Chapter 761 Preaching

Life in Tianlei Temple began like this. Although Long Junhai was also one of the members, few people asked about his situation. Occasionally, Hui Pu and others would come to ask, but to put it bluntly, it was also to ask Long Junhai to cook some meat dishes for them to satisfy their hunger.

Long Junhai always responds to requests. Although he cannot buy expensive ingredients, he can still easily prepare an ordinary chicken and a fish.

HP and the others were very happy about this, because Long Junhai could usually make vegetarian dishes very delicious, and occasionally making a meat dish was simply a delicacy!

Because of this, Long Junhai and several big monks became more and more familiar with each other, and the content of their conversations gradually increased.

It was a rainy day, and the monks in the temple had nothing to do. There were no pilgrims going up the mountain to worship Buddha. Long Junhai had prepared the meals long ago. Although the meals were usually vegetarian, everyone enjoyed them. It had been more than three months, and in the past, seven or eight monks would escape every month, but now there were only three, so there were still thirty monks left.

Today, Long Junhai was able to sit in the main hall and listen to the old abbot explain the scriptures. Although the old abbot usually spoke in a vulgar manner, his understanding of the scriptures was very profound and he spoke very clearly. Unfortunately, the monks who were listening to the scriptures were all drowsy because they really had no interest.

Long Junhai listened to a lot of scriptures in this world, and felt that they were similar to the scriptures in the several worlds he had experienced before. Although they were different worlds, goodness was goodness, and Buddhism was a place that encouraged people to be good. If there was a Buddha who encouraged people to be evil, then he was definitely not a Buddha, but a demon!

Of course, not everyone can distinguish this kind of thing. After all, everyone has different five elements and their cognition is also different.

Seeing that no one was interested in listening to his lecture, the old abbot knocked on the wooden fish and said, "You scoundrels, you are ignorant and unlearned all day long. You can't listen to the scriptures, you can't eat vegetarian food, and you can't endure hardship. How will you survive in this turbid world in the future?"

"Abbot, what is the world outside like? When can we go out and see it? Do we have to chant scriptures in the temple all the time?" Long Junhai asked with a smile.

The old abbot was stunned when he heard this. He looked at Long Junhai and smiled, then said, "Wu Fan, that's a good question. When can you leave? When you have the ability to stir up the world, you can leave Tianlei Temple."

"How much ability does it take to stir up the world?" Long Junhai asked again.

"It depends on personal understanding. You can leave this mountain gate whenever you think you can. Some monks cannot even recite the Diamond Sutra completely, and can only be considered half-Buddhists. If you come down from the mountain and become an ordinary person, you can seek wealth and honor. But if you want to stir up the world, you will definitely be the first target to be strangled, because the weak have no ability to survive. The weak can only be controlled by the strong. This is the law of survival in the world!" The old abbot said, shaking his head.

Long Junhai nodded. This was indeed the case. Without strength, nothing could be done. Even if one changed ten thousand worlds, the laws of nature would be roughly the same, because this was the rule of the cycle of yin and yang in nature. How could it remain still? If so, the whole world would be like a stagnant pool of water, with no vitality at all.

At this time, Long Junhai asked again: "Abbot, what is there in the outside world? How are those realms divided?"

"It's hard to say, because even I can't know all the situations in this world, so everything depends on your own abilities. The strength realm I know now is divided like this. From the perspective of our Buddhist disciples, first are little novices like you, who only know how to chant sutras and pray to Buddha. Then there are practitioners, which are the level of your three masters. With a certain amount of strength, they can break monuments and split rocks, and fly with air. Then there are monks like me, and only people at my level can be considered real monks. You are not even real beginners yet. Monks can use Buddhist teachings to resist evil spirits, which means they have their own magic power. Above them are masters, Buddhas, Arhats, Venerables, Dharma Protectors, Bodhisattvas, Living Buddhas, and Buddhas. Of course, I have no idea what realm their specific strength has reached. I have never even seen a master above the Arhat. Perhaps only the Great Leiyin Temple thousands of miles away has such a master? Correspondingly, other sects are basically divided into this level, but with different names." The old abbot said a lot in one breath.

Long Junhai nodded. After what the other party said, he basically understood it. However, this understanding was not very thorough. He just had a rough idea.

So Long Junhai asked again: "Then how are those evil spirits divided?"

"There are many types of evil spirits. To put it simply, they are demons and ghosts. Demons are animals that have cultivated, demons are humans who have fallen into the devil's way, ghosts are the souls of living beings that have cultivated after death, and monsters are the souls of some unreasonable things that have cultivated. These are all alien species outside of humans and are very harmful to humans. Our slogan is to eradicate demons and ghosts all day long, but I think that to those demons and ghosts, we are also alien species to them. There is no need to eradicate them or not. As long as we get along peacefully with each other, it's fine. Of course, if we really fight, there is no need to be polite. In fact, if you think about it, even among humans, there are many disputes and frictions. These are all inevitable. Sometimes people harming each other is even more terrifying. So it is not easy to live in this world. If you want to understand everything, it is impossible. And even if you understand everything, what can you do? Do you still want to control the whole world? If you really have that ability, I think it would be very boring."

What the old abbot said are all true words, but most people cannot listen to them and cannot do them at all. But no matter what, it is not easy to have such a heart.

Long Junhai has a deep understanding of this. If he really has a great supernatural power that can reach the sky, there will be nothing he is interested in. It is precisely because of his weakness that he has more interests, and this makes life interesting.

"Abbot, can I succeed in my cultivation?" Long Junhai suddenly asked again.

The abbot smiled and said, "Why not? Even a dead object like a stone in this world, if it has its own opportunity, can become a powerful being in the world, and even become a Buddha on the spot! You must never underestimate yourself!"
