Chapter 160 Fake Ghost

It was a dark and windy night in mid-July.

Jiange County is located in the southwest of Da Qi. The terrain is mountainous and the county towns in the county are far apart, making it inconvenient for travelers and merchants to travel. Therefore, there are always some small villages along the way for people to transit and rest.

It is called a small village, but it is nothing more than a fence made of bamboo and wood, and pedestrians and merchants have to set up their own tents.

These villages are not managed by anyone and are just a place for travelers and merchants to huddle together and keep warm at night.

Fortunately, it was a hot day and there was no need to block the wind, so more than ten people sat on the ground together.

A fat man in brocade clothes is telling a story.

"You've all been well-traveled people, and you've heard a lot of stories about evil spirits, but have you ever heard of a story about a governing ghost?"

This fat man looks wealthy. People in the village call him Shopkeeper Li. It is said that he is a wealthy businessman in Jiange County.

"Hey, there are people in this world who control ghosts?"

The person who answered was a young man who looked quite strong and was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts.

The young man's hair was casually tied up, and judging from his appearance, he looked like a laborer.

But Shopkeeper Li has traveled all over the country, so how could he not have any sense?

Looking at it in the light of the fire at night, the young man's skin color was in sharp contrast to those rickshaw laborers beside him. Instead, he looked like a young master from a wealthy family.

Moreover, this young man is obviously a person who pays attention to details. There are no laborers on either side of him, which shows that he is afraid of getting dirty.

Shopkeeper Li's eyes lit up and he asked.

"We're all on the same side of the world, so stop calling me master or not. What's your name, brother?"

The young man grinned, revealing eight teeth, and smiled slightly.

"I dare not be your brother. My last name is Kong An. Please tell me your story, Master. We are very curious."

This young man's words are not entirely true. His name is Kong Hanan, not Kong An.

But who could blame him for being so deceptive with his thick eyebrows and big eyes? He eventually deceived the well-traveled shopkeeper Li.

Moreover, Manager Li actually misunderstood. It was not that Kong Hanan was avoiding the coolies, but that the Black and White Impermanence did not appear beside him. Even in the middle of summer, it was as cold as an ice cave. The coolies were avoiding him.

This is when Kong Hanan and his party set out to search for the lost souls of Yang Jian and others, and they accidentally arrived here.

Led by Kong Hanan, a group of rickshaw drivers started to make a fuss, clamoring to listen. Shopkeeper Li had had enough, so he cleared his throat and began to speak.

"This has nothing to do with the newly established Huangquansi of the imperial court. It's said that the underworld has set up a new government office to manage ghosts and monsters."

"Actually, this didn't happen to me. I heard about it a while ago."

Shopkeeper Li's ability in telling ghost stories is quite lacking. Although he tells ghost stories, his stories are not very scary.

The story has many mixed elements.

There is the legend of the apparition of Gu Chenghuang in Helue Town, the strange incident of Yimuwu Xiansheng in Pingyang Town, and the legend of the passing of the Black and White Impermanence ghost soldiers.

Kong Hanan had no interest in listening to this story. Shopkeeper Li didn't know as much as he did. He just wanted to hear what people thought of the underworld.

The hard-working people were listening with great interest, as what Manager Li said was new and fresh.

The rickshaw laborers had worked hard all day and were looking for something new and exciting in the middle of the night.

A gust of wind blew, bringing a chill that even the storyteller, Mr. Li, couldn't help but shiver.

Kong Hanan scolded through the "walkie-talkie" magical power.

"Li San, stop making trouble."

"Why? Why am I not included?"

Li San expressed his dissatisfaction with Manager Li's story.

Bai Wuchang chuckled and teased him deliberately: "You mean, your reputation should be wider than ours?"

Li San muttered softly, "That can't compare to you guys."

Kong Hanan jokingly asked, "So you think you can beat Master Gu?"

Thinking of Gu Qiang's incredible luck, Li San shuddered.

"But I'm definitely better than the Five Strange Ghosts."

Hei Wuchang finished his attack accurately: "At least they have their own little world, and I heard recently that there are also some who have reached the Ghost King Realm."

Li Mihai was silent...

Could it be that he really became the weakest captain in the underworld?

After all, he was the oldest brother who followed him the earliest. Kong Hanan was just about to smooth things over when he heard Li San exclaim.

“There’s a ghost!!”

Bai Wuchang chuckled, "Don't change the subject, kid. Lao Hei is urging you to practice quickly. With the two of us ghost immortals here, no ghost would dare to appear near us."

Li San transmitted a message: "It's true, but they are not real ghosts!"

Not a real ghost?

Playing tricks?

Kong Hanan perked up.

The Black and White Impermanence investigated and found that Yang Jian's missing soul was nearby, but their exact location still needed to be discovered, which was why Kong Hanan appeared here.

He wanted to see if he could get any information.

It's probably impossible to find out anything from this group of people who travel back and forth, but I'm afraid I can get something out of the guy who's playing tricks.

In the open-air village, Shopkeeper Li was speaking excitedly.

"So everyone, do more good deeds in the future, otherwise that soul will be taken away by the Black and White Evils."

Although the Black and White Impermanence occasionally appear in the human world, they do not deliberately make a name for themselves. Now they are simply called the Black and White Evils.

As he was speaking, the sound of a child crying echoed through the valley.

The voice was hoarse and heartbreaking.

The crying sound came from far away and was heard by everyone in the small village.

Manager Li stopped talking immediately, and the experienced driver immediately put out the fire, and the surroundings fell into darkness.

"It's the Buried Ghost!"

In the darkness, someone whispered a warning.

"Hurry up and lie down, pretend to be asleep, and don't make any noise!"

There are ghosts everywhere in this world, and there are many strange and bizarre ghosts. When you go out at night, you have to tack your head to your belt.
