The god of fate sent him a gift, which was personally delivered to him?
Phil Gray decided that he would never again complain about this god in his mind and apologized to Him for his rudeness when he first arrived in this world.
"Cousin, you, you, you, how could this happen? Why did this happen?" Patrick was incredulous.
“I’m not sure either. Maybe I’m somehow connected to the divine power of these scales,” Phil Gray shook his head.
Patrick gave a thumbs up.
The scales weren't very big. He took off his Daydream gloves and touched every part of the scales.
The message of the scales slowly emerged in my mind: I needed to recognize the Lord and connect the scales with His soul.
Soul? How do I connect with the soul?
Just as he was struggling with this problem, the scales flew up to his head with a hum, and he heard a childish voice in his ear, "Master, please establish a connection with me quickly."
"How do I connect?" he asked.
"Huh?" Patrick was counting the bottles of poison he had just collected and looked at him in confusion.
It seems he can't hear the sound.
“It’s nothing, the scales are just letting me connect with them.”
Patrick looked shocked and envious, then gave a thumbs up.
"Master, close your eyes, empty your mind and body, feel your soul float out of your body, and touch me with your soul," the child said in a sweet, childish voice.
“Okay.” Phil Gray tried it and it was a magical feeling. He had tried meditation before on Earth, but it always ended with him falling asleep. But today, he felt his whole body floating up and touching the scales floating in front of him.
"Alright, it's a success, Master!" Tianping's voice was filled with joy.
Phil Gray opened his eyes, feeling a sense of relief as if he had landed on solid ground.
It wasn't until Ernest grabbed him and ran outside that he cried out, "Your Majesty, this cave is about to collapse!"
Rock fragments fell down one after another, giving the feeling that the sky was falling and the earth was collapsing. Even after leaving the cave, it was still the same.
"Oh no, I took the core of this space, and this space is about to collapse." Phil Gray's expression changed.
They climbed to the mountainside, and it was nearly dawn. The morning light pierced through the clouds, slowly illuminating the entire earth. They saw the transparent water's boundary crack, and the whole space shook.
“What would happen if space collapsed?” Phil Gray asked.
“I don’t know, maybe it will disappear? Or maybe it will border the real world?” Patrick speculated.
Phil Gray frowned.
Fortunately, the space quickly returned to calm. Looking into the distance, they saw that the boundary of the water had disappeared, and what they saw was an endless wasteland with scattered houses and a few neat farmlands.
“Great! This space has entered the real world, and the residents of the town can finally see the outside world they’ve always longed for,” Patrick said excitedly.
“Yes, and since I took the scales with me, they shouldn’t be able to reverse aging anymore, so they can live a normal life now.” Phil Gray smirked.
“We mustn’t tell the leader that we’ve obtained the scales,” Phil Gray instructed.
“Of course, of course, cousin, trust me, my acting skills aren’t bad either,” Patrick patted his chest and assured him.
"Master, I have maintained this space for nearly a thousand years. I can't hold on much longer. I need to rest for a while."
The sound of balance came from beside me, weak and listless.
"Can this balance still be used?" Phil Gray asked, somewhat disappointed.
"Of course you can. The remaining divine power can be used once a day. The scales can be used to exchange the fates of two items or two people. The higher your level, the more divine power you have, and the longer the exchange will last. Of course, it also depends on who you are using it on..." The scales seemed to have not finished speaking when the voice disappeared completely.
Seeing Phil Gray frowning, Patrick asked, "Cousin, what's wrong? Did the connection work?"
"It's a success, but the consciousness of this sacred object has fallen into slumber and needs time to recover."
"Consciousness? This sacred object actually produced a Holy Spirit!" Patrick exclaimed in surprise.
“The Holy Spirit? Hmm, from now on I’ll call you Little Tian,” Phil Gray said to the scales, though the Holy Spirit inside probably couldn’t hear him.
“Let’s go find them,” Patrick said.
“Wait, we need to take his body away. It wouldn’t be good if the chief saw it here.”
"OK."
Everyone in the town felt the violent fluctuations in space and gathered in the town center. When Phil Gray arrived, he saw the mayor and the others with tears streaming down their faces. "Finally, we can finally see the outside world again."
The leader frowned as he watched Phil Gray and his two companions approach.
"What happened? The core of the space is gone?"
“It’s that Mr. Dwyer. He’s not a believer in the god of knowledge and wisdom at all, but a plague maker. He’s the one who poisoned the town. He did it to find the core of the space, and he did find it. He captured me last night, but thankfully I was rescued by two friends. However, he managed to escape.” Phil Gray said with a bitter smile, his face pale.
The leader was skeptical. "That surge of divine power just now... the core of the space is at the North Peak?"
"yes."
"Is there the scales of fate?" the chief asked, staring into his eyes.
“I don’t know either. He poisoned me, and I’ve been feeling dizzy and disoriented ever since. I don’t even know what happened,” Phil Gray shook his head.
Do you have a space stone? Let me see your space stone.
Phil Gray and the other two hesitated, looking at their leader with some displeasure. However, since their leader had regained his divine-level strength after the spatial collapse, they still handed over their respective space stones.
However, there was nothing that shouldn't be in their space stone.
He stared intently into Phil Gray's eyes and murmured, "Fate reversed!"
Phil Gray felt a chill run down his spine. Could this be a skill similar to the Eye of Fate?
Before he could think any further, he saw the leader looking at him in disbelief, "How can it not work? What's going on?"
Phil Gray didn't say anything, but looked at him with some displeasure.
The leader frowned. "You should all go back and rest. He poisoned the townspeople again last night, and your friend is still treating them." With that, he walked towards the North Peak.
"Master, I really need to go to sleep now. Thank you for the name you gave me. I like it very much." The voice of Tianping rang in my mind. It turned out that Tianping had just used his last bit of divine power to disable the leader's skill.
The scales were already connected to his soul; he had long since placed them deep within his soul.
"Phew, you're so smart, cousin," Patrick said in a low voice.
Phil Gray smiled. The space stone that had been hiding "Dwyer's" body was his own, and it was still under the stone slab at the entrance of town. Eli must have already gone to retrieve it.
This was something they had arranged in advance last night.
