The next morning, Zhao Jun woke up naturally at around eight o'clock.
Her plan for today was to take Qingliu to the Neishi Mansion to report in.
Then move all the books from her previous room here.
Finally, I studied papermaking with Juzi.
When she finished washing up and was about to go out to find Qingliu, she found that she was standing at Zhao Jun's door, which almost scared her.
"Qingliu, why are you standing there so early in the morning? You scared me to death." Zhao Jun covered his chest.
"I'm waiting for my Lord to wake up so he can tell me what to do."
Qing Liuduan stood and said respectfully.
"Well, you don't have to stand here and wait for me from now on. I'll call you if I need to go out. The rest of the time you can study on your own."
Zhao Jun felt very satisfied when he saw his subordinates who were eager to work.
"Yes, sir." Qingliu nodded in response.
"Okay, come with me to the Nei Shi Mansion now and get familiar with it first."
Zhao Jun led her out of the palace in a carriage.
Qingliu acted very calm along the way, but when the carriage actually left the palace gate, she couldn't help but look out through the window.
This was the first time she left the palace since entering it.
Eight years have passed, and Xianyang City seems to be no different, yet everything seems different.
Afterwards, Zhao Jun took her into the Nei Shi Mansion and introduced her to the various officials.
"This is my assistant Qing Liu. I have some things to do recently and can't come to the Nei Shi Mansion every day, so I sent her here to learn from you. If there is anything you are unsure about that cannot be solved, you can tell her and she will notify me."
Zhao Jun introduced Qingliu one by one.
The four leaders were very satisfied and respectful to Zhao Jun, and were willing to give face to the people she brought.
"Everyone, I apologize for causing you trouble in the future. I am also very grateful for your willingness to teach me. You are all my teachers. You can ask me for anything you need to run errands for."
Qingliu has lived in the palace for so many years, especially in the etiquette department, and the way he speaks and does things is very pleasant.
The other leaders were also more satisfied with her attitude.
Zhao Jun observed secretly without saying anything.
She has to walk her own path in the future. I can only provide a path, but how she lives her life depends on her own ability.
At present, Qingliu seems to be adapting well and there should be no problem.
She stayed in the Neishi Mansion for a while and then quickly rushed back to the palace.
After everything is arranged here, she can focus on papermaking.
When she arrived at the Mo family workshop, work was already in full swing.
This was a place Zhao Jun had never been to before. It was located at the back of the workshop and looked like a special workshop.
A large pile of bark and sackcloth was piled in one corner.
In just one night, all the wooden racks for papermaking tools were assembled.
Juzi brought people to clean up the tree bark.
"My lord, you are here." When Juzi saw her coming, he hurried to greet her.
"Sir, I will do as you said yesterday. I will first clean the bark and linen into sections, let them dry, and then pound them."
Juzi took her around and took a general look at the barks and frames.
Zhao Jun nodded, feeling that it was similar to what was said in the book, so now he just had to proceed step by step.
After that, Zhao Jun stayed in the workshop permanently. Except for occasionally visiting the Nei Shi Mansion, he stayed in the workshop all the time.
Another half month passed in a flash.
When Zhao Jun got the thin dark yellow paper, he almost burst into tears.
She held back, but Juzi didn't.
A grown man, carefully holding the freshly dried paper, cried bitterly.
Zhao Jun couldn't bear to watch.
Why so excited?
Although I have indeed experienced many tests in the past half month.
The drying and pounding were fine at the beginning, after all, it was just hard work, and the Mo family had no shortage of strength.
But the bark, linen and other things in the back are not in the right proportions and are colorful.
When adding water to wash the pulp, the water temperature is not right and it cannot coagulate.
Then comes the shaping of the wooden board. If the strength of the movement is not controlled well, it cannot take shape, or it may be too thick or too thin.
At the end, the drying temperature is not right and the sheets cannot be peeled off one by one.
And so on and so forth, all kinds of problems arise one after another.
Later on, Zhao Jun himself felt a little irritable.
But the Mo family did not show any impatience, which shocked Zhao Jun very much.
They maintained consistent focus and dedication from beginning to end, no matter what setbacks they encountered.
This is probably what later generations call the spirit of craftsmanship!
When the first piece of paper was produced, the whole workshop was in an uproar.
Everyone took a small piece of paper and admired it.
"Master Zhao, do you mean to write the words on it with ink?" asked the old man at the beginning.
"Yeah, let's try it out later to see how it works and whether it will smudge."
Mr. Zhao replied that it was necessary to try out the paper after it was made.
"Okay, okay, that's great."
The old man's eyes were moist. He was unable to go to school and learn to read when he was a child, and now he only knows a limited number of words.
If this kind of paper were produced and widely used by everyone, how many children would be able to go to school?
"Well, we've mastered the general process now, but the color is still different from what you said before. It's too yellow and not as good as pure white."
After the excitement, Juzi stared at the yellow paper in his hand, frowned and murmured.
Improvement, technology must be improved!
Then he led the craftsmen in the workshop to think about it.
