Chapter 55: Rat Pack (Part 2)

Sean stared blankly at the top of the big rat's head and the unprecedented situation that appeared above its head!

The store is very small, with only two rooms. Apart from the entrance, there is only a warehouse inside, and the basement should also be a warehouse for storing things.

"This way! Come here quickly." The shop owner went to the inner room to open the basement door before running over to call the two of them.

Igunya glanced at Sean.

"You go first, Sean." He said this but found that the other party didn't move.

"Why are you still standing there? Let's go." Igunya said anxiously.

However, Sean only realized it at this moment from his observation... Time was too tight and there was no time to look any further. Many rats had already crawled out of the beams on the roof.

The group at the doorway seemed to be afraid of the flaming fluid in front of Igonia's magic wand and dared not move forward, but they kept trying...

Finally, he threw the flaming fluid on the magic wand into the rats, and the two hurriedly ran into the inner room.

"quick!"

The moment I quickly closed the door, I felt the swarm of rats rushing to the door.

The basement is right in the middle of the inner room, extending underground like a staircase at the entrance of a cave...

It was also a wooden baffle. After Sean and Igunya entered, they found that there was an iron door, and they felt relieved.

It should be much safer with an iron door!

The three of them entered the basement and quickly locked the wooden baffle and the iron door. Only then did the noise quiet down...

At this moment, the light completely turned into darkness.

Bang!

Ignia lit a flame on her magic wand.

"Put out the fire! We'll suffocate in a place like this," Sean said suddenly.

Lighting a fire in such a small space would be like committing suicide, so he simply extinguished the flame on the other person's magic wand.

However, the instantaneous illumination of the light allowed him to briefly see the surrounding situation clearly. It was a small room of about ten square meters, with several large barrels filled with animal food in the corners.

Even the air was filled with the aroma of coarse grains.

Of course, it could also be the smell of dust, but it's all mixed together and hard to tell.

"It's too dark in here."

Ignia said dissatisfiedly after the fire died down briefly.

"Use other fire magic, light magic or anything else will do."

"How could I have such magic! And I didn't bring any glowing magic props." The voice sounded unhappy, but because Sean couldn't see her in the dark, he couldn't see Igonia's expression at the moment.

"Please feel free to sit down, it's very safe here. This warehouse was originally used to prevent rats or other insects from stealing grain, but I didn't expect it can be used as a shelter today." At this time, the shop owner who had been silent finally spoke.

In fact, Sean still felt quite sorry for him.

Originally, they were doing business well, but they just came in because they were closer to me, and ended up in what it is now.

I had seen him before, and he should be about the same age as Dante, maybe a little under thirty.

Because he's unkempt and has a beard all over his face, he looks older...

"Do you often see rats around here?" Sean asked suddenly.

He reached behind him and found a staircase where he could sit down. In the darkness, he could feel Igunya moving a little closer to him.

"How could we who work on ranches and farms have never seen mice, but never seen one this big? You just said it was in the sewer? The sewer entrance nearby?" The man said in an incredulous tone.

At this moment, the sound above his head, which had become faint, was suddenly broken by a noise, followed by the sound of footsteps on wooden boards.

"What happened to them?"

"They probably knocked down the door. They should be right above us now."

Because the iron door was closed, the sound coming from outside was very quiet. If you didn't listen carefully, you could hardly hear the rats outside.

"How could there be such a big rat in the sewer!" the shop owner continued to ask.

"That's not a mouse, it's a monster."

"Warcraft?"

"You won't understand even if I tell you. They are not ordinary animals." Igunya said suddenly.

This sentence made the shop owner so anxious that he stood up.

"They won't open this door then!"

After all, this is the last line of defense for the three of them. If the rats rush in, Igonia and I will probably die here together. If we can't wait for rescue from others, we will suffocate in the basement if we stay too long.

"That shouldn't be the case. Warcraft doesn't have such a high IQ... and..." Igonia didn't dare to continue, as if she didn't want to make things too absolute.

"Igonia!"

"Um?"

Came the answer from the darkness.

"Do you know if there is any magic that can communicate with Warcraft?" Sean asked.

"Talking to a monster? There is such magic, but it requires two people to be familiar with it before it can be used. I guess I can't go out and talk to it now."

Ignia probably thought he wanted her to use the magic of conversation.

However, Sean was thinking about something else...what he had just seen.

The "Talking..." status appeared above the big rat's head. Does that mean it was talking to someone?

At the moment, I guess only Igonia and I can be considered wizards. Although Sean admits that he is a half-baked wizard with some magical powers, he didn't hear the big rat talking.
