Chapter 294 Battle Against the Evil God

Following the undead knights, Phil Gray and Night arrived near a cave.

So the Legion of the Dead is stationed here, and it's quite well hidden.

They ventured deep into the cave and, sure enough, found the legion commander discussing something with his men.

Phil Gray took out a mask from his spatial storage and put it on, revealing himself to the world, which startled all the knights present.

"Your Holiness the Pope?" The legion commander was shocked. "What are you doing here?"

"His Holiness the Pope?"

Some of the undead knights who had never seen the Pope before understood the identity of the person in front of them when they heard the legion commander address him in this way. They all knelt down and paid their respects. However, why did their Pope appear and disappear so mysteriously?

What kind of tactic is this?

"I'll take care of those three gods." Phil Gray smiled slightly, making the matter of confronting the gods sound as simple as eating a dish.

Of course, his and Night's main plan was to drive these three gods out of the human world; their current strength was not enough to completely destroy them.

The Legion of the Dead were instantly filled with admiration for His Holiness the Pope. They had been fighting against the members of the Red-Eyed Order here for the past few days and knew very well how powerful the enemy was.

After his initial excitement, the legion commander became somewhat worried: "Are you sure you can succeed?"

Phil Gray neither nodded nor shook his head. "I'll give it my best. Briefly describe the situation here. Is there anything unusual, like whether they've built an altar and used human blood sacrifices?"

The legion commander's expression turned serious: "Indeed, as you said, after we arrived here, we sent people infiltrated and discovered that they were building a giant altar. Every three days, they would have people smear the altar with blood. Some of the sacrifices were people they secretly captured from various places, and some were even believers within their ranks who volunteered to be sacrificed."

Sure enough, they were already eager to summon the gods of the Abyss, a cold glint flashing in Phil Gray's eyes.

“We’ve been secretly controlling some of their followers these past few days, but it seems they’ve already noticed. However, those gods seem focused on the sacrifices and haven’t paid any attention to our clandestine actions,” the legion commander added.

"Alright, I understand. It's already evening. Tomorrow morning, you will lead your knights deep into the Red-Eyed Order's stronghold and clean up the mess for me. It's time to settle everything here." Phil Gray glanced at the sky, casually uttered his last words, and his figure continued to disappear into the darkness.

The legion commander and the other knights were startled, and after a moment of silence, they burst into enthusiastic shouts.

Their emperor is so handsome.

...

"Are you ready?" Hei Ye rubbed his hands together, staring at the towering red castle.

"certainly."

As soon as Phil Gray finished speaking, he heard a voice suddenly in his ear, a cold tone belonging only to the god of death: "Your enemy who brings death, I will fight alongside you."

"What's wrong?" Hei Ye asked quickly when he saw him suddenly freeze.

"It's as if I heard the words of the god of death, who said he would fight alongside us."

"Oh, then there's even less to worry about. Speaking of which, since He has the time, why doesn't He do it himself? Those three gods are clearly His servants, hmph," Black Night said with dissatisfaction.

"Because I cannot go to the human world for the time being, you expel them from the bodies of those three humans, and I will go directly to their divine kingdoms to completely destroy them."

The voice appeared directly in their ears, responding to the night's complaints, and it wasn't the voice of the god of death issuing a maxim, but directly Wilder's voice.

"Heh, not going to keep up the act, Death Knight?" Night's displeasure vanished, replaced by an expression that seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold.

Phil Gray shrugged; he had guessed right.

The god of death did not respond, whether out of guilt or for some other reason, it was unclear.

He rolled his eyes, occasionally bestowing titles and positions upon himself, and often playing the fool to deceive others—only this funny guy could do such a thing.

"Alright, we need to get down to business." Phil Gray became serious, picked up the Night, and slipped into the Blood Castle under the cover of shadows.

The castle's interior was chilling, with various human and animal remains hanging on the walls and placed on tables, still wet with blood and emitting an indescribable stench.

