Chapter 10: Bear Stance

Halfway through the walk, Qin Yuesheng suddenly stopped.

After thinking about it carefully, he felt that he should talk to Qin Feng about the strange things he encountered today and ask about the situation.

Many young people will subconsciously look down on their parents after they have gained a little more vision. They always feel that their parents do not know as much as they do and their experience in everything is not as good as theirs.

But what they overlook is that maybe their parents’ knowledge is indeed not as high as theirs, but the common sense and experience accumulated over decades of life, their parents still have some things you can learn from and benefit from. Maybe they happen to know a thing or two that you think your parents don’t know.

So Qin Yuesheng immediately turned around and asked, "Dad, I want to tell you something."

"Hey, go ahead."

After briefly recounting the incident of the white-faced people possessing the people on the streets and in Nanyan Baozhai, and concealing the matter about the Buddha statue, Qin Yuesheng noticed that Qin Feng's expression had changed significantly and became serious.

"Is this true?" Qin Feng asked.

Qin Yuesheng nodded: "Yes, I saw it with my own eyes, Dad, do you know what that white face is?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but this isn't the first time I've heard of this sort of thing. Over a decade ago, there was a Penglai Inn in Qingyang City. One night, the waiter, the chef, and thirty-six other guests were all murdered. According to the county magistrate, the innkeeper went insane and took a butcher knife from the kitchen to kill everyone, then committed suicide on the spot. When the detectives discovered him, the innkeeper's face was hideous and ferocious, his expression crazed. It's somewhat similar to what you're describing."

"How was it handled afterwards? Did the government investigate the matter thoroughly?"

"I can't investigate. Everyone in the inn is dead. How can we investigate if there's no evidence?"

"Did the government ask Taoist priests or monks to perform the ritual?"

"It's natural. Nearly half a hundred people have died. If we don't perform rituals to pray for their souls, who would dare to take over that shop in the future?"

Qin Yuesheng immediately became interested: "Dad, do you have any connections in this area? Find some powerful Taoist priests and monks to come to our house and have a chat."

"What are you going to do?"

"Hey, let's see if I can learn some skills from them. If I encounter a similar situation again in the future, I will have some self-defense methods."

If they were normal parents, they would definitely not do it if their children asked them to invite some Taoist priests or monks to their home.

But Qin Feng was different. He was obviously not a normal father and simply agreed to Qin Yuesheng's request.

It's no big deal if the child wants to learn skills from Taoist priests and monks. It can expand their business capabilities and increase their knowledge in related areas. Isn't that good? It's a good thing that children love to learn. It's rare to see such a good thing. We must satisfy their needs and arrange this matter as soon as possible.

After saying goodbye to Qin Feng, Qin Yuesheng left the Qin Mansion with several guards and went out to work in the blacksmith shop in the Qin family's business.

What happened that day really caused quite a stir in Qingyang City. Basically, people were discussing the matter in busy places like inns, teahouses, and brothels. As for the reason of epilepsy announced by the government, everyone was a smart person and naturally would not believe it.

It would be fine if it was just one epileptic, but several of them appeared at once, and they all went out on the streets with knives. Such an organized and premeditated thing really doesn't seem like something an epileptic would do.

For a while, this incident became another hot topic in Qingyang City, causing many people to vigilantly look around at the people around them when they went out on the street. The scene was quite funny.

Qin Yuesheng didn't pay too much attention to this. After giving ten pieces of evil-suppressing iron and three relics to the blacksmiths in his own blacksmith shop that day and asking them to make a weapon for him, he stayed at home in the Qin Mansion.

Qin Yue had said before that if Qin Yuesheng could master the Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist to the entry level, he would teach Qin Yuesheng a stance when he came to see him again. Although Qin Yuesheng had already mastered the Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist to the entry level with the help of the super assistive device that day, he still patiently waited for two more days before taking the initiative to report to Qin Yue at the martial arts arena.

Still with the same nonchalant attitude as last time, carrying a brocade bag full of medicinal herbs in his hand has become a must-have item for Qin Yuesheng when he goes out. As long as his body can withstand the medicinal power of these precious herbs, Qin Yuesheng will either be eating the herbs or on the way to cutting them into small pieces.

"Qin Yue." Qin Yuesheng shouted loudly beside the other party who had not left yet.

Qin Yue, who was urging the guards to practice martial arts, turned his head and scratched his head in confusion: "Master, are you here to practice martial arts again?"

"Didn't you say last time that as long as I mastered the Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist, you would teach me a stance? Teach me quickly." Qin Yuesheng said.

"Young Master, your Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist has reached the entry level?" Qin Yue was a little surprised. The Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist was not a very powerful boxing style, but it was not something that could be mastered casually by someone who had never practiced martial arts.

"What? You don't believe me? Then I'll show you how to fight."

Qin Yue did not refuse. Practicing Tiger-Crane Double Form Fist can strengthen the body. If one can reach the entry level, the body strength will be almost enough to learn the stance.

So it wasn't because Qin Yue was too bothered or stingy that he didn't teach Qin Yuesheng the stance, but because before practicing the stance, Qin Yuesheng had to first ensure that his physical fitness was up to par.

As the martial arts instructor of the Qin family's guards, Qin Yue naturally knew what kind of person Qin Yue was in his daily life. It would be a miracle if the physical fitness he developed in that kind of life could reach the level of practicing the stance.
