The beginning is a summary of the additional content.
At the beginning of last month, I owed 20 chapters, and then a helmsman appeared, so I owed 21 chapters. I paid back 3 chapters, so I owed 18 chapters.
Last month, in addition to the 180 monthly tickets I received from daily updates, including the double activities and my own votes, there were also support from other platforms (currently I can only receive tickets from Qidian and QQ Reading), a total of 79 tickets.
I'll round it up and say 80.
So, I should have 26 chapters to go back, looking at the fan list. If there is no reward, and only looking at subscriptions, there may be a helmsman, so it will be counted as 27 chapters.
If one chapter has 2,000 words, there are 27 chapters, which equals 54,000 words.
Thank you for your continued support.
But unfortunately.
Starting this month, I will no longer calculate the extra chapters based on monthly tickets.
In fact, the plot of this book has already reached its later stages.
After I finish paying off the overdue updates, this book will probably be finished.
It is expected to be around the end of August or early September.
If July hadn't been so dark, I might have been preparing this speech by now.
I have grown a lot since I started writing.
The plot may not be easy to come by, but it is possible to open a new map, such as a world of a higher dimension, or the underworld of another country, and add a few more words.
It is also possible to create more realm levels above this.
but……
I don't think it's necessary.
After all, this is mainly a story about establishing the underworld.
I'm sorry, I didn't write it well, and I cut out a lot of stories and settings, which made the story seriously shortened.
I estimate it to be just over one million words.
So, 4000 a day + 120,000 a month, plus 54,000 for extra chapters, that’s about it.
After all, I still have to prepare a new book...
This month has been quite stressful, haha.
The following is a summary of the past few months. If you don’t want to read it, you can skip it.
I have been submitting articles since September last year.
As of February this year, the beginning of this story was the one that the editor had previously thought was acceptable, but the least promising. I still had a few more in hand, and the editor thought they might be better if they were polished.
What I thought at that time was that I should write it down to practice my writing skills first, and I also made plans to complete the course in three months on a single machine.
So we changed the editor.
This gentleman was very nice. He let me pass and occasionally gave me some advice.
Surprisingly, apart from my friends, I actually received support from many readers...
So, I had some ambitions at that time.
Because of this ambition, I made a very wrong decision during the second wave of recommendations.
It was probably at the same time that the Black and White Impermanence changed their names.
Someone once said to me, "Who would be interested in these ghost stories about the underworld? People like to watch the protagonist grow up, like to see him show off his talents, like to see him become a high-ranking official."
I should write about big scenes, for example, the killing of the emperor in Dafeng.
That was the first time I experienced a fluctuation in collections, and the main site was lost.
The first person who gave me a large reward since I started writing the book also deleted the commentary and book list of this chapter. I don’t know if he deleted the collection.
So I panicked...
So I changed the outline.
I swear to God, I only had about 50,000 words at that time?
I wrote 50,000 words for you to kill the emperor and write about the grand scenes. What else should I write after that?
At that time, there was an old man who said that I, the Ox-Head and Horse-Face, was still using the name of my previous life, which was confusing to the human world.
So I changed the names of Black and White Impermanence.
Not to mention the Black and White Impermanence's name change, there are still occasional people criticizing it, and I don't know how many readers it has lost.
And that old man has never provided me with a penny of subscription until now.
It’s not anyone’s fault. It was my own poor attitude at the time that led to these problems.
Looking back now, I regret changing the outline even more than changing the names of the Black and White Impermanence.
It was supposed to be a story about farming in the underworld, then returning to the human world to show off and recruit two subordinates.
My outline is also well prepared and the plot is going smoothly.
The forced insertion of a long plot about human government seems very abrupt.
Then, because I was not well prepared in this aspect, I started to get stuck on writing, was not satisfied with my writing, and was under a lot of pressure.
Before it was put on the shelves, I went through three rounds of recommendations, and failed in the third round.
During the second round of recommendations, I revised the outline. There was a book whose performance was not as good as mine before, but later it surpassed mine and was pushed to the shelves.
The average order volume on the first day of my listing was only 46, and many friends came to support me.
Although at that time, I expected the first average to be 10.
But the book that surpasses mine has 2000+
Where there is comparison, there is hurt.
The editor told me at the time that if it didn’t work, just cut it and the new book would be better.
I pondered for a long time that day.
But what caused all this was my mentality.
I promised the masters that I would work hard to finish the book, and I can't break the promise because of my own mistakes.
So I didn't cut it.
I have persisted in writing until now without any recommendation or other means.
I am very grateful to the readers who have followed me and the new readers who have joined.
Let’s return to the summary.
After changing the outline, there is a second question.
The original plan for the main plot of this book was to be in the underworld.
Many people complain that they are worried that the underworld will collapse if one day in heaven lasts for tens of thousands of years. This is not true.
Journey to the West popularized the concept of "one day in heaven equals one year on earth." Did it fail?
Everyone knows the plot of Journey to the West. The protagonists rarely go to the sky and come down not long after they go up, so this does not constitute a bug at all.
My dear, there is more to this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. It will be even more exciting later!
