Chapter 189 Absolute Creation (25)

The handwritten letter was covered in blood, and its contents were all too familiar to me.

"You are a guest personally chosen by the princess. You have been invited to find the real culprit who murdered her fiancé."

"You must conceal your identity and begin your investigation at the princess's party."

"On the first day of the party, you will dress up in your finest clothes and arrive at 8 o'clock sharp."

A simple clock pattern slowly appeared on her right wrist, the second hand ticking forward, making a ticking sound.

The time is 6:37.

"Ah, now that's what a real reload is like." Xiao Cheng crumpled the letter into a ball with a blank expression. He originally wanted to throw it on the ground, but after thinking about it, he realized that would be impolite.

"I am a truly civilized person."

She sighed as she crumpled the letter even tighter and then casually stuffed it into her pocket.

Putting everything else aside, if a fight breaks out later, it can be used as a hidden weapon.

Absolutely perfect.

Thinking this, the corners of her lips curled up slightly. Having roughly determined the direction, she walked forward with a leisurely air.

I didn't encounter any other soldiers on the way. They must have gone back after picking up the dwarf. It seems that I was just unlucky to run into them on my first playthrough.

This place can be described as truly sparsely populated. Xiao Cheng walked until almost 7:30 and didn't see a single person.

There wasn't a single living creature, let alone people.

She now seriously doubts whether she has gone astray.

Just as she was briefly caught in self-doubt, the sound of wheels rolling suddenly came from not far away.

The wooden wheel creaked as it rolled over the ground, leaving two deep ruts.

Clearly, the carriage was carrying a considerable amount of cargo.

There were four horses pulling the cart. They weren't exactly sleek and spirited; they were barely alive.

The tightly bound reins left bloody welts on their bodies, and the coachman, cracking his whip, shouted, "Run! You beasts! Run!"

The carriage moved slowly and laboriously.

Before she could be discovered, Xiao Cheng glanced around quickly, chose a clump of bushes that could barely provide cover, and darted over there with light and swift movements, making almost no sound at all.

The coachman clearly didn't notice this place either, driving the carriage past the thicket.

A gentle breeze blew by, lifting the curtain on the side of the carriage. Through the narrow window, Xiao Cheng could see the group of people sitting inside.

What a fucking coincidence!

Xiao Cheng looked at his fat head and big ears, gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. In the first playthrough, it was you who were going to save me.

There's no way to save him; he's more pleasing to the eye when he's half-dead.

Xiao Cheng placed one foot on the nobleman's back, tightening the whip in his hand. The other end of the whip was tightly wrapped around the nobleman's neck, making him roll his eyes back, his neck and face turn purple, and his eyeballs bulge outwards, bloodshot and on the verge of dying.

"Heh...heh heh..."

The nobleman struggled in vain, desperately trying to pull the whip off his neck with all ten fingers, but the more he pulled, the tighter it became.

Finally, there was a crisp cracking sound.

Xiao Cheng watched as his neck snapped suddenly, and his head drooped down. With a flick of his wrist, he released the whip.

"Damn it, you got off easy dying so quickly."

She was still not satisfied and kicked the lump of flesh on the ground a few more times, but unfortunately the fat layer was too resistant, so it did nothing but vent her anger.

Fortunately, they found a way to sneak into the dinner party.

Xiao Cheng frowned, and with a look of disgust, she pulled off the fat nobleman's exquisite outer robe and casually draped it over her own shoulders.

The outer robe was far too big, hanging loosely with the back hem and overly wide sleeves trailing on the ground. At first glance, it did indeed resemble a luxurious evening gown.

It barely meets the requirement of being dressed up.

Xiao Cheng lifted her clothes to avoid tripping, and seeing that it was almost time, she turned around, picked up the unconscious coachman from the ground, and slapped him awake with two crisp slaps.

The coachman suddenly woke up and saw her face. He was so startled that he screamed and looked like he was about to cry.

"Shut up," Xiao Cheng said coldly, sounding impatient.

Then the coachman seriously and timidly shut his mouth, trembling and kneeling in front of her with his head down. After shaking for a long time, he finally managed to whisper, "What are your orders?"

Xiao Cheng: "..." I'm afraid she's scared out of her wits.

Receiving no response from her, the coachman waited in silence for a long time. Finally, he couldn't help but lift his gaze slightly and glance at her hastily before burying his head even lower, almost touching the ground.

"My lord, what are your orders?"

He shouted loudly, as if facing certain death.

Xiao Cheng: "..." They didn't say they were going to eat him, did they? Why are you so scared?

"Get up, drive the carriage." She glanced at him indifferently, then turned and walked towards the carriage.

Without the oppressive presence of the fat nobleman, even the four horses seemed much more relaxed, happily trotting their hooves and occasionally nibbling on the grass.

The coachman was stunned for a moment, and finally realized that Xiao Cheng didn't intend to kill him. He jumped up from the ground with great joy, ran over with a fawning smile, and eagerly helped Xiao Cheng onto the horse.

“Be careful, sir.” He smiled, his creases widening.

“I’m not some nobleman.” Xiao Cheng glanced at him with amusement and said meaningfully, “Your original master is lying on the ground peacefully.”

"Your Excellency is too kind. Wearing these clothes and sitting in this carriage, you are indeed Your Excellency. Everyone would recognize you as the distinguished guest invited by the princess."

Xiao Cheng leaned back comfortably on the soft cushions in the carriage: "You're quite eloquent and can even drive. It seems keeping you around was the right thing to do."

The coachman was no longer afraid. He took the whip from Xiao Cheng, which had just been used to kill someone, raised it high, and lashed it against the ground next to the horse.

Dust flew everywhere.

The horse was startled and neighed loudly, but under the groom's control, it resumed walking on the road.

The car drove quite smoothly.

"Not to boast, sir, but I was once a coachman for the princess, and I also escorted many of her collections to the most precious places, where they were then stored in the princess's treasury."

"So, you know quite a few of the princess's little secrets?" Xiao Cheng propped her head up with her hand, her eyes slightly narrowed. "How could she have let you live until now?"

“Of course, sir.” The coachman chuckled. “I know the princess’s biggest secret, and I also know secrets that even the princess doesn’t know.”

"for example……"

"For example?" Xiao Cheng raised an eyebrow with interest.

"For example, the stone that bears the devil's weakness."
