Chapter 499: The Power System of the Faerun World

Hearing what his companions said, Jaheira rolled his eyes at them speechlessly.

"What's so strange about this? You're really surprised by what you've seen. Since you've never heard of it, it means the other party isn't a local resident. In my opinion, they're probably from outside."

She explained lightly.

"Outsiders?!"

The others all cried out in surprise at Jaheira's words.

"Shut up!"

Jaheira hushed them with a gentle rebuke.

Her eyes were firm and calm, containing the vicissitudes and wisdom of the years.

"Today's Faerun is no longer the relatively closed world it once was. As time goes by, more and more outsiders are pouring into this land. Angels, demons, devils, and even that disgusting group of mind flayers, they all try to establish their own sphere of influence here."

Jaheira's voice was filled with a hint of fatigue, but more of a sense of helplessness towards reality. She was well aware of the threat these alien races posed and the chaos they could cause.

"However, we can't treat all outsiders as enemies. Through initial negotiations, I've discovered that this newly emerged force, at least on the surface, appears to be no different from humans. This gives me a sense of reassurance. Perhaps they aren't completely untrustworthy."

Jaheira sighed softly and continued:

"And judging from the current situation, this race seems to be more inclined towards the neutral camp."

"Of course, whether they are neutral-chaotic or neutral-good requires further observation. But regardless, such an alien race is far better than demons who wish to bring chaos to the world."

Her tone revealed a strong sense of disgust, which was the attitude of the entire continent towards demons.

After all, demons always take pleasure in destruction and chaos, bringing endless disasters to the entire continent.

"Compared to the angels who only preach justice and order, this race also appears to be more pragmatic."

"While the angels' intentions may seem noble, they often become so obsessed with so-called justice that they lose sight of practical issues."

A subtle flicker of contempt flashed in Jaheira's eyes.

She took a deep breath and then said slowly:

"We should remain vigilant against them, but at the same time, we should also give this new force a chance."

"After all, in this world full of dangers and unknowns, any possible ally is worth cherishing. Only in this way can we better cope with future challenges."
