Chapter 70 The Fatal Travel Group (The End)

The false god was injured, and its attack was temporarily suspended.

Xiao Cheng caught his breath, gripped the dagger in reverse, and looked up at the mechanical skeleton in the tentacles with a serious expression.

The red rope swayed back to her side, no longer glowing, and looked a bit dusty, as if it might disappear at any moment.

"What is this?" Xu Chu walked to her side. "You stayed behind alone to deal with this?"

"It's a long story, but it's related to clearing the level." Xiao Cheng wiped his face and turned to look at the direction where Number 7 had been thrown out. "I wonder how Number 7 is doing."

"I don't think he'll die." Xu Chu thought for a moment and said very seriously, "His life is tougher than anyone I've ever met."

Xiao Cheng couldn't help but laugh: "That makes sense, but I just hope this thing isn't as resilient as him."

That last impact must have damaged the circuitry; the tentacle's movements became somewhat erratic, and tiny sparks could be faintly seen erupting from the metal skeleton.

Xiao Cheng has absolutely no desire to complain anymore.

She originally thought it was a supernatural story, but it turned out to be a science fiction story.

“Generally speaking, these machines have an energy source. Destroying the energy center will naturally render them unable to function,” Xu Chu analyzed.

“I understand the logic, but where do we find the energy center for this thing? You saw it yourself, even cutting off one of its tentacles is so difficult.” Xiao Cheng sighed helplessly.

The false god didn't let them rest for long, and soon prepared its tentacles to make a comeback.

A tentacle slammed heavily between Xiao Cheng and Xu Chu, causing the ground to cave in and spread out in a spiderweb pattern.

The two jumped apart, one on the left and one on the right, and were instantly separated by the remaining tentacles.

"The dungeon doesn't have unsolvable problems, there must be something we've overlooked!" Xu Chu shouted to Xiao Cheng during a break from dodging attacks, "What is it?! What in this dungeon is related to this mechanical monster?!"

Xiao Cheng's mind raced, but the pseudo-god's intense attacks overwhelmed her, leaving her completely confused and without any clue.

If Fang He were here right now...

She suddenly thought this for no reason.

What would Fang He say? Amusement park, art museum, death village—this is a complete scenario, if we start thinking from the very beginning…

She vaguely grasped a clue, and just then, the false god completely abandoned Xu Chu and launched a fierce attack on her. Eight tentacles stabbed at her simultaneously, completely blocking her escape route from all directions.

"Xiao Cheng!"

Xu Chu shouted anxiously, trying his best to find a loophole to break through.

At the critical moment, the red rope wrapped around Xiao Cheng completely, bursting out with a warm yet dazzling golden-red light, forming a shield that protected her firmly within it.

The eight tentacles collided with the shield, and time seemed to freeze. Then, with a loud bang, the tentacles and the shield exploded together, and the false god screamed as he was thrown back, leaving a long trail on the ground.

Xiao Cheng was protected so well that she wasn't even affected by the aftershocks of the explosion.

The red string faded completely, lingered on the back of her hand, and then silently broke into several pieces, falling to the ground.

"Xiao Cheng, are you alright?" Xu Chu rushed over.

"Ah...it's nothing." Xiao Cheng looked down at the back of her hand, where the tingling sensation from the red string still lingered. "But I should be able to guess who did this."

The false god's tentacles had been half destroyed in the explosion. Now, it barely managed to get back up, but it could no longer fly. It limped slowly over.

Looking at its exposed mechanical skeleton, Xiao Cheng silently took out the visitor's manual that she had long forgotten.

Xu Chu looked at her flipping through the photos and asked blankly, "What's this?"

"A shy repairman who quietly accomplishes great things." Xiao Cheng took the photo off the visitor guide, held it high, and pointed it directly at the three lobster heads of the false god.

The false god paused slightly in his steps.

Almost simultaneously, its three heads displayed human-like expressions of confusion.

"Blasphemer, how do you have a picture of your father?" Now, listening to its voice, there are obvious electronic elements mixed in, clearly indicating a combination of technology and ruthlessness.

As soon as she finished speaking, Xiao Cheng knew she had guessed correctly. She breathed a slight sigh of relief, cleared her throat, and asked sternly, "You still know this is your father?!"

The false god felt inexplicably guilty at her question, and awkwardly withdrew his tentacles, almost curling himself into a ball: "Who...are you? Do you know my father?"

"Hmph." Xiao Cheng sneered, "I was briefly your father's father!"

No problem, she had bought on credit from the repairman, but these days it's always the father who's in debt.

Then the false god suddenly knelt down with his eight tentacles and shouted in a dramatic voice, "Grandpa!"

Xiao Cheng: "..."

Xu Chu: "..."

Number 7 was limping along, helping Number 4, when he suddenly saw this scene and was completely shocked: "Holy crap, what plot point did I miss? How did we suddenly become family?!"

The false god looked at Xiao Cheng and the photograph in her hand with utmost sincerity: "Grandpa, please tell me where my father is! He created me and then abandoned me. Now I must go and find him!"

Xiao Cheng was slightly taken aback, then gave a sincere and kind smile, pointed in the direction of the village entrance, and said slowly, "Go that way, keep going straight, and you will see an amusement park. Your father is in the amusement park."
