The restaurant owner stared at the massive influx of undead that suddenly appeared like a tidal wave, and felt a sense of dread that they were about to burst the restaurant. Fortunately, none of these undead had physical forms, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Just then, the restaurant suddenly began to shake violently, as if it had been hit by an earthquake. The walls began to crack, and white pieces of the roof slid off like raindrops.
He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, wondering to himself: Is his shop really going to be overwhelmed by so many undead?
"Ah!" The diners cried out in alarm.
However, some people had an excited glint in their eyes, as if they were expecting an unexpected event to happen.
Phil Gray quickly brushed aside the dust and unidentified objects that had fallen onto the table, leaped to his feet, and warily watched the surrounding movements.
Yi Lai Zhe hugged the freshly roasted lizard tightly, as if it were his most precious treasure, afraid that it would get even a speck of dust on it. His eyes were filled with annoyance, as if he was furious that his meal had been ruined.
The spirits around him were also affected by his emotions, their faces contorted and they let out silent roars.
“It seems like something has broken in…” Eli’s voice was serious.
Before he could finish speaking, a loud crash was heard, and the restaurant walls collapsed completely like shattered porcelain, revealing a huge figure standing before everyone.
It was a gigantic zombie, as large as a small mountain, emitting a nauseating stench. Maggots writhed incessantly on its rotting skin, a truly horrifying sight.
"Such a tall zombie!" Phil Gray exclaimed. It seemed their restaurant had been mercilessly trampled and collapsed by this zombie.
"Wow, such a big thing. Looks like someone's gone to great lengths for the papacy." Yi Lai Zhe looked up, a disdainful sneer on his lips.
"What do you mean? You mean this zombie was sent by those candidates?" Phil Gray squinted and pressed for an answer.
"Otherwise what? These god-level zombies and undead would need to be cultivated for at least a thousand years, right? Only a few families have that kind of foundation, right?" Yi Lai Zhe swallowed the roasted lizard in a few bites and then said, "Besides, isn't its target quite obvious?"
Before the words were even finished, the enormous zombie's foot stomped down on the three of them like a mountain crushing eggs.
"Damn it, the restaurant space has been sealed off, what a despicable tactic!" They moved quickly, only to find that a black barrier, like an impenetrable wall, tightly surrounded them, making escape impossible.
"Gah gah gah!" The zombie let out a piercing scream, its two feet stomping incessantly like a mad hammer, instantly turning the restaurant into ruins.
The guests who were just eating were turned into piles of minced meat under this merciless trampling.
But for those who seek death, perhaps this fulfills their desire?
It's really hard to judge whether it's good or bad!
The restaurant owner, riding a skeleton bird, teetered precariously in mid-air, like a candle flickering in the wind, on the verge of tears.
The restaurant he had run for decades had become like this, and he was so saddened that he forgot to pursue death.
Phil Gray put on white gloves, and the Blazing Sun Sword materialized in his hand. The flames of dawn burned fiercely as he slashed towards the barrier with unstoppable momentum.
White smoke billowed from the barrier, and a small crack appeared, but it quickly returned to normal.
The giant zombie noticed the movement of the ant-sized human beneath its feet, roared, bent down, and slapped it down.
Phil Gray quickly dodged, his eyes serious. It seemed that to break the barrier, he would have to get rid of this zombie first.
Although the zombies are at the level of deified gods, they have no consciousness and only attack based on instinct. They have bodies with the divine power of deified gods, but they cannot exert the true power of deified gods—to summon gods. For them, dealing with them should not be difficult.
In order to conceal his identity, he cannot use many skills openly, and he may have to go through a lot of trouble.
"Let's take him down together!" he shouted, rubbing his wrist.
Eli nodded and quickly used his skills. After becoming a Deathbringer, he gained four exclusive skills: "Visitor from the Abyss," "Bone Spike Assault," "Soul Chains," and "Mourning Song."
He speculated that these were originally his sister's skills, and that once his sister left his soul space, he would be able to regain his original status as a life-giver.
