Chapter 27 Reliving Youth

Phil Gray alighted from the carriage and immediately saw a huge statue. Like the Church of Fate, a statue of the god of life, Kasa, also stood here.

Several priests dressed in light green robes were praying beneath the statue.

Since they had already wasted a lot of time, they didn't have time to observe carefully and went straight into the cathedral.

This place is full of life; you can almost smell the faint fragrance of flowers in the air and hear birds chirping. Anyone who enters here will feel refreshed and will marvel at the greatness of life.

"Praise be to the God of life!" the merchant exclaimed.

The cathedral's decorations are fresh and natural, quite different from other churches that pursue a style of excessive gold and splendor.

"Are you here for the flower show?" the priest at the entrance asked with a smile, probably sensing the divine energy emanating from them.

"Yes."

"It's on the second floor, it's already started, and we've reached the eighth contestant so far," the priest explained, leading them upstairs.

The second floor has an extremely spacious exhibition hall, and the layout inside is exactly the same as what Phil Gray saw in the Eye of Fate scene.

It's not as crowded as the square, and even the audience has their own seats.

They arrived late and could only sit in the last row.

Phil Gray also noticed the old man in the light green robe holding a scepter, who was sitting in the front row. In the scene he saw, this old man would present Eli with an award and give him that strange flower. He might be the Archbishop of the Church of Life in Durr.

The flower show on the stage continued. A young girl walked up. She was wearing a white dress and had long golden hair. She held a purple flower in her hand, which looked like a rose. She introduced it with a smile, "This is the Purple Nether Rose that I cultivated. As long as you eat a single petal of it, you can conceal your divine power fluctuations for a whole day."

The girl immediately plucked a petal and put it in her mouth to demonstrate the effect of the petal.

The first row below the stage must have been filled with judges. They nodded, exchanged a few words, and then gave their scores.

Next up is the next contestant.

The merchants watched with great interest. The flower show of the Gods' Chosen Ones was indeed different from ordinary flower shows. The flowers they cultivated or collected all had special properties and were more precious.

Phil Gray was also very interested. He looked at the audience in front of him, most of whom seemed to be favored by the god of life, and they all had a strong aura of life on them.

On stage, flowers of various colors and types were displayed one after another. Some of them could cure patients with their fragrance, some could create hallucinations after being ingested, and there were even flowers that could be used as weapons. They were truly vying for attention.

But it was almost noon, and Eli still hadn't come on.

"He wouldn't just skip it, would he? That would mean there's no way to prove the truth of what you saw, and he wouldn't have to fulfill the contract," Patrick asked in a low voice, clearly not having considered this possibility.

"Let's wait a little longer."

Fortunately, Eli came on stage near the end, still dressed in his black suit, looking very elegant.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the flowers I brought today will absolutely amaze you. I dare say even a high-ranking divine favorite would be captivated by them."

A white flower appeared out of thin air in Eli's hand. It had only three petals and looked rather ordinary, not as vibrant as the previous flowers.

"My flower is called Rejuvenation!"

"My beautiful ladies, do you wish to return to your youth? With skin as smooth as milk, rosy cherry lips, and sun-kissed blonde hair... Aren't you yourselves the most beautiful flowers?" Eli described with deep emotion.

Some of the female devotees in the audience were tempted.

“But we all know that only those who are divine or quasi-divine can break through the limitations of time and life, and those two levels are so far beyond our reach.” Eli’s voice lowered.

"But my flower can restore youth. Just by consuming one of its petals, you can return to your most beautiful moment within three days. This is a miracle bestowed upon us by the god of life! Which lady would like to be the subject of my demonstration?"

Many of the female believers raised their hands.

"Hmm, this lady will do." He casually pointed.

She was a noblewoman in her forties, wearing a black lace dress, with long gray hair and an elegant demeanor. Although her face showed some signs of age, it was clear that she must have been very beautiful in her youth.

"Thank you." She hadn't expected to be chosen and went on stage with a hint of surprise.

Eli kissed the back of her hand and plucked a petal from the three-petaled flower. "Beautiful lady, relive your beautiful youth!"

The audience held their breath and stared at the lady.

A white mist emanated from her body, an extremely dense aura of life that even Phil Gray and the others in the last row could sense.

In no time, the white mist dissipated, and a beautiful young lady appeared in the spot.

You can vaguely make out what that lady looked like when she was young.

She still had long gray hair and looked to be in her early twenties. Her bright green eyes were as clear and captivating as jade, with slightly upturned corners that gave her a playful and cute appearance. The skin on her face and neck was fair and delicate, like freshly made milk pudding.

She stared incredulously at the mirror in Eli's hand, a look of surprise on her face, which made her look even more like a vibrant young girl.

"How is that possible?"

"Oh God, praise be to the God of life!"

The people favored by the gods below the stage were in an uproar and began to discuss it.

"Ladies and gentlemen, only flowers and beautiful women should not be wasted." Eli bowed slowly and stepped off the stage, just like his performance in the tavern that day.

"Wow, this lady was really beautiful when she was young!" Ernest's eyes widened.

"This is truly incredible! By the God of Life, how is this possible?" The merchant was also extremely surprised.

It seems Eli will indeed be number one. Then the flower that might be the reward should appear soon. What kind of flower could cause so many deaths? The audience below the stage are all favored by the gods.

Phil Gray fell into deep thought.

The commotion caused by Eli quickly subsided, and a moment later, the old man who appeared to be the bishop of the Church of Life walked onto the stage. He announced with a smile, "I'm sure you've all guessed who has the highest score. It's Mr. Eli. Now I will present him with the glory that belongs to the first place."

It's here!

Phil Gray stared intently at the stage, holding his breath.
