Xiao Cheng shifted his gaze to the black box that the merman was holding in her arms.
Calling it a box isn't quite accurate; it's more like a sealed cube. The material is indistinguishable, and the surface shimmers with a colorful halo, giving one a strange feeling of dizziness.
It felt like my soul had been sucked in.
The merwoman clearly realized this, and subtly tugged at her gauze robe, covering the surface of the black box.
Xiao Cheng was startled and snapped out of the bewitching feeling, only to find herself covered in a cold sweat.
What is this?
"Don't look directly at Him," the merman said again, her tone flat, as if stating a simple fact. "I've already said it, you're not qualified yet."
This is it?! The thing that the merman hailed as the god of gods is actually just this black box?!
Xiao Cheng felt a sense of absurdity, but it turned out that the box was far more complicated than it appeared.
At least in the dungeon, there's almost nothing that can make her feel this terrified.
"You've met my brother," the merman said calmly. "Your going to hell was an accident, but it doesn't seem to have surprised me too much, after all, I know you're a hopeless romantic."
Xiao Cheng: "..." Another strange character design has been added.
"So you are the god here?" Xiao Cheng asked bluntly, since the female merman in front of him was obviously much easier to communicate with than the male merman.
"Yes and no," the merman answered her frankly. "There is only one true god here, and I am merely His creation. But compared to the other inferior beings, there is no problem in calling me a god."
"His creation?"
“Let’s put it more simply, His wager,” the merman continued, “If you win the wager with Him, He will grant you the qualification to become a god, and you can achieve anything you desire.”
“My brother thought he would win, but his defeat was sealed the moment you appeared.”
“You were also chosen by Him, so now it’s your turn.”
"Ready? Distinguished guest, welcome to the true Miracle Casino, where your journey begins—"
"Customized for becoming a god".