"Visitors from the Abyss!" he murmured. This time, there were no fancy moves. A black mist flashed, and several small green-skinned zombies emerged from the ground. They climbed onto the large zombie's corpse one after another, using their teeth to bite and stop the large zombie's attacks.
However, it didn't cause any real damage. The giant zombie simply shook its body, and the zombies fell down one by one.
He gritted his teeth and said angrily, "Bone spur attack!"
Sharp bone spikes pierced the giant zombie's feet and thighs, but only slightly slowed its stomping speed.
Frank was a member of the Light of Wisdom in life. Although he remained in the abyss as an undead, his main skills were still those of the Light of Wisdom. Obviously, they were of no use to a zombie without wisdom, so Frank could only stand by and watch helplessly.
Phil Gray had already wielded the Sunblade and was slashing at the zombies. The scorching morning flames were the natural nemesis of the undead, leaving scorched marks on the zombies' ugly skin.
"The zombie's weakness is its brain. Stab your sword into its brain, and it'll be done with it!" Yi Leizhe's voice came from behind. Phil Gray turned around and watched as the other man calmly dodged the zombie's relentless stomping feet without making a move.
"Okay, I got it. But don't just stand there watching the fun, come lend a hand!"
After Phil Gray finished replying, he nimbly climbed onto the giant zombie's body, but the giant zombie was no pushover. It roared and secreted a layer of green slime from its skin. The slime gradually formed bubbles, which then burst, forcing Phil Gray to jump off its body again.
If no one else had been present, he would have spread his Wings of Dawn. Unfortunately, these wings had caused a sensation at the Cult of Destiny's ceremony and had become the symbol of the Pope of Destiny, so he could not reveal his identity.
"Fly up on my skeleton bird!"
The shopkeeper flew to Phil Gray's side, jumped off the skeleton bird, and said to him.
Phil Gray did not refuse and jumped onto the bird's back. The skeleton bird was clearly an intelligent undead creature. It let out a cry and charged towards the head of the giant zombie.
Seeing the man and bird flying towards it, the giant zombie opened its mouth, emitting a foul stench. Then, pieces of rotting entrails spewed out of its mouth, swirling in the air and transforming into venomous snakes that lunged at Phil Gray.
Phil Gray dodged to the side, and the snakes crashed to the ground, emitting plumes of black smoke, before turning back into rotting entrails.
He propelled the skeleton bird upwards, approaching the giant zombie's head.
Eli activated "Soul Chains," and the giant zombie paused for a few seconds, as if frozen in time.
Phil Gray raised the Sunblade and thrust it with all his might toward the giant zombie's head.
Suddenly, the giant zombie swung its arm, sending Phil Gray and the bird flying.
Eli also spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling dizzy. He had just forcibly used "Soul Chains" to bind the giant zombie, but the zombie broke through his restraints.
Phil Gray adjusted his posture in mid-air and landed steadily.
“This guy is pretty tough to deal with!” Phil Gray said through gritted teeth.
At this moment, he saw countless ghosts rushing towards the giant zombie. They covered the zombie's body like swarms of ants, devouring its already rotting flesh.
The giant zombie roared and shook off many of the undead clinging to it, but there were just too many of them, and it couldn't break free at all.
Those are the undead behind Ilraz! Phil Gray was somewhat surprised; it seemed his undead could be used for attacks.
"Now!" Yi Lai Zhe shouted.
Phil Gray nodded, and took the opportunity to leap onto the skeleton bird again, charging towards the giant zombie. This time, he successfully plunged the Sunfire Sword into the giant zombie's head.
The giant zombie seemed to have gone mad, ignoring the undead clinging tightly to its body, and began to struggle and roar violently within the barrier.
Phil Gray's pupils suddenly contracted as he saw the zombie's foot unconsciously step on the restaurant owner who couldn't dodge in time.
"Damn it!" he cursed under his breath, flying downwards, but all that remained on the spot was a puddle of mud.
At this moment, the giant zombie finally ended its final struggle, letting out a dull "plop" before collapsing to the ground.