Phil Gray couldn't help but frown. The night was rushing past him, and he kept up closely. It seemed that the night had already sensed the location of the three gods.

I don't know how many flights of stairs I climbed, but the darkness suddenly stopped. All the hairs on my body stood on end, and my eyes stared warily ahead.

A familiar figure appeared before them—it was the possessed Prince Vincent!

The man and the cat held their breath instantly as they saw "Son Vincent" talking to his followers.

The believer knelt on the ground trembling. The next moment, his whole body began to tremble violently, and under the horrifying gaze of "Son of Vincent," he turned into a pool of blood on the ground.

"Guests have come from afar; if we don't treat them well, we should be punished."

The voice, seven parts madness and three parts coldness, made Phil Gray realize that He had discovered them.

The man and the cat exchanged a glance and simultaneously charged toward "Vincent's Holy Son".

A black curtain of night descended from the sky, completely obscuring the light in their area. Phil Gray and the darkness itself became elusive ghosts, making them impossible for the enemy to spot.

"interesting."

"The Holy Son of Vincent" sneered and snapped his fingers lightly. Suddenly, several dark clouds appeared above their heads, crackling with lightning. The clouds seemed to contain powerful energy capable of tearing people to shreds. With a flick of his finger, lightning poured out, darting wildly through the night.

As Phil Gray dodged the lightning, he merged the Death Scythe into the Sunblade before slashing at His back.

"The Holy Son of Vincent" sensed movement beside him, but could not see Phil Gray. When the blade appeared behind him, he immediately turned around, his arm turning into hard rock, blocking the sword.

His face twisted into a sinister grin, and suddenly his brow split open, revealing a red eye.

"Get out of the way!" Night shouted.

Phil Gray knew this might be the opponent's ultimate move, so he immediately dodged away at lightning speed and erected a wall of fate behind him.

A beam of red light shot out from the eye, turning everything in its path into gray smoke, even tearing a hole in the darkness of night.

"This is His Eye of Doom, you must not let it gaze upon you..."

The night had transformed into a gigantic cat-like beast, spewing star-shaped meteorites from its mouth at "Saint Vincent" while explaining to Phil Gray.

It seems this is the god of disaster. Phil Gray continued to ambush Him from his side. In the darkness of night, they were as if they were invisible, making it very difficult for the enemy to deal with.

"Stop watching the show and come out to eliminate these two little bugs!" the God of Disaster couldn't help but say.

"Hahaha."

Accompanied by eerie laughter, the entire space was distorted by an invisible force, as if countless hands were tearing at the night sky, trying to rip it apart.

Not to be outdone, the night let out a meow, and then its power expanded rapidly, encompassing the other two gods who had appeared.

It ground its canine teeth and smirked: "Now that the actors have all taken the stage, let's put on a good show!"

The night sky transformed into a giant stage, with the rising stars and moon acting as stage lights, illuminating the three deities at the very center.

Melody, possessed by the god of plague, and Caroline, possessed by the god of disease, spoke up: "Child of the Night? You're still alive?"

"Of course, get the hell out of their bodies and go back to your doghouse, and I might spare your lives!"

As for what will happen to the God of Death who guards the gates of their divine kingdom after they return, that's none of its business.

Melody twisted her head, revealing a sinister smile: "You're too arrogant. Since you didn't die back then, then die by our hand today. Believe me, my lord will love your fur."

After speaking, His body emitted countless green spore-like particles, which spun rapidly and transformed into a storm that swept towards the night.

Caroline also raised her hand, and wisps of gray mist gathered into faces that roared in pain, opening their mouths and rushing towards them.

Phil Gray erected a wall of fate, and at this moment, he held nothing back, declaring, "Dawn Descends!"

In the darkness, a golden sun appeared out of nowhere, creating a rare scene where stars, the moon, and the sun appeared together.

He opened his eyes, and his pupils had turned golden!
