Chapter 226: A Little Progress

"When I was living in my hometown, there was a neighboring family. There were two blind old people raising a stupid son. One day, they suddenly sent invitations to the villagers, saying that their son had the honor of marrying into the family of Mr. Liu from the neighboring village. Mr. Hu did not mind that their family was poor, nor did he mind that the boy was stupid.

When we heard about this, we were all very surprised. Three days later, on the day of the wedding, we went to the neighboring village together to attend the wedding of the fool. But when we went to ask the locals, we found that there was no Mr. Liu in this place, not even a person with the surname Liu.

We were all very puzzled, so we angrily returned to our village and went to the home of the two blind old people, intending to question them about their deception. Who would have thought that they had already died, and judging by the appearance of death, they must have been dead for at least ten days or half a month. And their foolish son had not been seen since then.

"When I was twenty years old, I went out to the county to do business. One night, on the way, it rained heavily, and there were thunder and lightning. Since I was in the wilderness, I was really scared, so I hid in a dilapidated temple beside the road. The temple was old, but it was suitable for sheltering from the rain. I placed the goods around the Buddha altar and prepared to rest.

Suddenly, I heard a lot of shouting outside the temple. I was afraid that it was bandits passing by and would rob me and kill me. I wouldn't even be able to leave any last words, so I hid under the altar with the goods, fearing that I would be discovered.

In a few moments, a group of people really came in from outside, but because of the tablecloth covering the altar, I couldn't see their full appearance. I could only see small feet wearing colorful embroidered shoes walking around in the temple. They looked like a group of women.

Just when I was wondering whether I should go out, these women started singing and dancing in the temple. Some sang, some danced, and the sound was as beautiful as that of a oriole or lark, which was several degrees better than the music I heard in the brothel in my hometown.

The more I listened, the more fascinated I became. I couldn't help but crawl out from the altar and watch it openly, instead of hiding under the table like a rat.

Who would have thought that the women's feet I saw hiding under the table were only feet...

The next day, I slowly woke up and found myself lying in a mass grave, surrounded by mountains. For a moment, I had no idea where I was.

After the four of them finished their words, they turned into ashes and dissipated into the air.

Qin Yuesheng was puzzled. What was this? A sneaky story for each person?

This left him with absolutely no clues.

There was no other way, so Qin Yuesheng had to go and give orders to the White Lotus Sect members waiting in the lobby, asking them to buy some things to ward off evil spirits and ghosts.

As long as the matter of the Seven Stars Supervisor officials was not resolved, Qin Yuesheng naturally could not leave, and these White Lotus Sect members would have to live with him in Antong County. In order to prevent further accidents, Qin Yuesheng had to let them take some self-protection measures.

After dispersing all the White Lotus Sect members, Qin Yuesheng acted alone and conducted a carpet search around Antong County, trying to see if he could find some clues similar to those found at the Wujiang Ferry.

If he could find the bodies of the six Seven Star Supervisor officials, then the matter would be successfully completed. Then he could just report to the Chang'an Seven Star Supervisor that all the people had died at the hands of evil spirits.

Antong County is flat on three sides, except for a valley on the east side. The valley is deep and covered with dense plants. Qin Yuesheng got closer and was about to use his knife to clear a way and go deeper to see what was going on, but at this moment, he suddenly heard shouting from the distance on his left. Qin Yuesheng turned his head and saw two groups of people chasing each other, shouting loudly, with swords raised in their hands, looking like they were going to fight fiercely.

"You bastard from Hongyan Villa! Stop right there!"

"All you guys know is sneak attacks. If you escape this time, I'll definitely ask the Grandmaster to come out and wipe out this bastard sect of yours!"

The two groups were chasing each other and fleeing. The ones in front were in a rather embarrassing situation and many of them were injured. Qin Yuesheng was speechless when he saw them coming straight towards him.

"Senior brother, there is someone here." A disciple from Hongyan Villa said to Qin Yuesheng when he saw him.

The young man he called his senior brother shook his head when he saw Qin Yuesheng: "He is young, and his martial arts skills are certainly not outstanding. Let's not get close to him, so as not to implicate him."

Although Qin Yuesheng was still quite a distance away from them, all the man's words fell into his ears very clearly, causing Qin Yuesheng to nod in approval.

Most people in the underworld are despicable and sinister, while few are chivalrous and kind-hearted.

They will do anything that benefits themselves and harms others. As long as they are safe, they don't care about the life and death of others.

Seeing that the young man was unwilling to drag him down even in danger, Qin Yuesheng felt a little impressed. He saw him jump to the side of the valley and sit down on a big rock two meters above the ground. He stretched out his hand to break a piece of rock, and then broke it into fingernail-sized pieces and threw them at the group of people chasing the young man.

When the wind blew, those who were skilled in martial arts reacted immediately and raised their weapons to resist subconsciously.

But the stones shot by Qin Yuesheng with his internal force were no match for these bandits who were not even good at external forging. Either their weapons slipped out of their hands, or they fell to the ground, or their weapons were broken in two. In short, they all ended up in a very embarrassing situation.

"Who? Who the hell is meddling in the affairs of my Taicang Sect!" The leader of the group raised his knife and shouted when he saw someone using a hidden weapon to attack.

Qin Yuesheng flicked his four fingers, and four stones flew out in a line, hitting the man's limbs accurately one by one, and making four bloody holes in his body.

"Brother!" When they saw that this person was injured, the others immediately gathered around him, helped him up and asked hurriedly: "Brother, are you okay?"
