, and she can bless me too."
“But…” Xu Chu wanted to say something more to refute him, but was interrupted by Xiao Cheng.
“Let him go.” Xiao Cheng looked at the high wall that appeared at the end of the road and said calmly, “I trust him. He is the only suitable candidate.”
Fang He loosened the red rope on his wrist again, bit the utility knife horizontally, grabbed the edge of the car window with both hands, and climbed onto the roof of the van.
He took off his raincoat, letting the red rain pelt his body, soaking his clothes and slowly seeping into his skin.
A surge of frenzied power rose within him. He suppressed the violent emotions welling up inside him, crouched on the roof of the car, and lowered his center of gravity to steady himself.
"Fang He! How's it going?" Seeing that they were getting closer and closer to the high wall, Xiao Cheng deliberately slowed down the car.
The woman in green, who was chasing closely behind, let out a furious roar like a wild beast, lifted a large wooden plank from the roadside, and slammed it heavily onto Fang He on the roof of the carriage.
"No problem, speed up." Fang He replied in a muffled voice, veins bulging on his forearm, and smashed the wooden board with a heavy punch.
"Ready!" Xiao Cheng shouted, slamming his foot on the gas pedal, and the van roared toward the high wall.
The instant it crashed into him, Fang He raised his utility knife and slashed it forcefully from top to bottom.
The wall shattered instantly, and blinding white light shone through the blade, engulfing the people and the car.
"Oh my god!" Xiao Cheng felt a sudden loss of balance as she was thrown off balance and landed heavily on the ground with a thud, rolling several times before regaining her balance.
The others were also thrown out of the picture frame along with her. The last sheet of paper floated down and landed in front of Xiao Cheng. It contained the raincoat and van that she had drawn.
