The key to the door.
Sean felt as if his heart skipped a beat when the other person said this.
That's right... Over the years, Yog-Sothoth's ability has made me feel how strong the so-called "unknown" power is, and the name of the key seems to have gradually become clearer during this period of time. The world is fixed.
No matter in the past or in the future, what is supposed to happen is bound to happen, and the thing that connects them should be the 'key'!
My current appearance is like the 'key' to all the causes and effects around me...
"Is that what you heard?"
"Yeah." Ayla replied.
"Then why should I be afraid?" The other party gave me such a cautious feeling, obviously afraid.
I felt nervous when I was talking just now, but I felt much better after I said it!
"I'm afraid it will know."
"Who is it?" Sean asked.
But Ayla shook her head...
"I thought you would know."
He did know some things about the Old Gods, but so far, he had only communicated with Yog-Sothoth. Ghroth and Cthugha were more like passive transactions. Of course, even if all three were included, that was only three. He knew nothing about the rest, so how could Sean possibly guess who the other party might be?
"This world has many ancient gods and unknown powers. I don't understand what you are talking about." Sean shook his head.
Ayla fell silent...
The two were at the mayor's house. Because the entire southern part of the town was burned down last night, most people had gone there to help, so the two of them felt quite alone here.
"By the way, who did you learn magic from? It's rare for someone your age to possess such advanced witchcraft. I'm sure your mentor must be quite famous!"
Well……
This is hard to say.
And it’s hard to explain!
Now Sean feels that it is unclear whether he taught Lucille magic or Lucille taught him magic. Time and space have formed a closed loop.
"She is low-key and doesn't like to be mentioned, but she is indeed a very powerful person." This is true. Now it seems that Ayla has borrowed the power of the same ancient god, and Lucille has grown up under the guidance of her own BUG-like vision.
Both rely on external forces, but Lucille obviously works harder!
"Can you show me what you have in your hand?" Sean looked at the small bone in the other's hand.
What I saw when I entered the alternate dimension last night was this bone emitting a black aura that was different from the surrounding area.
Ayla looked at the bones in her hand.
"Well, it's hard to wake it up during the day. You can take a look, but it's best not to inject magic into it."
Put the bone on the table between the two of them... It is similar to a skull the size of a palm. If you look closely, you will see that it is coated with a whole metal shell, so it will not rot and it will show a metallic luster if you hold it in your hand frequently.
Sean didn't touch it, but just looked at the bones on the tea table carefully, and the word "sacrifice" appeared in his sight.
"Is this a sacrifice?!!"
"How do you know?" Ayla looked at Sean in surprise.
"Because it's very similar... and what you just said is related to this?"
I was a little confused because there was no garbled vision, but instead very ordinary items.
Sacrifice!
They should be the things used for sacrifices.
"No, why do you have such superb magical abilities but know so little about wizards?" In just a few minutes, Ayla discovered Sean's short swing. She really knew very little about wizards, especially high-level wizards.
In the past, the highest-ranking person around him was Lucille, but now it seems that most of what she learned was what he taught her. Then, stepping back a bit, it became Mirko and Frelia. They all had a high understanding of magic, but when it came to wizards themselves, they all had different opinions.
"A secret technique released with a magic spell, it's easy." Sean tried to say.
But Ayla shook her head.
"That's so superficial!"
"Have you ever thought about the origins of wizards?"
Sean looked at his "mother" in confusion. This kind of question probably wouldn't have an answer.
Just like the origin of mankind, no one can fully explain it no matter what era.
"I'm afraid there's no conclusion to this kind of topic," Sean said.
"But humans tend to think... The great wizard Merlin once categorized everyone into different levels. Before that, the legendary sorceress Cain died in pursuit of truth. Even in this country of alchemists, wasn't there the pioneer Abdullah who sought truth? Seeking the unknown is human nature. These pioneers were all exploring the essence of witchcraft."
"Have you ever considered that wizards originally relied on potions and sorcery to change themselves and the things around them, achieving immortality. They could turn mice into humans, humans into mice...maintaining their appearance, and so on. But suddenly one day, as the world changed, more and more magic was passed down, and various forms of wizards began to appear. Don't you want to solve its mystery?"
Ayla took the bone back from the table.
"This offering is a relic of an ancient witch. Her soul is sealed inside. It was she who told me about the ancient gods and taught me how to trade with them."
"It's very useful to me! At least it helped me protect my family during the most difficult times..." Ayla showed a helpless expression.
